PS4 Stuck in a PS4 safe mode loop

the only thing I can suggest is try initializing the hdd. this will format it. if that doesn't work, try a different hard drive.

I just remembered that there are two initialization options in safe mode. choose the one that has (install system software). that should wipe it completely clean or you can do what I did with my banned account -- take out the hdd, then format it on the computer. I used a sata station, since it's easier. there are about 14 or 15 hdd partitions, so delete them all in disk management or disk part.

I am considering replacing my hard drive. but i think i should give formatting a try too... will save a few bucks

can you please link to some guide like reddit on how to do that completely.. I have searched online, and everyone tells sth different.... i don't want to make any mistakes

Nvm guys i fixed it by power cycling my ps4

basically, all you need to do is Hold the power button on the console for at least 10 seconds until it turns off completely.

Now Press and hold the power button several times until there's no remaining power which will clean all the cache and drain the PS4 from any current.

I took help from blog to fix my ps4 loop you can check out more solutions there too.

congrats. it's not something I would've thought of. I power-cycle my jtagged 360 with the cable unplugged after flashing it with a new dash kernel. it's recommended, though I'm not sure of if that's true now. I still do it though.

Just wondering. Does this problem started after a Kernel Panic?

not sure about this problem, but there have been numerous reports of kp's damaging some people's hdds, while others have had hundreds of kp's with no issues.
