hi, i have a problem with the second point. I access on the site of ps3xploit and when it finishes to install hen it gives me an error message. i have ps3 superslim with 4.84, can you help me plis?
 
Why when I plug my pendrive into the right port on the USB PS3, when I enter "System Update" and "Update via data carrier", it tells me that the right data for the update was not found? As I try with any other it works then :/ Help!
 
Hello, I'm new here. Hello all!! I stayed at Part One - HEN Prerequisites - HFW. Everything is going smoothly, without errors. But I don't have an XMB menu anywhere. Then I log into the account (no changes without logging in) and go to Part Two - HEN Installation, Enabling and Updating. Method 1A installs HEN (ps3hen.upt is downloaded) reset and nothing. I don't have the XMB menu, I can't run, enable or disable anything The entire ps3 menu looks normal. I have ps3 super slim with 4.84 system. What am I doing wrong? How to go further Sorry for my English.

You have only done step one, you need to install HEN.

Try setting this to your PS3 web browsers homepage , then close and reopen the browser to install HEN. Follow the onscreen instructions. http://xmbmods.com/i
 
Hello everyone. Could you please tell me if by installing HEN the games and saves will remain on the HDD or not? Because I have a super slim PS3 with purchased games from the PS Store, and I don't want to lose all of that. Thanks!

Many thanks, this method worked. I installed Webman and I'm starting to test Iso files. I don't know where to download them. But thanks a lot for your help.
 
Just a heads up for the lovely folks of this amazing forum :

Install webman MOD and then install ManaGunZ. You can use ManaGunZ to transfer the ISO or JB Folder (Game Folder) to the PS3SIO or the GAMES folder on the PS3 internal HD drive using a simple pendrive of any size that can hold up your game data, even in NTFS format.

I have tried all of the file managers, and all have failed except MGZ. All the rest have crappy UI or have to do a lot just to get the damn data copied. In MGZ, insert the PD, MGZ shows PD contents, press TRIANGLE and then copy data to internal drive. Good Lawd! MGZ rules.

The method of installation listed here is even 10x better if you already had HAN installed. Now, I can transfer stuff using the PKG linker and the PD method. Awesome.

For the first time in my life, I actually not regret buying my PS3.
 
Okay, one more lovely info for you lovely folks.

Alongside MGZ, install irisman for the lovely in-built FTP. Connect your PS3 with LAN cable, match their IP address and voila! You can use FileZilla to transfer anything between your PS3 and PC.

Is it possible to get HEN on CECH-3001B Slim on OFW 4.84? Do I have to install the OFW 4.84 (PS3UPDAT.pup)listed in part one? I already updated my PS3 to 4.84? Can't I just go from Step Two ? What is something that could go wrong that I can prevent?

Yes, just update to 4.84 HFW first and then install HEN afterwards. You may have to install HFW via the recovery menu/safe mode, if it won't allow you to do it via the XMB under System Update.
 
How to do this?
"Extract 'Latest_HEN_Installer_signed.pkg' from the HEN exploit zip to the 'packages' folder on your USB flash drive.".
I can't find the HEN exploit zip. I don't really understand in this part

Thankyou so much, i lost my hopes when i realize that my ps3 slim cech-2006 has minimum downgradable fimware 3.66, but now its amazing i'm playing my backup games and i'm on HFW 4.84 NOW,
Things i did is :
* i dont want to play online , so i used my main psn account,
* when i tried to signing it asks me to update to ofw 4.84 (previously it is on OFW 4.82)
* did update and followed tutorial throughly without any mistakes,
* initiallizing han is really a tough one, got it successfully initialized on 5th atempt,

And after starting the game I have a black screen all the time. Should he install otherwise? I live in Europe, I recently installed Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 [PSN] [DLC] NPUB31806. Maybe this version doesn't work on my PS3

How come you have US region DLC when you live in Europe?
 
What should I pay attention to pkg files to make them work? When I had x360 it was enough for the free and xd3 regions.

BTW. Isn't PS3 region free?

Can I use this method on a CECH-2001B ?
I already used your guide on my CECH-3001B and it is working really great so I don't want to use another guide like REBUG or something like that even if I know that this particular model is downgradable.
