PS3HEN [Support Thread] PS3HEN Bugs, Problems, and Other Issues

Hello, I downloaded the latest release of HEN on my super slim and everyone said the ps3xploit.me site was down but I checked it a few days ago and it was back up so I decided to run it and install multi man. This morning I turned on my PS3 and there is no sound at all. I tried messing with the sound settings and nothing.

Any solution? Thanks
 
Hi, i had this problem since HEN 3.2.0 or .1
I installed HFW, HEN and then webman mod. The activation of HEN randomly freezes, it's very rare but it happens with the HEN logo on screen. After switching to webman mod lite that freeze and Youtube freeze occur less than with webman mod full. I have a super slim
 
Hi, one day i was using my ps3 and hen sudently stoped working and i tought the best sulution was to reeinstall hfw and when i did it it said the update was done but when i chck the sytem info it doesnt say hfw 4.90.1 and hen doesnt work.
 
After installing HEN and other packages, I restarted my console, but every time I try to load HEN through the 'Enable HEN' game, it just loads forever. To make myself clear, it doesn't freeze because the loading symbol in the top right still spins. I jailbroke yesterday and the only packages installed have been from the Brewology website, and are all fully updated (99% sure) I've restarted my console at least 10+ times attempting to reinstall the 'Enable HEN' game and it will sometimes enable it, but after a restart, it goes back to loading forever. Please help.

Your other packages are probably stores and they are $hit! that's why you can't enable hen anymore

Reinstall HFW+HEN
 
hello, I am trying to install HEN on my PS3 Slim. I have the latest version of webman and FW 4.90. Everytime I complete the inizialization successfully, it says Preparing.... (if I do it via the alternate exploit site) or "Installing..." if I doit via the autoinstaller page and then freezes immediately.

What can I do?

hola a todos despues de actualizar firmware a 4.90 tuve la mala suerte que mi disco se rrompio ahora quiero colocar un disco nuevo pero no me deja instalar el software nuevo del sistema por mas que apreto START + SELECT no avanza y me quede sin consola
 
After enabling HEN I lost a controller it no longer turns on. It froze on the ps3 and I had to force it off then the ps3 turns on but I can't get the controller to work. Now I only have one left for my superslim.

did you try to plug it in with usb cable afterwards? sometimes they seem to lose pairing if ps3 is forced to shut off like that.

Yea I have and no LED indicator. Nothing comes on.

Now it's showing the indicator but blinking once then turns off

Earlier it wouldn't turn on at all but now the Bluetooth on the controller is no longer working. Meaning it will only turn on via USB.

Nvm it got reset and now it is working

Merry Christmas All,

For the past 3 days I've been trying to get HEN to work on my slim CECH-3003B with no luck. I'd greatly appreciate any help.

HFW 4.89 and HEN 3.2.0 or 3.2.1 used to work just fine (don't remember exactly which one I was on).
After updating to HFW 4.90 and 3.2.2 Hen just won't work. When I hit "Enable Hen" the logo will display as normal but there won't be the usual "Welcome to Hen" pop up message in the top right corner of the screen. It just returns back to XMB. I can try a dozen times and the result will be the same. Package manager does not appear.
At the beginning I thought that it's the outdated Webman on Irisman causing the issue. I tried the blank plugin txt file method on the USB, enabling Hen with R2 pressed etc. The next step was to format the HDD and fresh install of the HFW and HEN. No luck.

I did manage to enable HEN about 3 times. The first time was after I'd done a fresh install. I turned off the system and after turning it back on I was back to square one. The second time was when the system froze after another attempt to enable Hen. I had to press and hold the power button. After the usual file restore process I was able to enable HEN. At this point I installed Webman mod. Webman must restart the system to complete the installation and obviously It wouldn't work after that. Another time was after I unplugged the console from the power socket (it's not a working method, must've been a one off). Now fully installed Webman almost immediately crushed the system and after that even the file restoration wouldn't get the system up and running. I had to restore ps3 form the recovery menu. I wonder if there's an app breaking issue with Webman just waiting for me to somehow fix HEN. I've also tried rebuilding database, a few more fresh installs, formats etc.
At this point really wish I hadn't updated. I guess I couldn't have predicted it as doesn't seem to be a common issue. Having said that, I have seen some posts from a couple of other users describing something similar.

Please let me know if anything comes to mind.

So a few months ago I had a PS3 slim with HEN 4.89 and OFW. I had to manually install 4.90 to both the HFW and the OFW. Once that was successfully done after an hour of use, the PS3 had hard bricked itself. I should note this is a CECH-3001A model.
Now, I have a new system, also a 3001A. I'd like to install HFW so I can get access to Beacon for Littlebigplanet community servers, but I fear that installing HFW on the current OFW will create a similar episode.
Would you happen to know any work arounds or something to look out for in the future so I don't have to run into the same issue of losing the PS3?

Or rather, is it safe to install HEN 4.90 for my untampered system and can I expect little issues without any recklessness?

The hard brick pretty much made my last ps3 unable to boot, unable to power on, and unable to restart, and I even swapped everything out. No dice. Wanna make sure I can care for this new one while getting the most out of it. :)

This happened to me. But it would not turn back on again no matter what I did. I got a new PS3 system, unmodded. I'm concerned that if I install HEN, with it being a slim 30xx model, I'm not sure if it's safe. Does yours still work, and is it a similar model?

Sorry but I have a 43xx superslim and yes it still works lol
 
How do you know it's actually bricked? Is it not possible to enter the recovery mode?
Have you tried to boot without HDD? If it displays a warning message than it's not bricked.

BTW. @bguerville, would you have any idea why HEN would not work for me? It's almost like something's blocking it...
Any ideas will be much appreciated.
