Just so I'm understand this correctly, there's a difference between a jailbreak and HAN/HEN?
If that's the case, can I install a jailbreak right away or do I need to remove everything first?

Forget about HEN, you don't need it on CECH-2001A (all phat models, slims 20xx, 21xx and some 25xx models are CFW compatible). HEN is only needed by models 3xxx, 4xxx and the 25xx with min FW 3.60 and higher.
Use PS3Xploit Flash Writer and follow the instructions in Step 1-Exploiting:

BTW always use MinVerChk PUP to confirm that your system is CFW compatible. Some consoles have the internal components replaced and they don't match with the sticker for the model.

Your PS3 is CFW capable so better get that because CFW gives more features and better support but if you want to use HEN anyways then there is a HDD version! Use the auto installer (http://**ps3xploit.com >Domain no L... (ps3xploit.me =new)/hen/installer/index.html) or get the PKG in zip provided on the OG post!
 
Cech-3001A 4.84OFW: can someone personally message me on getting hen on this model none of the different processes are working for me​

I believe that is possible. the icon for the clock is in system_plugin.rco. busy_icon (clock face), busy_long (minute hand), and busy_short (hour hand). there's an x and y position for it set at default 0, so you might try messing around with that. warning - as the name might suggest, it's a very sensitive rco, so you could easily soft brick.

Didn't know about the X and Y position. I will try to mess around with the settings :)

If you use webMAN MOD hold down SELECT+START for 3-5 seconds until you hear a beep.
It will show a persistent popup with temperature, version, ip address, etc., even when you start a game / homebrew.
Hold down SELECT+START for 3-5 seconds until you hear 2 beeps to remove it.
