PS3 webMAN MOD 1.47.06: Plugin now Supports 4.82 CFW CEX

Following the update to backup manager IRISMAN developer @aldostools also recently updated webMAN MOD, this popular PS3 plugin is a manager but in plugin form. It contains many and also different functions then some of the homebrew apps that are managers such as the mentioned IRISMAN, multiMAN (by @deank) or ManaGunZ (by @Zar). This plugin is small in size but packs a powerful punch with a huge list of features and honestly this does not touch all the features for the plugin. Its a great piece of software for your Homebrew Enabled Console. Additional details about webMAN MOD can be seen in the webMAN MOD forum here in the psx-place forum >> Link

Is it possible to load backups from a NTFS partition (external HDD) using this plugin?

By the way, I've been using Webman for a day so far and I've set the fan at a manual 35% level, obtaining interesting temperatures for both Cell and RSX (always below 60ºC). The problem is, as you know, at the manual setting, the fan is working constantly. Is there any problem with this? I'm afraid it could turn into a problem in the long term with the fan.

The full edition of webMAN MOD is able to scan NTFS partitions directly. Or you can use prepNTFS to scan NTFS in any version of webMAN/webMAN MOD/sMAN.

Regarding the other question, the fan is normally running all the time. 35% shouldn't cause too much stress to the fan. Alternatively you can try dynamic fan control with a target temperature of 65ºC.

After loading iso from xmb, all games won't show PIC. Was in previous release too

This seems a temporary memory issue. I have seen this behavior before on my PS3, but I'm unable to reproduce it again.

hi man, first of all thanks for great releases!

i just wanted to ask if could be possible to launch ps2 ISO's from nfts anytime soon?also,PSP iso's currently do not work at all from any location and from any more recent cfw (latest 4.82 cfw's,rebug...)

also,on what cfw is this release tested?

thanks again for all!

It is not possible to launch PS2 ISOs directly from NTFS. webMAN MOD first makes a copy to the internal hdd (only the first time) then launches the copy. The reason why it is not possible is because PS2 emulator restarts the console with a new VSH that doesn't load Cobra; to access NTFS it is necessary to use a sprx that act as proxy that process the I/O requests from the game.

By the way, PSP games are not mounted on XMB as PS1/PS2/PS3 games. They require a launcher:

i think i've tried version or two from that list and that wen launched it asks for psn access.and my console is banned.

what version from there i should try?

edit: and i'm currently on latest rebug rex and integrated webman mod with prepntfs 1.17 because it's the only version that's working for me (ps3 and psX backups from nfts external drive and ps2 from internal hdd,i can't launch only PSP iso's).

You can try "webMAN MOD" from Brewology and hold L1 when installing to install the full edition:
http://store.brewology.com/ahomebrew.php?brewid=310

To play PSP ISOs you should have installed this launcher:
http://store.brewology.com/ahomebrew.php?brewid=247

there's 5 different versions on the link you provided.i've tried PSP Remasters Launcher MOD [atreyu187] because as i can see it's last uploaded, and after installing and lauching it asks to go to playstation store.

i'd rather stay on integrated weban on rebug because it is the only one that can launch ps3,2 and ps1 backups.all other versions had problems with ps1 or ps2 games,or both.

When you have webMAN MOD integrated into REBUG enabled updating webMAN MOD updates that integrated copy and doesn't install a separate copy

aldostools can You in integrate PSP Launcher [Official by COBRA] to webman mod, this would be great feature than using an external application to launch games, mount games exactly like ps3, ps2, psx.

Use Priority ON for PSP Launcher and after install PSP Launcher [Official by COBRA]

This one reason they chose not to integrate it in future releases, the plugin is always updated for the better

you don't need to believe me,i really tried and tested everything i said myself.

DEX357:

thanks man,i'll test it and report.

edit:

tested, working from internal hdd (PSPISO folder),don't work from external ntfs hdd (PSPISO folder).

rebug rex 4.81.2 rex noBD,integrated webman,prepntfs 1.17

I just have to chime in. I'm on Rebug 4.81.2 and I'm running WebmanMod, and loving it. However, setting dynamic fan control, regardless of Target temp, results in a constant high speed fan for me. This also happens if I select manual at any %.

Any idea as to why?

What model PS3 do you use? I remember that there is a certain model with known fan control issues.

I am having issues mounting PS2 ISO files. I have them in \PS2ISO on my NTFS drive, but WebMan MOD doesn't list any of them in its XMB folder. It successfully displays the games in the \PS3ISO folder.
