PS3 PSNpatch - Releases / Usage Information (Official Support Thread)

Hi all:

A quick update about webman-mod and psnpatch integration:

aldostools suggested a nice integration in which webman "flags" psnpatch using a common lv2 memory place.
But after some thinking ... what a better flag than ... webman trying to disable syscalls ? :)
Well ... that's it:

KW made some changes in psnpatch in such a way that when webman-mod disables syscalls, psnpatch intercepts it, restores psn access, do its own stealth3 cfw disabling, and unloads itself from memory !
This way, if your press webman key combos or psnpatch key combos, the result will always be the same: psnpatch will take over and do what needs to be done at cfw disabling level.

In the end, this should work not only for webman-mod, but in fact with any other tool that tries to disable syscalls :)

There are still many tests to be done, to warranty the stability of this algorithm and a lot of integration tests with other tools.
We shouldn't expect updates from KW before the week end.

Anyway, KW would like to thank:
Rudi Rastelli for giving the great idea to integrate psnpatch with webman-mod.
aldostools for the integration suggestions and the last PM's - These were the ones that focused in the right direction.

Hello everyone

i am recently new to the PS3 CFW scene so please bear with me:embarrassed: although i have been reading and following for a couple years now.

I have PSNPatch 7/a and although i have a spent many hours reading i can not find a proper answer in regards to updating/uninstalling PSNpatch
so if some one could answer my questions below i would be very grateful.

To update would i simple run the 9/a PKG and it will go over the Previous version 7/a

To Uninstall PSNpatch would i simply delete from XMB ?

Yes to both questions

[edit] but note that to update the plugin you need to run psnpatch application at least once after update.
to uninstall the plugin you must first go into psnpatch application, into the toolbox menu, and disable the plugin. Then you can uninstall the application.

Good morning:
As promised, here it is:

2015.11/A [31 OCTOBER 2015]
[] PSNPatch Interceptor - PSNPatch plugin will detect other tools disabling CFW: will intercept them, do the best cfw disabling, restore psn access, and unloads itself from memory (*)
[] Stealth3 extension extended from cobra and mamba to non-cobra systems.
[] PSN access control was much improved and simplified, yet assuring the best protection.
[] A lot of code clean-up and improvements.

(*) PSNPatch Interceptor was initially made for a seamless integration with webman-mod (for users preferring to use webman-mod shortcuts to disable syscalls), but it should eventually work with any other tools. Read docs for further details.

CHROME MAY COMPLAIN ABOUT PSNPATCH.ZIP BEING MALICIOUS - THAT'S BULL***** !!!!

More info at the first post !
(don't expect more updates to PSNPatch - there's not much more to be done :( )

Have a good weekend :)

You need a valid set of ids. (from a dead console for example). You cannot make them up!

By spoofing another set of ids your console's won't risk a ban.
However remember that any PSN download including DLC are tied to the id set you used when you downloaded them. If you stop spoofing they will stop working until you spoof the same ids again.

Once you have a valid set to use, open the config file with a text editor and input the new psid & idps in the specific location. You can put the config file in various places for it to work, the priority being given first to the config file on USB drive if it exists then inside ithe PSNPatch USRDIR folder. Choose whatever location suits you best...

After modifications in the config file, you will see the new values in the PSNPatch GUI.

Good luck. ☺
Merry Xmas.

Right I have an issue...

It keeps saying User: NULL - Yes I know it means I need a valid account, but I have done that, I have used reactPSN and it worked fine as the user has changed name, but PSNstealth is still saying "NULL" even with that valid user, I have redone ReactPSN several times and still same issue...
I have even created a new account and gone to account management, activate system, game, ACTIVATE.... And still it says "NULL"...

Now one thing I thought it might be related to, is I know it starts search from User 1... Now, I do not actually have a USER 1, my first user is actually "00000268"...

Any ideas on what is causing it to say "NULL"??

That is wrong, would have to be stupid to do that!!, that requires logging in without hiding yourself first, that is just asking to get banned

You disable CFW THEN you log into PSN to create a new account and activate it for gaming.

As kokotonix said, the psn logon is a 1 time process, the local account needs to be tied to an online account in order to activate psn content. Disable cfw, sign up (if you don't have an account) or sign in to your existent psn account, sync trophies if you want, restart the console and WHILE SIGNED OUT OF PSN (remember, you NEED to be logged out to run ANY homebrew) run psnpatch and, like magic, you will be able to activate psn content

As stated on my original message, I have already done that, I even went into account management and activated it that way, and that DID NOT work

Yeah I have already done that, I stated I had tried that in my original first, that is why I am confused by all this...

I disabled CFW, I signed up, I went to account management, I went to GAME, I went to Activate, it said Activation complete... I restarted, I went to ReactPSN, and still "NULL USERS"

Those are the only needed options to activate users.

You might have a corrupted user account.
As a first suggestion you could delete the reactpsn user account you have previously reported.

Rebuilding the PS3 database might also be helpful.

I always download and install a free DLC (eg one from Little Big Planet) from Store. This gets me the "act.dat"-file which is needed for PSNPatch to activate.
Just check out if u have "dev_hdd0/home/0000000x/exdata/act.dat"... where 'x' must correspond to ur current user and not the ReactPSN-user.

If u have probs finding out which of the 'x' is your user:
- just delete all "act.dat" u can find -> download a free dlc -> search for "act.dat" again.
- The folder where it is freshly generated is ur current user.

Regards
Rudi

You might also have just the first use invalid.
Try changing user in psnpatch using left/right keys.

try download some free stuff, this should help. Also using both reactPSN and psnpatch in same time is not needed and can cause problems.

Edit: If nothing help then you can try delete Xregistry.sys then delete all acounts. But read first what you lose when you delete that file!
