agreed.i have done a bit of testing on this front too and i'm finding the compatibility list not very accurate either(eg battle glitch in star ocean first departure is not mentioned) i believe that theres 150+ games that have been succesfully ran with the appropriate MINIS2.EDAT but they have not been shared.I still hope for people share their MINIS2.dat configs to make a pkg like the PS2 EMU CONFIG.PKG
like some are fixed by some users like patapon/daxter/silent hill but no one shared the configs
Correction, there are 33, if someone takes a look at a hexeditor, are always ordered this way in 3 separated areas (from top to bottom)

Sorry, but could you tell me the difference between these PSP Launchers and these ones? Are the latter outdated? What's the difference between GitHub's PSP Minis Launcher and PSP Remasters Launcher and do I need prepISO, Reload XMB, ROMS PKG Launcher and PS2 Config on IRISMAN (maybe I only need the latter)?
The PSP Launchers in Github are the same found in Brewology (FYI I'm the content manager for PS3 in that site)
The main difference between the 2 launchers is that one use "PSP Mini" and the other use "Remaster" mode in the emulator.
Each mode has different levels of compatibility. Minis used a SDK designed to run on PSP and PS3.
Remaster was introduced later to sell some PSP games on PS3 store without need to port the code.
prepISO is used by webMAN to scan content (ISO) stored on external drives formatted in exFAT, ext or NTFS.
For USB disks in FAT32, you don't need it. Also you don't need it if you use IRISMAN, ManaGunZ or multiMAN.
Reload XMB is an addon that webMAN MOD uses to reload XMB after scan for content. It's not needed if you use prepISO.
ROMS/PKG Launcher is another addons needed to run ROMS and PSN games (npdrm) stored in GAMEI folder of external disks FAT32.
PS2 Config is a database of CONFIG files needed to improve the compatibility of PS2ISO and PS2 Classics mounted by webMAN MOD.
IRISMAN does not use the PS2 Config database, but if the CONFIG files already exist in the PS2ISO folder (with the same name of the ISO), the game will use the CONFIG, no matter the backup manager that you use to mount them.
Thanks, but there are 6 psp launchers here and 2 here so I don't know which ones to use and they have different names (the ones in Brewology aren't updated for a long time). Is Brewology a trustworthy site or should I download and installs PKGs from another sites?
I don't use webMAN MOD because it freezes my PS3. I tried different versions, uninstalling them and deleting the remaining files, only using webMAN MOD (and not together with multiMAN/IRISMAN/sMAN/ManaGunZ) and even formatting the PS3 and I still have this issue.
I can guarantee that the files in Brewology can be trusted... I uploaded them myself.
In regards to the difference, read the Release Notes... the description is very clear. The ones in my github are the 2 that are supported by webMAN.
It's just it's outdated in some cases...
Can I use them on IRISMAN since I can't use webMAN MOD? I've been using the PSP Remasters Launcher Fixed [jjkkyu] since I didn't have the black screens I did with the few games I could run unlike with the other PSP Launchers. I've been installing PS2 Config Database too. Do you know some reasons why webMAN MOD may be freezing a PS3?
The PSP launchers are not outdated... they are only placeholders to launch the PSP emulator in /dev_flash with a preconfigured EDAT.
You can use IRISMAN, ManaGunZ or multiMAN. The code in IRISMAN was implemented based on webMAN (except for the recent changes in webMAN that allow to mount PSP games from NTFS or ps3netsrv),
The PS2 Config database is useless without webMAN MOD. For PS2 it's recommended to use ManaGunZ.
I was comparing them and using them as guinea pigs when i was developing an small tool named DB3crawler. Is a PS3 XMB database scanner
...all i know is we have a huge mess
I was comparing them and using them as guinea pigs when i was developing an small tool named DB3crawler. Is a PS3 XMB database scanner
The PSP launchers that changes the priority ON/OFF does something unexpected (they changes the category) and i was taking a look at the database to see how the firmware was dealing with that category change
Additionally, i was trying to compare the EBOOT.BIN and CONFIG files used in all them (but i never made an accurate list of the differences) and i could not understand them, if you has been reading my previous posts of the thread you would realize that i have the feeling we are doing something wrong, it smells fishy

Can we extend the definition of insanity to include "Asking the same question over and over expecting different results"?I already told you i dont like how they works, but i dont have any suggestion or solution
I reported this issue in Cobra (CFW) the last year and it seems to be fixed in Cobra.i use the remaster version of the "jjkkyu" ones with a slight alteration to prevent the "ad hoc" menu screen loading and just goes straight into the game as my system (HEN) was having issues.also, don't know about CFW but with HEN you'll get a black screen if u try to start a game with anything plugged in your USB inputs (continues to load when u unplug)
Joonie said:Regarding the issue with DS3 or USB, Habib thinks it's caused by broken cellpad library. Haxxxen introduced button toggle for psp save data patch in pemucorelib, which seems to be the cause at the moment. So try this one without that pemucorelib patch (it's not applied by default until press pad button to apply so it's not really noticeable for most users)
much appreciated mate, will give that a blast tomorrow.didn't know it was just HEN that still had this issue tho its been no major hardship if i'm being honest!I reported this issue in Cobra (CFW) the last year and it seems to be fixed in Cobra.

It seems the team @habib @Joonie @esc0rtd3w forgot to implement the change in PS3HEN (comment these lines)

I have attached my mod including that fix included.

I once asked this question more than 1 year ago. It is strange that CFW2OFW games only conflict with mounted folder game, not with ISO games. Can you find a solution to this problem?
