(UPDATED ) TheFlow teases us with ux0:/ access via USB with taiHEN?

It's CFW Framework, this is just the beginning with more to come. If it has to work upon boot then none of the v3 slim PSP's, Go or 3000 models are CFW either. I do agree its an exploit but I do think taiHEN the way it works is the infancy of a CFW. But that is the grest thing about the scene and this site we are all allowed our own opinions. taiHEN works in such a diferent way then HENkaku. Maybe that is why I see it as a CFW not an exploit. We can add DEX files customizing the firmware that doesn't need taiHEN or HENkaku upon boot to use and it isnt an OFW at that point, does that not make it custom? Or the Live Area mods and RCO/XML edits don't rely upon taiHEN or HENkaku to work once implemented. That isn't an OFW and a CFW. If the PS3 DB firmwares are considered a CFW then why not these mods?
 
A CFW is what it is, a customised firmware that you can install. Taihen is not like that, it keeps the ofw, exploits a vulnerability, establish a framework which then allows you to customise the existing firmware.
It's a ofw customiser, not a customised firmware per se.

However, @atreyu187 is right in a way because who cares how things are done, before installing, after installing, only the end result matters.. We can squabble about the name we give to it but in practice, one day if development continues, taihen could bring as much power to the Vita end user as a PS3 CFW does...
 
I don't think its a squabble just us voicing our own opinions. Not like we are trying to force someone to see our way. I think each and everyone of us has a valid point. PSP LCFW replaces firmware files that until activated work as OFW. Either way the fact we have control over what we bought is what is important. I don't mind not having full control of my PS4 on 4.07 as PSN makes up for thst. I am not willing to trade in my PSN for homebrew. The Vita though I dont miss the online aspect a bit.

Here is where i will strongly disagree, as someone who has for the past 5 years did what was needed for proper information and detailing things properly. If we are wrongly attaching a term to something, that actually has alot of scam behind it as well. THAT IS AN ISSUE FOR THE WHOLE COMMUNITY.

We should be able to just say Vita CFW does not exist (as it does not) and anyone offering one is a scam (as they are out there). Now with sites that WRONGLY called HENKAKU a CFW (also taiHEN) . it gives validity to those scams, when we could do the opposite and PROPERLY call something what it is and help eliminate some potential scams & confusion.

Sorry but when you see "VITA CFW" as a main section on a site like @Wololo 's . That is showing noob users there is possible Custom (modified) firmwares out there. When that is not the case. So when they goto that section and see no there mention of CFW. They are going to do what. ?.. Start looking and searching when there in Vita CFW's what in the hell do you think they find. A scam or some BS..

I know wololo argument is that well when "Vita CFW "is searched they will see his good site, but what he does not understand it gives the scams validity as i have said.

Example: noob see Vita CFW on wololo main section cant find a CFW and what does one do then? They search and then you see well something like this link come up.

I never used the cfw terminology for taihen & never will so am not sure why you are quoting me here..

LOL, I was agreeing with you (hence why i liked your post) EXPECT on naming aspect of it :) was more directed towards @atreytu187 (and wololo a bit, was just adding to your quote) but was saying why i disagreed with the part i quoted in regards to the naming (how it was mentioned to be not a big deal when it is.
