Cobra? If you're running CFW spoof through PSNPatch then you won't be able to get online. The newest PSNPatch if I remember right doesn't even have the option to spoof
 
thanks, but the psnpatch states it will run on any CFW. If this isn't the case, why does it state this ? As I said, I just want to know if I am doing something wrong. I have installed the patch, pressed X, and it still asks to be updated, surely I cant be the only person asking this ?

I see only spoof for cobra firmware, that is actually temporary disabled.

psnpatch is compatible with every firmware version.
Of course it is compatible only to the functions it offers.
At the moment it doesn't offer version spoofing, because it is not need.
As I've said and other members, you should update your firmware version.

You already have your answers for the solution of your problem.

I love the way little weeds like you come out as big men hiding behind forums. If the instructions were so clear, there would be no need for forums would there!! You contradict yourself saying its compatible with all versions, but you have to upgrade to 4.70 cfw. I have used psnpatch with 4.50 previously, and it worked fine, so, you clearly don't know what you are talking about, you pratt.

It is this "weed" that gives you PSNPatch.
It is this "weed" that wrote the instructions.
It is this "weed" that tells you that PSNPatch is compatible with every 4.xx CFW FOR ALL IT OFFERS.
It is this "weed" that tells you that PSNPatch (currently)doesn't offer version spoofing - as detailed in the docs.

It is this "Pratt" that probably is old enough to be your father.

It is users like yourself that would be held responsible for stopping PSNPatch project...

I've never had an issue with PSNPatch, but i read the instructions until i comprehend them before I use it so that may be the difference
If the instructions were so bad, why are there so many people having success, but you are not?

This person made the software, gave it to you for FREE, and now you want to call him names? That's one MAJOR reason projects don't continue, new features aren't developed, and bugs aren't fixed anywhere near as fast is because of people that are ungrateful for the work that is put into it.

If the software is really that BAD to you, or you have a problem with the developer or his attitude, don't use HIS software, that he gave to you no charge, with instructions. There are other options you can use instead. Also if i'm not mistaken, you are violating the agreement you signed up to when signing up to this website by bashing users. That won't solve your problem. It only increases your problem, as now people are less likely to help you due to the attitude you give off. I'm not sure that's entirely constructive for the purposes you originally intended.
 
I stated when I first posted that I did not want any issues. This does not mean I will stand idly by and be abused. IF you dont want abuse, DONT BE ABUSIVE ! In reference to your comments about being old enough to be my father, I doubt that very much....

lol [MENTION=5071]queball[/MENTION] I have read the thread from your first post to your last post and no one has said one abusive word toward you. You are the only one that has been abusive here and toward a dev none the less. we answered your question and you don't don't like the answer so YOU start ranting about weeds and pratts, what's up with that? PSNPatch no longer spoofs Cobra CFW as that particular spoofing method has been patched by Sony to allow PSN access, so yes by not allowing spoof PSNPatch still works with every CFW. There are other ways to spoof for PSN access on lower then 4.70 CFW (as I'm on 4.65 REBUG w/PSN) but I will only tell you to search for yourself as you have not given anyone in this thread any respect, so good luck and please come back when you can act mature

I took great offence at the way you stated that I could not be bothered to read the notes. If you would have simply answered the question without attempting to belittle people, you would not get on the wrong side of people. I do not want to hear any more on the subject. Case Closed!

Theres no issue with specific games.
We must understand that we are all using undocumented approaches when loading game images, disabling CFW and running games over all this when they were designed to run from bluray in OFW.

Anyway, without having more information about what is your problem, I would suggest to run it as ISO in a cobra system.

Very good point. Well said.
In any event, the problem is that I launch the game and it goes to its loading screen and just hangs there while the spinning logo of the game just keeps going in the corner. This is on Habib Cobra 4.70 on a CECH phat model. When I launch the game without PSNPatch it goes through fine so I'm just curious about what the application is doing that would possibly impede the full launch of the game. Thanks!
 
Cobra is friendlier with ISO format. So partially PsnPatch also can be, try convert game to ISO with mmCM, Managunz or similiar. Then place game in dev_hddo/PS3ISO folder.
 
Yes. Run as ISO.
Multiman / mmcm is the easiest approach to create the ISO.

Also, read the PSNPatch faq where some suggestions are already made for solving game launching issues.
