as you say it screw up the initialization it take no time using the first index html but after you make it mount both rewrite and blind it won't initialize

I fixed the init issue but I was wrong, mounting to both paths does not work with ROP for some reason. Perhaps @esc0rtd3w could explain more.

I have tried over 70 games with HEN 2.3.1 setup as I put in my little guide. Once it's setup just right I haven't had a issue aside from maybe one or two HEN init failures.

  • Hosting the HAN installer xploit on local server
  • Setting it as ps3 homepage
  • Downloading the HAN support files.
  • Installing the HAN support files from USB.
  • Hosting a flash mounter HTML
  • Setting it as homepage
  • Install the HEN pkg
Well there is a simpler way now that just needs 1 html and the latest HEN pkg to be hosted on your webserver, no USB required, no HAN support files required, no flash mounter required.
  • Host the attached html
  • Host the latest HEN pkg
  • Set PC IP as homepage

I am not going to go into setting up a local webserver in depth, there is plenty of info on that available via google.

Here is one way to do it with XAMPP:

PC Setup:
1. You need a local network set up with both your PC and PS3 connected to it.
2. Get a local webserver like XAMPP installed on your PC, start the server.

3. Then put the attached html into the served folder C:\xampp\htdocs\index.html
3. Download the latest HEN pkg from HERE (This should work with any recent or future HEN pkg)
4. Rename that pkg to HEN.pkg (Note the capital letters) and put it into your served folder (C:\xampp\htdocs\HEN.pkg) next to the attached HTML like this:

5. Now take note of your PCs IP address. Open a cmd window and type ipconfig if you dont know your PCs IP address.

PS3 Setup:
1. You must have 4.84 HFW installed for this to work. DOWNLOAD HFW PUP and install it from USB.
2. On your PS3 web browser set the homepage to your PCs IP like this, make sure to use your own PCs IP.

3. Close the browser and re-open it. Then after it initializes like this:

4. You should see this:

5. Follow the onscreen instructions, Close the browser, open and close remote play.
6. Then install HEN from the new icon in the network category.

7. That's it. Reboot.

Hi devil Thanks for the alternate method.but I have a doubt the normal method uses files of over 200 or 250mb I think but don't remember clearly.but your method uses less.is the method like a lite version or is it a complete version

Both methods use the same files. It would only be approx 200MB if you downloaded the HFW PUP too.

There is no index html really. You just need a webserver to host the pkgs and then you need to install an xml on ps3 that contains the links. If you have a way to host pkgs with http links on your esp6288 then its possible to use it.

Check out this application PKG Linker 2,0, even if you are using a different server that not on windows, you can still use PKG Linker to generate the xml required, it will even make a pkg for you to install the xml into the correct location on the ps3. Just enter your webserver IP into the app when generating the xml.
