PS3HEN [Solved] PS3(ss) HFW 4.84 and HEN: Multiman Black Screen

I don't know if this matters but I will add this. My console is the cech-3001b but I had the black screen issue about five or six times out of every 10 tries. However I went in and deleted webman mod and it would boot up everytime hasn't failed since I also reinstalled webman mod and have not had the black screen issue again. Another thing I also noticed was I had the little webman mod Avatar in the game section as well as when I would enable HEN I would also have the web Man games icon loader So I deleted both and as already mentioned the outcome has been successful after the reinstallation. Hope this helps someone .

Same. Just installed HEN and multiman on my PS3 yesterday and played a few games just fine, this morning found out about webman and thought it was a cool homebrew. But to my horror, after installing it, my HEN started giving me issues(not always, but at least 7 out of 10 times), multiman started to freeze as soon as I started it. So I deleted webman and now everything is back to working normally again.

I rather go out of my way a few steps(go into multiman, load the game, console restart) and play normally, rather than using webman to mount and freezing my PS3 causing me to hard reset it and possibly damaging my system. It's only a few seconds more. I think I can handle it. Haha
 
I did everything mentioned above and nothing worked for me , 1 out of 4 times , i get to see multiman screen instead of a black screen , someone please fix it

The 'same' issue with my PS3 brought me here.
Anyway i wonder what makes my PS3 turn into blackscreen with multiman sometimes.Running 4.86 HFW HEN btw.Also got webman installed.Is it webman really cause this?

I have fat PS3 CECHG04 and just installed newest CFW Evilnat and than Multiman, but like all of you, when I try to start Multiman I got only black screen, but I get it 10 times from 10 tryes... webman gives me only black screen too... tryed different CFW like Ferrox cobra and even HFW with HEN, but all the time result is the same-black screen wen starting multiman or webman... No any errors during instalation CFW or file check after paste them into USB stick...

try the latest file from here. webman was updated a few days ago to fix a critical bug.

you can also try lite edition instead of full.
 
Actualy I have tryed latest versions of webman and multiman (downloaded just yesterday). but I will try lite version of webman. Maybe it will work for me.
I have another PS3 slim with Evilnat CFW, webman and multiman installed ant it works perfectly in that console.
Maybe the problem is on console by itselve, but not in programs...
 
So, my history with black screen continued... Today I have updated to OFW and than again flashed to CFW. As I expected multiman and webman still gives me only black screen, but I notised that my PS3 accepting USB stick not so fast as it should... it takes about 20-30 seconds from inserting it till it shows on ps3 menu... maybe it is some kind of sympthom of something important for black screen... PS3 by itselve starts as it should, its menu works without freezes...

Hi! I have a problem with multiman on hfw 4.87 hen.
When i launching a game from multiman(example:Nfs Carbon) it's just blackscreen, i need to update multiman?

Sometimes Webman and Multiman can clash, from my experience. If you have Webman and multiman source downloads, you can try deleting both and reinstall. I would reinstall Multiman last. It might fix the problem. Or you can reinstall 4.87 HEN if that's what your using. If it's CFW I'm not sure as I've never used CFW, and it could lie (elsewhere) possibly.
