Strange that you don't like Mediafire, it's one of my favourites actually, along with Sendspace, Mega & Dropbox...

Anyway, there are many such pkg available on official link.

Try this one for instance:
http://b0.ww.np.dl.playstation.net/...P00030_00-NETFLIXRIGEL01NA-A0211-V0100-PE.pkg

I could compile a list for you but there's one out there which isn't really updated but contains more than enough material for you.
Check out the official pkg links listed in each section of the OP in this page:
http://www.nextgenupdate.com/forums...eaming-multimedia-app-package-collection.html

Most of the packages linked there are relevant to this issue, even the patched one.

And yes of course, pm me whenever you need. It'll be my pleasure to help if I can. [emoji6]

i like mediafire but my country does not. lol
I check the pkgs, they are just apps, not video or music.
you mean to make a pkg that is installed to the video or music category not the game one?

Of course they are apps but they are in a different column according to usage type.

None of the apps in the thread I mentioned, Amazon video, Netflix, popcorn, mlb.tv..., the list is long.. use the game category.
Some use photo, music, video or TV...

u can change the pkg install location with the package.conf. there r a number of things u can call each category. for example, GameExec and GameData both will install to the games' tier.

In the end a good pkg builder should be able to support all the common types of ps3 apps, no matter what category they fall into.
Those are not special packages using uncommon settings, they are just standard apps that have existed from the beginning of the PS3 era! [emoji5]️

might want to included ForcedInstallTo which I've never seen in a normal pkg. the only problem with it is that if u don't include an sfo u'll get a blank entry of infinite loading for the installs.

also, this app might include an edat pkg builder. I have the tool to do this, but it only creates licensed pkg files. the problem is that u have to create the edat with the pkg, so it's more akin to piracy. however, ur forced to. I've yet to find a way to pkg an edat itself other than an edat with no data.

Pinky's suggestions are cool & it would be fantastic to have these features implemented however that's more work... [emoji3]
As to the piracy aspect, well most of the tools can be used in such a way anyway... I don't think it's worse losing sleep over... [emoji6]

one interesting thing I discovered is that u can mass install themes with a single theme pkg. would be cool if u could do the same for edats. don't know how though. the themes thing - all that's needed is placing all the themes in the contents folder.

How is an edat installed exactly? What steps are taken by the system?
Let's say you do it manually, what steps would you take?

they're c00 edats, and they're installed to the exdata folder of the profile ur signed into. I have a tutorial on how to do it. there's an app that specifically makes edat pkg files. I've never found a way to do one correctly with make_package_npdrm.

Why not? If it's only a matter of copying?
What happens to the pkg? Error on install?

no, I can't figure out how to pkg it. an empty edat pkg installs, but I don't know how to create an edat pkg without having the app create the edat as well as the pkg.

Ok...
What tool is that again you are using?

TAPR already contains edat pkg packing on the very 2.00 version.

that I was unaware. I think the version I'm using is outdated. I just had to redo everything on my laptop, so I'm not sure which version I'm using. I'm using whatever I was using before since my laptop saved the files, not the installs. :p

Do you want to give it a go again then?
