PS3 webMAN MOD 1.47.34 - New XMB / Startup enhancements from Aldostools in this update.

Developer Aldostools, a great developer in the PS3 Community continues the evolution of a tiny but powerful plugin that runs in the background of your CFW or HEN exploited systems that is capable of running background plugins (sprx). Of course the plugin of mention is webMAN MOD. This plugin contains alot of functionality alot and can give your exploited console a variety of new features & abilities (see readme tab)., In the latest updates to webMAN MOD the dev has turned his attention to XMB customization adding some functionality that gives user's some new creativity on your PS3's UI (or better known as its XMB), We recently seen the efforts in Pixel Art by Aldostools and developer @DeViL303 but now with this latest update to wMM we have some additional features for XMB customization.

PS3 CFW webMAN MOD 1.47.27 CFW 4.86 Support & New features from Aldostools.jpg

Some of the new changes include the ability to change or randomize: XMB waves / Boot Sounds or Wallpaper on each boot of the cycle. Also you now have the ability with the plugin to use audio visualization, video player or photo slider as a dynamic Theme background on your XMB as well. These features along with the recent Pixel Art are giving modders of the XMB some new idea's and eye-candy options to work with on your PS3. See full changelog and other changes like prepISO 1.28 now supports "exFAT GP exFAT GPT", see these changes and others listed in the changelog provided below.

    • Added option to auto-play XMB music on startup of the plugin
    • New web commands: /chmod.ps3<path>, /browser.ps3$music, /browser.ps3$home and /stat.ps3<path>&id=<title_id>

Yeah, you are right, it would need to be a set order rather than random. Then you would arrange the files so that the rco is always one step ahead of the audio.

They could work if the remap was being made just right at the end of the gameboot process, so when the xmb got loaded back they were be already loaded, but i think it can't be made.

The sequencial remap is more feasible

Random gameboots, or even rotating gameboots seems complicated and not really worth implementing IMO. The Gameboot is really a preference to have enabled or not and I personally would not use a randomized one. Does not make much sense if you are getting random different gameboots from different consoles when booting games from other consoles.

Now if it could be made so that PSP games used the PSP gameboot, PS1 games used the PS1 gameboot, PS2 games used the PS2 gameboot etc, then that would be much more interesting.

That kind of thing might be possible in theory, by having all of them added to custom_render_plugin.rco and lines.qrc at once with their own names on the animation scripts, Then using something like Cobra to patch the custom_render_plugin.sprx to change which one is called depending on the game type mounted.

I doubt anything like that will ever be done though, Most Cobra devs are not really interested in xmb modding stuff and that is fair enough. (not including aldostools here as he works on Cobra stuff too, and is always very helpful to us xmb modders :) )

so if the sprx is patched, you can have multiple different sound bits?
No, the sprx just enables audio, to swap the sound you can just swap the ac3 file. This is not a big deal as the ac3 file is not loaded into RAM when the system boots up.

@aldostools while on the topic of WMM , I wanted to ask. Is it possible to have like Ps3Netserver to mount on XMB as a virtual USB drive? Instead of or having a choice from appearing as a disc. Thanks Aldo, great work from you as always. Appreciates you! :encouragement:

The PS3NetServer works because the PS3 thinks that it's reading a Bluray disc, but Cobra is redirecting the SCSI commands to a proxy module (netiso.sprx) that connects to the remote server and handle the requests from the PS3 and the resposes from PS3NetServer.

the same concept applies for exFAT/NTFS/ext2/ext3/ext4. But here the proxy module is rawseciso.sprx

If you need to access to remote content from a virtual USB, you can remap /dev_bdvd to /dev_usb000 or to any other path.

Thank you @aldostools . How would I go about remapping dev_bdvd to dev_usb000?

@aldostools i think something is off here, aren't the sounds to match the gameboots, since they are in the same folder?

I have some reports:

1 - The first coldboot will remain the same as the one installed ( it's ok and you already told it) but the sound will come from the next coldboot logo.

2- The second coldboot will follow the first item, it will show the logo of the remaped gameboot sound that played in the first time and have the next gameboot in the list sound.

3 - The random algorithm seems broken, i have 10 gameboots and it will always shows the same in every startup ( the same 3 every time even if i reboot the console or delete the wm_config.bin and reboot).

4 - The gameboot seems to got stuck in the 3-4 gameboot, it will only show the same logo and sound ( some times the sound changes, but the logo will be the same).

*The gameboot are always the 3,5,6 and 7 but only 3 of the logos will show.
i tried about 30 times, the others never got remaped

Dude this opening with the name rebug was sensational

i am trying to launch ps2 ISO.BIN.ENC.I have a folder in PS2ISO named SLES-82029.inside i have the ISO.BIN.ENC renamed SLES-82029.BIN.ENC and the config file named SLES-82029.config.i have installed the ps2 classics placeholder and played the tetris game.IRISMAN 4.87.1 freezes when i try to mount the game.webman mod mounts the game but the console shuts off immediately after playstation 2 screen,no red light on ps3 requiring it to be unplugged and back in again.the game is playable according to the compatibility list and i used PS2 Classics gui to encrypt the ISO,more than once.am i missing something?
i only need to play a small amount of the game as an encrypted iso,the rest i'm playing as an install as i'm trying to see if playing as an encrypted iso makes a difference to how the joystick behaves in a certain part of the game.as an install, the ps3 joystick behaves differently than the ps2 and last time i played this game i had to transfer my save to my ps2 for about 15 mins of gameplay in order to proceed with the game.

I've had some issues while using this, not sure if it was on my end but after installing Webman it won't let me connect to online and I know that it wasn't my wifi because I've tried several times of uninstalling and reinstalling it but the issue still occurs. Please help me when you got the chance.

make sure the setting "Delete syscalls and...on startup" does not have a check mark. there is also another settings at end of the same line, maybe it is set wrong...

also remember that you must be on 4.88 to go online. you can also spoof but that is not recommended right now.
