way to remove timestamps on trophies???

What happens is when a PS3 has never been connected to PSN... the user accounts you create contains a "dummy" ACCOUNT_ID PARAM.SFO - PS3 Developer wiki
Instead of a valid ACCOUNT_ID all these user profiles contains an ACCOUNT_ID filled with zeroes (and this dummy ACCOUNT_ID is used by the firmware to create the savegames, trophies, etc...)

What i dont know is what happens when you register in PSN one of these accounts with a "dummy" ACCOUNT_ID
Though i always speculated the process takes some minutes because is needed to "rebuild" all the savegames and trophies of the user (to add the new ACCOUNT_ID in them replacing the zeroes)
Now it seems you are confirming my theory... the PS3 is able to rebuild them (this was obvious because rebuilding them is one of the native functions)... but you are also confirming sony servers considers them valid after the rebuild (this was not so obvious because they could simply refuse to validate trophies unlocked from a non-registered machine/account to avoid risks of cheating/tampering with them)

So i guess if you want to revert back the PS3 firmware to the state where doesnt stores timestamps... the first step is to delete your account
And then associate the old trophies with a new non-registered account... and then register the account again in PSN

-------------------
If there is some error in what i just said please correct me, half of it is speculative and deduced years ago but never tested by myself

sorry for being a noob, but how can i delete my account? and could you be more specific about the account? do you mean the user account on ps3 itself or online account?
idont know on how to delete online account... can u teach me? thanks... :-)
if

I meant the account stored in PS3 (triangle over your user icon on most left column on XMB... then delete)
Actually, the PS3 firmware considers the offline account and online account are 2 different things because you can have different user names in them, different user icon, etc.. (and after registered in PSN the offline account is associated with the online account)

but even i create a 2nd user account and earned a trophy, it does still contain timestamps...
and like ive said before, i replaced my hdd without backing up the old hdd, so no old files on new hdd...
but still, theres a timestamps when earning trophy in every user even i didnt connect to psn yet since i replaced new hdd...

i think theres some files needed to be deleted in flash or nand (not files on hdd), to detect ps3 itself as never been connected to psn...
i just dont know what specific file is it...

good day guys, just a little question here, i dont want the timestamps on my trophies...
on my old hdd way back 2 years ago, i didnt connect it to psn, thats why my trophies at that time doesnt have time stamp...
then 6months ago, i connect my ps3 to psn (im using sen enabler), and at that time, trophies that i get have timestamps...
This is related with what i said before about the dummy ACCOUNT_ID filled with zeroes in offline accounts that has never been connected to PSN, not related directlly but indirectlly because the user account info has been updated
Honestlly, i never realized and never heard of the missing timestamps on offline accounts, but what you explained is clear as water
The gneration of timestamps in individual trophies is a consequence of the registration in sony servers

But explain to me what you did please, i understand all your old trophies didnt used timestamps, but when you connected to PSN 6 months ago, you was using the same hdd ?, and that hdd contained the old trophies without timestamp ?, you had different trophies in your PS3 some with timestamp (the new ones) and others without it (the old ones) at the same time ?
If so... what happened when you registered in PSN?... the trophies was considered valid by sony server and updated and synced to your online profile ?
Because if this works then is a perfectlly normal behaviour to not having timestamps... it can happen in an official firmware... in other words... the fact that there are not timestamps is not going to trigger any ban or warning in sony servers

i just tought changing the hard disk will revert its settings regarding acquiring the trophy without the timestamps again,
but even i changed my hard disk, after i get a new trophy, theres a time stamp again even i didnt not yet connect my ps3 to psn after HDD change...
i also tried to format hdd, default setting, downgrade, reupgrade, but still, whenever i get trophies, theres a timestamps...
so is there any way to revert back "getting trophy without timestamps"... do i need to delete something inside the flash? or is there anything i can do inside sen enabler? so that the ps3 will detect itself as never been online before...
thanks a lot...
But did you restored something manually ?... like the user profile files, xregistry.sys, the trophies itself, whatever ?
I dont get how is posible to keep this registration info in a PS3 slim that has been hdd formatted
The user account info is stored in xregistry.sys, and in first PS3 models with a NAND flash the xregistry.sys is stored inside NAND... so by formating the hdd you are not efectivelly "killing" the xregistry.sys... this is a problem of NAND PS3 models when you want to clean up them
But in a PS3 slim the flash type is NOR, and all the dev_flash* regions (partitions) are stored in a virtual region (partition) named VFLASH on hdd... so when you format the hdd... for sure the xregistry.sys is killed

But for this to happen is needed to format the hdd from a PC... the format made by the PS3 is not good enought because involves making a copy of "some" of the old info inside xregistry.sys that will be used to generate the new xregistry.sys after reinstalling firmware
Probably this is the mistake you did, you formatted hdd from PS3 and this is not a real format

Also, before attempting a cleanup (by formatting hdd, deleting users, etc...) be sure to disconnect from internet by disconnecting network cable or disable wireless connection (you can go to xmb settings and use wrong settings, this way is imposible to connect to internet)
I tell this because the PS3 connects with sony servers and sends info to them inmediattly after booting the PS3 (much before user login)... so maybe is the machine and not the individual user accounts what is triggering that timestamps generation

ok im going to xplain the whole thing...
---OLD HARD DISK---
2 years ago im using my jailbroken ps3 without going online, i get trophy w/o timestamps...
(PS3) 6 months ago i connected to psn, at that moment newer trophies that i earned have timestamps, old trophy remains w/o timestamps...
(PC) after i sync to psn, when i log on to psn on my laptop, newer trophies have the real time stamps,
but old trophy without timestamp shows timestamp with the year 19XX when i log on to my psn account on my laptop...
2 weeks ago, my hardisk becomes corrupt... so i bought larger capacity HDD... i didnt backup anything from old hdd...
---NEW HARD DISK---
i didnt restore anything from the old hdd.
i just insert new hdd on port, asked me to format the disk
asked me to reinstall firmware
asked me to rebuild data base
i never connect to psn after hdd change
but still whenever i get/unlock a trophy, it does still contain timestamps...
thats really weired...

Indeed is weird because in a PS3 slim by replacing the hdd by a new one... in the practise is the same than formatting it in PC... so there is no way for the old info inside xregistry.sys to remain
For sure the xregistry.sys is a "fresh one" created from scratch

So whatever is triggering the timestamps is not in xregistry.sys... neither in the hdd
But then the only places posibles are flash... and syscon

And in flash the only place posible is inside EID... but this means the EID is "updated" when the machine is registered in PSN network for first time ?
Im not so sure if the PS3 has the habillity to update EID

The other option is a flag in syscon or something like that
This is posible, but again not so sure if this is what is happening

In both cases... is something that affects the whole machine... not the user accounts (all the user accounts are affected but indirectlly by the machine), right ?

-------
Not sure what to say at this point... im out of ideas of how it works
The only thing i can imagine that could be usefull to debunk the theory of the EID is to compare your actual EID with one taken from a dump of the flash made before the PS3 was connected/registered in PSN
But im not so used to it so i cant help much with that comparison, i guess you should decrypt it and compare the values... or simply by comparing hashes

----------------
Edit:
Btw... because you are not restoring a backup of the trophies... when you say you "unlock" them how are you doing it ? with rebug dex feature ?
Because maybe this is what adds the timestamps
try to unlock a trophy in the normal way by playing... there are lot of games with stupid trophies that are unlocked with easy things to do, like "play a race" or "create your customized stuff for first time", in games like little big planet i think there are a few of these that only takes 5 minutes to unlock

Did you update your firmware then? I mean maybe timestamps are only created offline on newer firmware.

I have a PS3 in rebug 4.46 lite, never connected to internet (is in a subnet without external access) and all my trophies are without timestamp
In newer firmwares i dont know... but i can tell firmware 4.46 and older doesnt forces the generation of timestamps on trophies

I'm kinda surprised that no time stamps exist if having not connected to psn. timestamps have existed for achievements on the 360 for as long as I can remember. my guess is that it was a sony attempt to prevent people from unlocking achievements with an app considering u can with the 360. however, the timestamps get messed up that way leading to a gamerscore reset. since it's doable on official firmware as well, u typically don't receive a console or profile ban. however, the reencryption process with the ps3 should fail with the ps3 on the most current official firmware, so it's safe to assume ur on cfw. I suppose that might be the biggest difference. a part of that is due to the gpd (game progression database where achievements r kept) r located in the profile itself. I believe they're separated on the ps3, so there is more control with that.

noctis90210 , u rebuilt ur database, correct? 'cause the indexer for that also contains profile information. there's a numeric next to each profile that I've been unable to determine its purpose. it could be related, but that's a guess at this point.

thanks for this info, im not good at coding things... but at least i have now idea to where i can look...

yup every user is affected, even i create another user (never connected to psn yet) still have trophy timestamps...

i tried both, normal & rebugUnlock but still have timestamps...

Another candidate to store the registration info (pointed by joonie btw but i agree is a good one) is the cvtrm area on NOR at offset 0xEC0000
Flash - PS3 Developer wiki and Flash:cvtrm - PS3 Developer wiki

thanks for this another theory... like ive said im not good in deep coding/hacking... but hope someone could figure out on how to remove the data (revert to default) these files...

i read this cvtrm... i need to go to factory service mode in order to reset this cvtrm file... and in order to use factory service mode, i should be on 3.55...
but downgrading to 3.55 using rebug 999 downgrader result in rebuilding the database and told me that "Cannot start. correct hard disk not found"
im QA enable before downgrading... tried to install again rebug 4.75 but everything is ok, then downgrade using 999 downgrader again but still same problem...

this problem is not happening on my old (now corrupted) hdd...
on my old hdd i can go back and forth on 3.55 to 4.XX without this "Cannot start. correct hard disk not found" problem...
is there any thing i need to do on rebug toolbox so that i can downgrade back to 3.55 without problem aside from QA enabling?
thanks...

Try to set jumper in hdd to sata1 mode. Write which hdd model you have and i show you "how to" then.

the metadata indexer is on the internal hdd, so if reformatted the hdd and r still having an issue with timestamps, it must be something in the flash causing it.

If you still have your old hdd then try this:

With your new hdd inside the ps3 install any 4.xx cfw, turn off ps3 remove hdd. Don't format it on pc or anything.

Put the old hdd inside and downgrade to 3.55, turn off ps3 remove hdd
(side note if you have qa enabled and you turn on the option "system update debug" then you do not need to use downgrader pups if you install firmware in recovery mode)

Put your new hdd in and reinstall the same 3.55 firmware. It should work now.

i read that running FSM or do a rsod fix will remove any corruption on cvtrm file inside nor flash so what i did...

tried to downgrade to 3.55... run factory service mode, revert back to normal mode, play games ... still with timestamps :-(
tried to run rsod fix, play games... still with time stamps :-(

Im not really sure if FSM rebuilds the cvtrm with "cleaned up" info so i cant tell if it could solve the problem, but based on your test it seems it doesnt

So back to what i said (maybe im wrong but i still think the same), the 3 candidates are EID, CVTRM, and SYSCON
Syscon is a chip that has not been hacked, how works and most of its content is unknown, so if what you are looking for is inside syscon by now is imposible to revert it to factory... syscon is a big road end
EID and CVTRM are areas of the flash, you can "crop" them in a hexeditor from a dump of your actual flash... and then compare his hashes with the same areas cropped from a flash dump made before you connected the machine to PSN

Thats all i can imagine can be tested at this point... if the comparison is different (and if you have a flasher) maybe you could paste the old areas in the new dump and write it in flash... or simply write the old dump completlly
Not sure if it could work though

But for this tests with EID and CVTRM you need a dump of your flash made before the PS3 was connected to PSN, do you have it ?

oh i didnt backup my ps3 nand before i connect to psn, i think its on vtrm area cuz it says something about trophy here... hope someone c0uld figure it out...
