I remade a few cool games with codebreaker if anyone wants? (@sabin1981 all based from his tutorial and help)I was going to post the links but I'm not sure how to hide them in a spoiler etc? I never could get games to work with trophy support? I didn't learn that part from @sabin1981 unfortunately
(There is a way because he rebuilt some official games that had it. Every time i leave the trophies in and try to rebuild i get nw or np errors when attempting to launch) If someone wants to show me how to do it I could rebuild the few that support it?

(Codebreaker works once the main game starts...the intro for example if you have codes on it doesn't matter it plays out the way the game starts....when the main game starts its awesome with cheats)

How would one go about dumping new ps2 on ps4 emus, if one say, had ALL of them on a 5.05+ ps4? I can have you guys those configs ....
 
@Stayhye i have no idea but im positive @kozarovv or @sandungas or @sabin1981 would know! I'm not sure myself due to the fact that i am NOT very tech savvy.......I've made a few PS2onPS4 pkgs and had maybe 10 or so games that just won't work....new available emus may make some of the previously unplayable games work maybe!? Would be awesome if there was some advancement though for sure :)
I'd love to get Baulders gate games going..........best ps2 games!

Its like yelling in the void these days....forums are not what they used to be back in 00s. in groups of 4 or less, secretive, no community. One could actually learn shit on the internet back in the day without being in some elite circle jerk.

You can't without exploit. Anyway new emus not gonna change too much. This emulator is inaccurate on purpose, to reach better speed. That's how it is, and devs confirmed that many times even in configs.

What is required, is developer interested into ps2 emulation. I described ton of stuff on wiki. With that knowledge you can fix most of games, maybe excluding some really extreme cases. But most of games require debugging to make them work anyway. Also pack of ps3 configs are really helpful for many games, vide Spyro that i saw floating here, and there. It is just using ps3 config.

New emu is nice, but don't count it will magically gonna be accurate to run more games. Maybe 5-20 new games will run due to different default hardcoded settings. But that's all. PS4 is weak, and they just can't fix that emu to play more games in cost of speed.
 
Hello! Im was know alot about convert ps2 games to ps3! Im use alot cofig files for it and it works good! On ps4 im see that some games have same problems with work, as on ps3! Any chance use configs from ps3 to ps4?

Very well explained. But, for the "not so skilled"(lazy if you will), that 5 - 20 new games could be all there was to complete their PS2onPS4 collection. The community is lucky to have people like you with the knowledge and skill to explain these technical details. But for me, luck is all I have after I exhausted my knowledge. :distrust: Also, I really want to see the config files for Jak3

lol what devs? you? or you mean the ones that consort in private? who the hell are these people and how does one reach out? I've tried to ask simple questions in the past, and nothing. That gets old. I understand leaks, people wanting something for nothing, etc, etc. But they can't even answer a question though? You are one of the few who still try to help...

That will be close to other jak game configs. Afaik is the same engine, so the same issues, and probably just different offsets/overlays.

I meant there real emulator developers, and quotes from configs like "being accurate on vu is paintful, and it will be too slow" (not direct quote), etc. There is much more things like that.

Also to answer another part of question, i don't have access to any devs that keep stuff in private, etc. Only other dev that i know worked on that emu was @3141card , and he shared db at some point, that helped alot. So nothing were held private ;) I shared your emus with other devs, but they were more interested into fixing emulation on pc using those files, than on helping ps4 emu.

PS3 configs work on ps4, at least many of them. Search forum for "lopnor", i can't find direct link using phone.

I'm found some info, but not understand, do i need put config fike from ps inside iso or inside ps4?
/patches/TITLE-ID/TITLE-ID_lopnor.cfgbin. where is it? Maybe someone do tutorial how insert lua files and configs?
