For those who are having problems opening Multiman, I will leave a note that I received from a friend from another forum and that resolves the problem of Multiman not opening and staying only on the black screen.

this is due to some conflict in the control of the Fan made by the webman.

the solution is simple:

1) go to the webman's page and the Fan control panel, check if the mode is in dynamic mode> automatic or manual.
2) switch to the SYSCON option (PS3 ORIGINAL MANAGEMENT MODE)
3) CLICK TO SAVE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE
4) exit the WEBMAN page and start MULTIMAN again.

probably MULTIMAN will open without any major problems.

after using MULTIMAN, you can return to using the temperature control settings via WEBMAN.

good luck to everyone!!

@LuanTeles , do those ads stick or are they changed/reverted back by having an online connection? I remember creating forwarders on the vita through the ads section and uri calls, but the file would be replaced if you had an online connection. it was cool, but frustrating because of it.

it reads from my dropbox account, so every new change i put, the ps3 will show when online.

I'm using the same method as @DeViL303 did with the PSX-PLACE What's New

it doesn't sound like it works the same way as the vita's. https://www.psx-place.com/threads/how-to-remove-sony-ads-from-ps-vita-pstv-live-area.11331/ there's the tutorial for uri calls on the vita. I told atreyu about the problem, and I think he said to disconnect from the internet, because it will revert back even without signing into psn.

the xmls and uri calls are pretty the same, but since we are editing the explore_plugin.sprx, it won't be replaced by the official what's new links, you can change the links to your own server so everytime it got online it will retrive the information on the custom server.

the vita method just changes the xml. so the psvita what's new server is still the original and eventually will be replaced

but i think the vita sprx can be edited in the same way

possibly, but it might not be safe to tamper with it if you even knew which suprx it was. it's probably a skprx actually since it's most likely a kernel plugin. I've heard too many horror stories of people even messing with the boot logo and having a full brick.

Boot logo is inside the boot partition, so any erros will lead in a full brick :S

anyways

do you know about vita uri calls? like psgm:play?titleid=XXXXXX, i'm interrested in trying it on the ps3, since this one from vita works good, but i can't find any information

I believe there's a list of calls on vitadevwiki somewhere. it shouldn't be too hard to find (I don't think). the boot logo is actually related to the camera, and yeah, it's in the os partition. there's an app to change it without risk I believe, but I've never used it. it technically doesn't replace the boot logo as it can be seen for a split second, it just adds a second custom logo of your own choosing.
