PS3 [SOLVED] 4.84 Keys for SCETool & FW Files to decrypt

As i was working on some projects the next step was ding it on 4.84 but when it came to decrypting the 4.84 files from the firmware i got "keys cannot be found" error, I thought it was something I had done so I reinstalled it still to the same error....

I can decrypt all the file's I need up to 4.83 using the 4.81 keys. I thought these keys have been the same since 4.21?? But looks like they have changed.

Also PUAD give and error while unpacking the PUP when it doesn't on any other PUP file up to 4.83 OFW...

Has any Dev got these "new" keys for this FW version or how can I sus out what they could be for myself. Also has anyone got all the FW file signings for file's in the FW for use with SCE Tool, I have some of the file signings as this has put a stop on my projects and experiments for mods....

I tried PUAD, ALDO tools and TA self resigner SCE tool and they all failed to decrypt 4.84 file's but would all decrypt 4.83 files.

The only thing i can think is copy teh 4.83 key to the 4.84 key and retest.
but perhaps that might be what the change from 4.83 to 4.84 was, closing another hole...

I'll give it ago but I find it odd that I have not updated any keys> they are all still 4.81 keys and they work up to 4.83, so i'll try it hopefully it will work as you know what am working on and getting the "things" from where you suggested in the PM and is giving me a headache lol...scanning through all that code for the right ones..... plus some of them just looks like file padding to me with a shit ton of 00 00 00 00 for about 20 lines.

I only have some of the file signings if am going to do more than a box standard no frills but with all the trims and more... and there is way more things that people have never done before ....well at least I have never seen them done in all these years lol and they work 100%. or are they in the same place you suggested as the other things and i have just skimmed past them lol?

Change 4.82 (or 4.83) keys to 9.99. This way you don't need to change them everytime when $ony make it stabler.

So in a nutshell go through all the keys in "keys" file and just change the version? and leave the rest of each one alone?

Yeah, but not change older keys than latest one. Should be 13 keys iirc (can be wrong here).

So if understand you right only change the keys that have the latest version on . if they stop at say 3.55 or 4.10 leave that one alone? so as mine have not been updated since 4.81, find all the key that are 4.81 only and change their versions only eg:

version: 0004008100000000
to-
version:0009009900000000

or have I misunderstood you....

I put it the wrong way lol.... happens when am trying to do a hlf dozen things at the same time lol. doesn't matter, I just noticed something when looking through them is all. I hit update on aldos tools when through the keys to make sure i edited them the same way I did with scetool that i am using as sometime I like to use the one with the UI in there depending. I have an scetool in every project folder with a cmd.exe in to make it quicker to open, at the bottom of the key list on the last key some where names where multiple and the version were different and so was each key that went with the version:

eg
File name: whatever
Version : 4.81
key: *******

File name: whatever
Version : 4.82
key: ******* ( Different to 4.81)

File name: whatever
Version : 4.83
key: ******* ( Different to 4.81 and 4.82)

Just was wondering about it, changing the 4.83 to 9.99 works for what am doing though.

just rename the last version of keys to 999 then your problem will be gone.

ren *-441 *-999 on cmd

puad will error when decrypting the core os because of lv 0.2. it's nothing to worry about. if it's erroring for some other reason, I don't know.
