PS3 PS3Xport Tool - Inject backups on 4.83/4.84 OFW

i cant, it is a 7zip file, my proxy dont letme download larg known files, .pup yes, i will try later on wifi,
q: can i instal hfw directly from 4.70 or i must uggrade to ofw 4.84?

Yes you can install it directly from any OFW
 
thanks a lot bro! i download all but the hfw, i will try later, copy all the information u giveme to my usb flash, go to go now to my home, i am at work , later will try on a friend house that have wifi to download the hfw from mediafire, to read all carefully and try it, i have a ps3 slim 3001a, originally 160gb, i changed for 500gb. ofw 4.70 XD. if i got trouble, can i tell you tomotrrow for some help?

PS3Xploit is a valuable tool, e.g. accessing old backups of broken consoles. Hoping for a reply of the author to keep it for the future and being to fix and enhance it when necessary.

Is there a repository of your changes to the original PS3Xport? Or a patch file?
So that your efforts do not get lost.

Your compiled version of PS3Xport creates output with inconsistent end of lines: MAC (CR only) plus Windows (CR LF)
Also there are unnecessary extra blank lines between files and between directories.

GUI: In "IDPS mode" only the index of the encrypted files/directories is created.
It would be great if also the unencrypted entries are listed in the same run.

no need for CFW2OFW Games,Backup Injection nor Data transfert utilty at the moment there is HAN and more than this is HEN which bring CFW functions to no-jailbreakble PS3s so no need to do lot of work not necessary at the moment this will be happening when a OFW 4.85 or 4.86 is released and HEN get blocked

Some people want to keep an unmodified PS3 and still want to access files from a PS3 backup, so there is still the need for PS3Xport.
HAN and PS3HEN modify the file system, therefore not for my main PS3 that will stay clean.

The original PS3Xport was released under GPL 3.0, so modified sources shall be released for public binaries. Also allows to re-use it, fix and enhance it whenever appropiate.

if people want that they should do it themselves or they can install HEN v2.2.2 copy BLXX and NPXX folders to dev_hdd0/game/ rebuild database then install OFW PUP then you will have no modified data nor HEN or any edited files dev_flash will full OFW so you will have clean ps3 as you say

What do you mean with "do it themselves"?

So flashing a full OFW (PS3UPDAT.PUP, not PS3PATCH.PUP) should remove all trails of the modification. Will check the PS3HEN documentation for that.

you want to have clean ps3 just install OFW 4.84 or HFW 4.84 both are the same only diffrence is normal OFW is not exploitable HFW is exploitable

Do it themseleves meaning if they want thing which is unneeded they need to learn programming and do that themselves as devs have much more important things,projets than inject tools ;)

PS3Xport is not unneeded, maybe it is from your point of view as I assume you use PS3HEN. But PS3HEN will not work on backups of ceased consoles (of course user has to own the related idps.hex).

lmn7 may have some other projects going on, but it would be a pity if his work on PS3Xport would get lost. So hoping he releases his source, so his modifications to the original PS3Xport (not his GUI) can be added to Kakaroto's repository (or he pushes them himself). Inventing the wheel twice is tedious and with the source I could provide further patches if I find bugs or implement new stuff (PS3Xport plus also lmn7's GUI).

I don't use ps3 more than 5 6 times a month and for doing tests i have gaming pc and i don't use the ps3 neither HEN only for tests and as i remember i ask him once there will be no source code to be released so don't disturb yourself about injection tool ;)

Yes. But only on CFW, as it needs the "erk" to get D1 / D2 / PIC from disc. The IRD file structure is very simple, it only has the disc sectors and hashes of files, and D1/D2/PIC (unique keys from disc). I will try to create a PS3 app to let the process easier.
