PS3 HAN [TUTORIAL] Convert PSX/PS2/PSP Games for PS3Xploit 3.0 HAN

Hey! Has anyone tried installing "The Suffering" here? I've already got a lot of games working, but this one just doesn't seem to work. The screen goes black and turns 720p but it's just black for 10 seconds before going back to the PS3 XMB. Any advice? It also shows the 80028F17 error.

Compatability list says the suffering has "minor graphical glitches".

This is one of my favourite ps2 games I'll rip my copy sometime in the future and test myself.
No promises though, very busy right now

I'm new to this and it works just fine but after 2 games, it will replace one of them. I've tried deleting a few ps3 games for space just in case but for some reason I can only have 2 ps2 games on my console. Has anyone had this problem?
 
Hi i recently modded my PS3 super slim and all games work but Metal Gear Solid 2. After the PS2 Splash Screen the game stuck in a black screen.
The Compatiblity list says its fully playable. I ripped my own DVD a few times and converted the game a few times but nothing helps.

Is there any special config i should use or is there another way to get this running?

I don't understand the need of points 10 to 15. I've converter Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Máximo Ghost to Glory in a pkg file using only points 1-9 of your tutorial, and they worked. How is that possible?

Even now I tried with The lord of the rings The Two Towers, and It doesn't work.

Well, actually The Two Towers also works without the need of doing points 10-15 of your tutorial. The NTSC version doesn't work, but PAL does.

So... what I said in my previous post: I don't understand the need of points 10-15.

That's because the ps2 placeholder rap is a one time thing.
It will cover all ps2 conversions after installed

Ok, thanks, I see, but I didn't do the steps 10-15 even the first time I installed a converted PS2 game (Budokai Tenkaichi 3 if I remember correctly).

But I installed some days ago Ps2 classics placeholder app, but uninstalled It later, as I had to add everytime the ISO.BIN.ENC format of every PS2 ISO game into the Classic placeholder folder in the internal hdd (and only one ISO.BIN.ENC file everytime, so when I wanted to play a new PS2 game, a had to uninstall the one which is in PS2 Classic placeholder folder. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong with all this PS classic placeholder thing...)

Anyway, that xxxxxxx-0000000-00_12345.rif (I don't remember the numbers exactly) is in my 0000001/exdata folder, so I guess that that is the important and that is why those installed PS2 games work.

Tools PSX PS2 PSP


  • The longest and the hardest one. If you already own a ready PSX2PSP game, go to step 11
    1. Get your PSX game in a bin/iso/img format
    2. Open PSX2PSP in Classic Mode
    3. Go to Options
    4. Set compression to 0
    5. Restart the app
    6. Pick your ISO
    7. If you have a multi-disc game make sure you choose your CD2 in the "file 2" section
    8. Make sure your file1 Game ID fits your Main Game ID
    9. Put your Main Title ID somewhere in a txt file, you will need it
    10. Launch compression
    11. Get your EBOOT.PBP
    12. DON'T Drag it on the rifgen_edatresign from ps3xploit resigner and DON'T resign it, it's an old step
    13. drag it on "make_psone_metadata.exe"
    14. Now you have an ISO.BIN.DAT file
    15. Hold Shift and Right-Click somewhere in your folder, open CMD
    16. Execute the following : "make_npdata -e ISO.BIN.DAT ISO.BIN.EDAT 1 1 1 0 16 3 00 UP9000-TITLEID_00-0000000000000001 5"
    17. Get your ISO.BIN.EDAT and put it to "PS1 Classics PSN Work Folder/USRDIR"
    18. Get your EBOOT.PBP and put it to "PS1 Classics PSN Work Folder/USRDIR/CONTENT"
    19. Modify the ICON0.PNG and PIC.1PNG to your game's logo and background (if you want to) using photoshop/paint.net/whatever
    20. Rename the "PS1 Classics PSN Work Folder" to your Game TitleID
    21. Copy the folder to Trueancestor PKG Repacker
    22. choose "fast PKG"
    23. Resign the resulting PKG with rifgen
    24. Get your PKG and install it on your PS3
    25. Enjoy

    1. Get your PS2 game in a bin/iso format
    2. Open PS2ClassicsGUI
    3. Encrypt
    4. Get the resulting ISO.BIN.ENC
    5. Go back to PS2ClassicsGUI
    6. Make PKG :
    7. Right click the Image/Background if you want to edit it
    8. Double click "PS2 Classics" to put the name of your game
    9. Put whatever you want as TitleID, you can search your game's on Google
    10. Once you're done Make your PKG, sign it with PS3xploit Resigner and put the result on your FAT32 usb
    11. Get the rap file for PS2 Placeholder R3 (2P0001-PS2U10000_00-0000111122223333.rap)
    12. Sign the rap file with rifgen so you could get a rif
    13. Inject the rif file to your PS3 either with the HEN exploit,either with this method : http://www.psx-place.com/threads/tu...iles-second-method-make-c00-games-work.16692/
    14. Install the Placeholder and the game
    15. Enjoy.


    PS : If it doesn't work, try to not sign the ISO.BIN.ENC but the PKG File instead
    (Note : you need to install the Placeholder only once)

    1. Get your PSP ISO
    2. Open PSP2PS3 Gui
    3. Select your iso
    4. Pick "Options"
    5. Let everything as it is (PSP Remaster)
    6. Convert
    7. Sign the obtained PKG with PS3xploit_resigner
    8. Install the PKG on your PS3
    9. Enjoy


If you get the 80029567 error, just enable "debug PKGs"
You could transfer > 4GB PS2 games with the following method (it works) >>>>> LINK <<<<<

I just did the PSX section on 4.86 HFW w\ HEN 3.0.1 - All worked. Just missed 'Use PARAM.SFO Editor' in the instructions. The included template folder defaults to Koudelka / SLUS01051

The link that I posted explains how to create psx classics with multi tracks CDDA and multi discs.

I don't have a new method. The tool that I created only automates some steps in the process.
 
Great, you did a wonderful job for the Ps3 scene. But, please, what tool I have to use to encrypt? It's not mentioned in the tutorial...
 
I need some help. I know It's late but I'm trying to convert a psp game to pkg the game is Gundam Vs Gundam Next Plus it a Japanese game but its patched in English and its not converting.

Have you tried to create a PKG of Astérix and Obélix XXL? It always corrupts the PKG file and makes it impossible to play in PKG mode.

Does anybody know if there is an iso of Dissidia duodecim FF that can actually run on the ps3hen? Or injecting a save file bypasses any problems?
