You might as well just go ahead and install the latest 4.86 CFW so at least that way spoofing is unnecessary, at least until a new firmware version is released. Either Rebug LITE or Ferrox Cobra are both good choices, so just pick one, download the .PUP and install from USB (formatted in FAT32 with MBR, GPT will not work) via safe mode.

There's really nothing that can go wrong with installing either of these trusted CFW brands as they are thoroughly tested before being released publicly. It'll either install or it won't, and in any event you've already formatted the HDD so you've got nothing to lose. Hope this helps.

Edit: Nevermind :) Glad you got it sorted in the end. I would still recommend a 4.86 CFW though, so at least that way you won't need to spoof to get online so long as 4.86 is the latest version.

so i installed ferrox 4.76 and it is not ps2 games compatible wht u think i shld do

What backup manager are you trying to use? webMAN MOD for example requires Cobra, so if that's your backup manager of choice then I would suggest installing Ferrox Cobra, which is the basic Ferrox CFW but with the addition of the Cobra payload which handles the mounting of ISO backups with webMAN MOD. Other managers like ManaGunZ will work as they have the Mamba payload built in to them, which does the same thing as Cobra and so is similarly named.

So either use a backup manager like ManaGunZ (I think IRISMAN may also Mamba, but I'm not certain about that) or install a CFW which includes Cobra. Rebug or Ferrox Cobra are both good choices for this.

Hello. Is this list updated to 2022? Because I have dragons dogma dark arisen PAL and it doesn't work on my PS3 where I am in Chile which I think is region 1.
