hi if you know me I'm the guy trying to port programs like pkg_linker ect to mac OS I haven't made much progress and am going to take a breather to play my new Nintendo switch I'll keep tabs on the community and rest assured I haven't given up on you Mac Users

Hopefully the work we're doing now will make your job a little easier when you're ready to get back at it :)

take your time, my friend. I'm sure everyone appreciates your work. :)

I've been bitten by the switch bug myself. I dedicate a couple hours each morning to it. :)

I've been playing odyssey only. I haven't signed in to the eshop, so I'm still at my system's base firmware (4.1.0). I'm reluctant to update for fear of losing out on a hack, but I'm also not so sure if I want to be a part of the hacking scenes anymore. the ps4 may be my last exploited system. I just find that I learn a lot about a system, then never play the system. this has been true of every system since the ps2.

I mostly bought the switch to rekindle my love of gaming which had dwindled down to about five games on the wii u, and those are games I play through over and over again to relax myself at night. I still do the same routine, but I play the switch for a couple hours shortly after waking up at like 4 in the morning. I'm up to around 273 power moons in odyssey. I really like the game, but I do find some of the power moons to be frustrating to get. one of those is the one in the ice flower cave in the snow kingdom. I got the first moon, but I ran into a barricade trying to get the second. I haven't returned, opting instead to wait until I beat the game.

right now, I've been actively searching for moons one kingdom at a time. I haven't consulted an faq, so sometimes it takes over an hour to find 5 power moons (my daily goal). however, I played a bit today in the early afternoon, and I found 14. I've had to have that blue toad mark the locations of moons on the map, and I've been pretty good at the water kingdoms.

it's a fantastic game. I just need to swap the games I've been plying at night with the switch's games. it's just that I've been depressed for so long waiting on disability (should have my first check in a couple weeks).

btw, have you also been amazed by the battery life of the joy cons? I've only charged them once (at 188 power moons) since I got the switch a month ago. :D I got a pro controller (supposedly better battery life than the joy cons) which I haven't had the opportunity to test. I heard that the dpad for early model misreads commands. mine didn't seem to in the controller test in system settings. I only use the joy cons with mario, and since the dpad isn't used in that game, it's difficult to tell unless I test it in a 2d platformer.

I'm tempted to update just to get points for my two games and to check out the eshop. it's a shame that Nintendo has no plans for vc, but I guess they figure the 3ds can do that. from what I understand about the hack and cfw is that it utilizes a hardware defect, so I think I'm safe from buying a second switch. I had thought about it, then updating the system I currently have, but now I don't think that's necessary. :)
