PS4 [Research]PS2 emulator configuration on PS4

2x4, 3x3 and 4x4 are not valid commands. 2x2 and none are the only valid ones found so far.
They planed to use 2x4, probably as a uprender for deinterlaced output. But in emu is only available as a comment.
Anybody have any ideas on getting Tony Hawk's American Wasteland to work?
Every game in that series aside from PS3 seems to have the same issue with freezing at the first loading screen, since the settings list for pcsx2 specified round-mode of 0, I thought maybe it might be an FPU accurate range issue, as such I tried making a config with just the wide range recommended by koza for the cold winter game but the issue persisted, I also tried adding that command to the config that allowed pro skater 3 to run (I know dumb idea) but that didn't seem to fix it either.
Tony Hawk 4 and newer have the same issue on pcsx2 and on PS4. On pcsx2 is added note that you need turn off multi threaded VU1 while running newer thps games. Round mode 0 is for later issues after game boots, more info:
https://wiki.pcsx2.net/Tony_Hawk's_American_Wasteland

So if you are looking for fix, all VU commands are good choice to test.

How to get rid of black bars? Is there any way to do full screen?
--host-display-mode=full
No One Lives Forever has this issue. When you finish a level, it doesnt jump to the loading screen. Black screen, music still plays, no error and cannot open ingame menu as it seems to hang.

PS3 emu has the same issue, But PS3 BC does run the game and PCSX2 as well. Do you have any suggestions for me @kozarovv?

Great job on the emu log file!
For US version of game try:

--fpu-accurate-range=0x104204,0x1042B8

For EU version:

--fpu-accurate-range=0x103F28,0x104074

If it help, but is slow. Then try use --fpu-accurate-addsub-range= instead of --fpu-accurate-range= If this won't help, then no idea.
No error, and yes, iirc music still plays. I've deleted the game and decided to have a strop about it for a while >:[

Does battles are playable without satcom fix?

Rygar has the same issue on PS4 as there was in PS3. When we leave the area at the start of the level, the game freezes. Any fix for that? And there are many games which freezes after PS2 logo. Any fix for them?

US or EU, best is to give game ID when you are looking for fix.

Edit:
  • SLES-51445
--fpu-accurate-addsub=0x14D050

  • SLUS-20471
--fpu-accurate-addsub=0x147DA8

My friend, you just FIXED NO ONE LIVES FOREVER!!!!

Can you explain or point me to how you found these offsets? (if they are :P)

I tested on US and the fpu-accurate-range fix works great. I noticed a lag on the PS2 logo (slow and sound fx noise) but not directly in game. maybe the FPS drops a little on fast movement and heavy scenes but I believe thats normal (played the game before this try with goto level cheats). EDIT: runs best on Jax emu

So I will try your speed suggestion also, maybe some configs and report back ^^

This is sooo great, just WOW, Thank you!

Edit: after some more testing, the lag only seems to appear when loading between scenes for only a moment
Edit2: fpu-accurate-addsub-range maybe works better. no lag on the ps2 boot logo at all

Are you sure that your game is NTSC US version? If yes, try this command:

--fpu-accurate-range=0x147CC0,0x147EA0

me and some friends are really scratching our head to try and run Return To Castle Wolfenstein

The game starts perfectly using default config. But alot of problems arise. graphical and sound glitches
As soon as you open a door to go inside a building . your vision doesnt render outside the building. objects like doors .enemies, hidden walls and radio's go missing (they are there but you cant see them). sound that should play inside a building for example from a radio. you can hear that when you open the door and still stand outside but as soon as you go outside... nothing

i tried some fixes
tried various clamping settings -> no effect
tried alternative renderer /upscaler -> freezes at loading screen
tried hle -> freezes at loading screen

can anybody help me please. (or is this problem unfixable and do we have to wait for sony to update the emulator)

thanks in advance

I have uploaded a video showcasing the glitches to youtube :

the graphics as soon as entering another area seem to render seperated so enemies and important items upon entering other area become invisible. and the meshes are somehow lacking and allow clipping trough walls , ceiling at nearly every door, window,...

hope someone can help me :/

@Sparkcakes - do you know what version of the emu you are using first of all? Sometimes it is as simple as using another emu from different ps2 classic.

i don't know. downloaded the ps2emu from this link : psxhax(dot)com/threads/how-to-create-emulated-ps2-ps4-packages-pkgs-guide-by-g991.3644/
is there a link somewhere where you can download all of them to try them ?

Sadly, no one here is gonna help you to find a updated ps2-emu link. Maybe it's forum rules.

Yes it is NTSC US version and with "--fpu-accurate-range=0x147CC0,0x147EA0" it worked. Thanks for that. There are many titles which freeze just after PS2 logo. Any workaround for them?

Guys, have you got any idea if it will possible to "improve" the perfomance of this emulator? Is there somebody working on it?
There are plenty of games that are not even loading.. i mean, they freeze just after PS2 logo :/

The following games i tested that need some fixes-

Blade 2 [SLUS_203.60] - Freeze when Level start.
Onimusha Dawn of Dreams [SLUS_211.80] - Glitches in Menus and Title Screen but playable.
Obscure [SLUS_207.77] - Major full screen white flickering glitch in game.
Zatch Bell Mamodo Fury [SLUS_213.63] - Heavy Slowdown in Menus, Title and Story screens but the game runs fine without framedrop.
Astro Boy [SLES_555.93] - Freeze at loading screen
Kamen Rider 555 [SLPS_203.29] - Freeze after PS2 logo
Kamen Rider Blade [SLPS_204.02] - Freeze after PS2 logo
Alien vs Predator Extinction [SLUS_201.47] - Freeze after PS2 logo.
Avatar The Last Airbender [SLUS_213.95] - Freeze on loading screen.
Avatar Into the Inferno [SLUS_218.04] - Freeze on loading screen.
Dawn of Mana [SLUS_215.74] - Heavy Glitches in game.
Eragon [SLUS_213.22] - Freeze at PS2 logo.
Final Fight Streetwise [SLUS_212.38] - Heavy Slowdown
Digimon Rumble Arena 2 [SLUS_210.67] - Can't proceed beyond menus because they move automatically.
Donald Duck PK [SLUS_204.78] - Freeze after PS2 logo
Gauntlet Dark Legacy [SLUS_200.47] - Texture glitches in game.
Fantastic 4 Rise of the Silver Sulfer [SLES_547.76] - Heavy Frame Drop
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire [SLES_537.27] - Freeze on loading screen

Any idea to fix the black screen after the activision logo in the guitar hero 3 game? I know that in pcsx2 it is fixed with the rounding option set to "nearest" but that does not exist in ps2emu.
