since you have to format and reinstall your firmware for a new HDD,you can install HFW without having to install OFW first as i just have on a 500gb.i think you can CFW your model,if thats the case i would do that rather than HEN.
 
so it turns out if you have browser debug on and you have set your user agent to anything other that the default "Mozilla/5.0 (PLAYSTATION 3;1.00)" hen will not enable and instead it will stay at the hen logo indefinitely (shocker i know)

why was i using a different user agent you might ask ? i was looking for wallpapers on google using the psp user agent since that one allows you to see and download the images directly instead of taking you to the webpage where they are

anyway lucky that while being on OFW mode it still allows you to change the user agent, changed it back and it was back to normal

i tried more than 15 times to install HEN 4.91 on my ps3 super slim but no succes
the initilaisation works without problem but to install the hen i get this message as showed in the picture
"HEN Failure! Restart PS3 and retry"

i tried it too, somtimes it works, somtimes no
and when it works, i find HEN installed on my ps3 but doesnt work good and wihtout PKG manager
 
Hi guys, hope y'all doing well.

My firmware version now it's 4.85, then I have to put the 4.85 HEN, right?

But I heard that the 4.91 update cannot be applied on devices that have the bluetooth module problem, and that's exact my case.

The question is, I can update to 4.85 HEN with the bluetooth module problem or should I fix it first before I install it?

If you update your console with a broken BT module, you may end in an update loop until said module is replaced or fixed.

I would advice against updating your FW until you find some console workshop service that can handle this.

Hello everybody. I have a problem. I bought a ps3 super slim with firmware 4.88 in 2021. Hen installed it and noticed that in such games as last of us and uncharted 3 the locations are not fully loaded. I changed the hard drive to a 480 gigabyte SSD from Kingston, and everything was fine until the end of 2022. This problem appeared again, but it resolved itself. But at the beginning of 2023, after updating the firmware, the console began to hang and take a long time to download games. I read that it could be a problem with the SSD, I formatted it and checked. The condition was good, and I installed the firmware in a new way. But the problem did not disappear. I was helped by the fact that the firmware from Nikolayevich allowed rolling back (it was the Hen version that could be rolled back). I rolled back to the previous version and everything was fine. But as soon as I connected the Internet, the set-top box started hanging out again. This went on for a few weeks and after Hen's new version the set-top box started working fine again. But not for long, and then I installed the firmware from ps3xploit, which helped me and worked until March 2024. This month the problem returned. Now the games take even longer to load and the sound sometimes disappears. I run games through webman. I will give an example from Uncharted 3. If you start the game first, after turning on the console, it loads in 10-13 seconds (this is at the moment with the ring). And if you start another game, and then return to Uncharted, then loading will take 20-40 seconds. In addition, as I already said, the sound may disappear for a few seconds, and the loading of the level will last up to one minute, instead of 20-30 seconds. I believe that this is not a problem with the SSD, because I installed Gran Turismo, and the game installed in one hour and 40 minutes. I found a temporary solution to the problem in the reconstruction of the database. After that, the game loads quickly and the console does not freeze. Reinstalling both the official firmware and Henna also helps. Please help to solve this problem.
 
Can's send or see files via ftp even if i'm connected


I can enter to the ps3 system storage and see HDDS..etc also i see what's inside
But there's a problem i can see only for example
Hdd_01>package
After that it keeps only loading.

ALSO THE PS3 STARTS LAGGING FOR UNKNOWN REASON WHEN I CONNECT VIA FTP.

Hello, i am unable to run BGToolSet on my PS3. I've delete many times Cache aud cookies, restart my PS, it constantly says "Error Loading Page (80710a06)" when i click on "BG ToolSet" → "Main menu" from PS3Xploit.me

Is any one can help me ?

I suppodes an error with HTTPS as i can access BG ToolsSet from my computer, so I also tried with WebOne Proxy (that bypass HTTPS to the client) and it only shows a blank page

First, this thread is not about BgToolset.
Second, Bguerville is aware of the issue and will take a look at it when he can.

If you go to the points where the Game Data Utility is located, then go to save, then the menu and other tabs start to load for a long time, and the console itself starts to work slowly and turns off for a long time (as shown in the screenshot). After restarting the console, everything is fine. This issue occurred after installing update 4.91. For those who write that it is a disk problem. I have an SSD and have tested it on my computer and found no issues. When this problem does not appear, the games load normally (although there are some problems, but we will talk about them later). Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to fix this problem?

You don't understand. It's not about the SSD being bad or broken, it's simply that the PS3 is not compatible with them. No model of them is.

And it's being reported many times that SSDs on the PS3 bring tons of issues.
 
Hi all, I have encountered a boot loop problem on 2x Super Slims now. I suspect triggered by any one of the number of hard power offs I've had to deploy due to crashes.

Long story short, I appear to just be able to cancel the error and it loads up fine, but it's a bit annoying and seems like a bug rather than a hardware fault, having occurred on two different consoles here...

Below is 1) what I'm running on, 2) what I've looked at to try and clear it, and 3) the homebrew I have installed.

Any pointers / forum links would be most appreciated!

What I'm running on:
  • PS3 Super Slim
  • HEN 3.3.0
  • webMAN Mod 1.47.46h
  • (note the other SS console is running HEN 3.2.2 and webMAN Mod 1.47.45)
What I tried:
  1. Start with controller as normal, "the system was not turned off properly...", but it has the normal coloured background
  2. Hit X for OK, gives a black screen, controller is now off, comes back with the same message as above, but now a black or very dark background
  3. Hit O, it enters into checking and restoring the file system, progress bar, etc.,
  4. Once that is finished it restarts, but loads to 1. again..., controller off
  5. Now hit O, loads to XMB, no errors
  6. Turn off system from PS Button menu
  7. Turn back on, back to 1. again...
  8. Hit O, loads to XMB, no errors
  9. Enable HEN, Network, Hybrid Firmware Tools, Dump Tools, View Log, which displays:
    1. Log-File cleaned. (I had tried this previously)
    2. Yesterday 9pm [xai_plugin] : 1 : xai_plugin_stop()
    3. Yesterday 9pm [xai_plugin] : 1 : xai_plugin_exit()
    4. Yesterday 9pm [xai_plugin] : : _xai_plugin_prx_stop()
  10. Assuming nothing particularly suspicious there, I didn't clean again
  11. Then went to Hybrid Firmware Tools, Service Tools, Rebuild Database
  12. It rebooted, to start screen with coloured background, controller off, said "The database on the system storage will be rebuilt", took less than a minute, rebooted, but back to point 1. again...
  13. I then deleted all Game Data Utility except for PS2 CONFIG Database and XMB Manager Plus
  14. Turned off system, but it started back to 1. again...
Homebrew I have installed:
  • Simple File Manager
  • Gamepad Tester
  • RetroArch CE
  • PS2 Classics Placeholder (& CONFIG Database as above)
  • Apollo Save Tool

I suspect a failing hard drive, unless you have the emmc model and no hard drive.

You can try running the debug version of HEN by using HFW Tools -> Development and changing mode. Reboot ps3 and enable hen again.

Then plug a lan cable into PC and run a tool like socat to get debug logs.

The logs under view log will not really show anything useful, other than xai_plugin related.

OK thanks.

I'd be surprised / disappointed if it's a HDD failure - 2x HDDs on 2x separate consoles. The latest, albeit used HDD, has only been in the console for 2weeks after a full write/read surface test with HD sentinel.

Looks like I'll have some learning to do to get a decent log then, thanks for the pointers. If I'm successful in obtaining that, am I best to upload it into a reply here for advice?
