I'm having trouble matching the ps5 background color, even my image being a Screenshot of the PS5, it shows with different colors on XMB,

I tried to get close as possible, does it looks good?

It depends of the day of the month :D
I noticed it very well a couple of days ago because i have the theme settings configured as "original" (where it changes the wallpaper every month) and the original lines.qrc
The color of the wallpaper for january is white, and the color of the wallpaper for february is yellow

But the color of my wallpaper at day 15 january is something in between white and yellow (i dont like it at all)
If i change the date in the XMB settings one day up or down i can see how it becomes a bit more white or a bit more yellow

Can you make a screenshot of the most beautiful month/day in your opnion?

and the default one, maybe january 1st?
 
Anyways i think i'll leave it in this way, because i merged many sources to get rid off the texts and make a clean screen.

I think is a bit like this (in photoshop), im going to try to mimick the color wallpaper for today 15 january :)
1) extract the official dds files for january and february, and join them together in a new image, one layer for each month, with the "actual month" (white) at bottom and the "next month" (yellow) at top
2) change the blending mode of the top layer (yellow) to "colors"
3) change the opacity of the top layer (yellow) to 50% (because today is day 15 of the month)

The result is this, i scaled it up to 1920x1080 also to appreciate a bit better the color degrades and the color tones
In this image there is not any overlapping of the other wallpaper images for "night" or any darkness effects related with the hours of the day, i dont know how to mimick that
15 january is like the omelette day, is a bit weird color in between white and yellow

In other words, it seems the XMB is doing this:
Day 01) actual month =100% opacity, next month = 1% opacity
Day 15) actual month =100% opacity, next month = 50% opacity
Day 30) actual month =100% opacity, next month = 99% opacity
 
The resulting color depends also of this values, located inside:
override/day/BACKGROUND.mnu
override/yoake/BACKGROUND.mnu
override/higure/BACKGROUND.mnu
override/night/BACKGROUND.mnu

Hi everyone, where do i find the official latest download links for this mod, i got my old ps3 back and there is still v4.9, and the resource site is down... ?
 
@LuanTeles , I saw a reply to your post about not getting the colors right for a ps5 pro. I usually use the eyedropper tool in photoshop to get the color, but remember, they're usually using a gradient, so it's not the same color throughout the background.

In the download link there is a file called Read_Me.txt, there are the instructions to install it on DEX systems, or you can wait for a new release it has been fixed again.

Okay thanks but where do i find the download link, if i want to open the download ressource page here on psx-place, it shows me error.
I found 5.1 on youtube but i cant find any newer versions.

As tomorrow is Valentine's day, i added 15 Holidays Widgets to shown on their commemorative dates and clicking on it, it will install a correspondent theme.
I'm wondering if is there a way to automatically applies a theme based on date, without clicking on anything.


@aldostools sorry bothering you again with this, but there is a little problem using different commands to download and then apply the theme.

It doesn't wait for the previous command to be done and it assumes that the file has already been downloaded and tries to apply it, the result is the downloading been cancelled and having a errors.

So i fixed this using a wait command

But the issue now is that it can be slower or faster depending on the user's network, what would be a fix for it?
Also 4 of 7 times that i executed the command, it crashed the XMB when downloading the theme or applying it.
