Hmmm, what do you mean with "month colors" ?, inside lines.qrc there are the monthy background images in .DDS format, but thats not enought to change the colors of every month
I think he means the color associated with every month (applyed to the shader effects of the main XMB icons, to the side menu, etc...)
The other trick by changing all the colors inside BACKGROUND.MNU to zero under enviroments like "yoake" "night" "higure" "day" are like a filter applyed on top of the other monthy colors im talking about
But note the difference... we are not really changing the colors for every month because in theory are 12 colors and there are no enviroments for every month
Hi, thanks aldostools, the linked lines.qrc works perfectly - and i'm almost there now i think. Right now, when i turn on my ps3 (hen 3.0.3) it's all black then this sony disclaimer is shown then black again then my black theme - so the last two steps are:
1. getting rid of this disclaimer
2. combining the linked lines.qrc with the playstation 3 bootlogo from the first thread.
So to sum it up ) - i want my ps3 to start like the one in the third video in the first post. )
Hello, I am currently attempting to transform my xmb to have the pre-3.00 look, and I want to get rid of the analog clock in the top right corner completely as it wasn't present in pre-3.00 firmwares, and maybe also bring back the teardrop animation.
I use hen, and I have tried the one made by fellow member dazzaXx, while it does work, it outputs some really funky behaviour with the popups as shown in the screenshot, and I wonder if it's fixable, would be awesome if it is.

That is a side effect of using older RCOs on newer firmware. You would need to remake the mod using the 4.90 RCOs as a base. It will not be too easy as this mod required a few changes, you will need to unpack all of @dazzaXx RCOs, then compare to originals from that FW version to see what he changed.
I thankfully did it without breaking any other aspect of the system, it looks much better though I am pretty sure it would require so much more work to get the teardrop animation back so It's better to leave it as is until someone finds out how to do so.
I have a question, Does anyone here by any chance know how to get the ps2 emulator on the ps3 to display the full ps2 boot screen, I'm not quite sure if it is even possible in the first place, in the case the ps1 emulator it is relatively easy as all that needs to be done is replacing the ps1_rom.bin with an actual unmodified ps1 bios file, however it is not as simple in the case of the ps2 emu.
