PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

I mean webman mod last update has ability to show ps3 ,ps2,ps1,psp iso title in top of game category instead of Webman games folder , so i refresh xml using webman command so my game appear in top of game category like PSN style when i scroll to any ps3 iso title the PIC1.PNG didnt appear (background) and still have xmb wave not PIC1.PNG

If you mount the game you will see PIC1.PNG, webMAN MOD does not and can not not use ICON0 or PIC1 in its own XMB menus. Just because it can show icons on the root level does not change the way it works.

Update using the built-in updater or download the new build from github or brewology.

Could you send me your CUE file? To analyze what is the problem.

EDIT:
I think I found the issue. You can update using the built-in updater and test the new build.
Or download the installer https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/releases

@aldostools Tiny thing, I noticed that the current PSP launchers do not include placeholders for PIC1.PNG, PIC0.PNG and SND0.AT3. Due to these not being added to the database when you initially install the pkg these resources are not utilized when you first mount a PSP game.

If you want them, Here are some launcher pkgs with blank placeholders included, no other changes.

Thank you for the files. I will include them in the next commit.

@aldostools why after update webman mod last version ★ app_home/PS3_GAME has gone and didn't appear again , is there any option in webman mod setup to enable it appear again in xmb?

If you're on HEN, the icon ★ app_home/PS3_GAME was made optional due some users dislike to have that icon.

Go to /setup.ps3 and check the option /app_home found in the top section "Scan for content". Save, then rescan for content. & reload XMB (or reboot).

Hi @aldostools. I'm trying to install packages on PS3 using ps3netsrv (with an INI file, called PKG.INI), but I'm not able to mount a disc (with directory "packages" inside). I've looked at webMan MOD repository, and I think it's because there is no "packages.INI" support on ps3netsrv. Am I doing something wrong? Is there anyway to mount a disc with "packages" directory from ps3netsrv (using an INI file)?

Try putting the pkg file in the folder PKG inside the shared folder. Mount /PKG so the pkg file is found in the root directory.

Make sure that the file extension is all lower case. The Package Manager does not detect pkg files with extension in upper case.

Thanks, that worked. The problem now is how to mount a disk directly from PS3? I used sman through my computer and I accessed the context menu (opened with right click mouse) to mount, but I didn't find anyway to show that context menu using the PS3 controller...

Edit: if files are on "root" of "shared folder", after mount the folder "ps3netsrv\PKG" the disk appears empty. I had to put the files inside "PKG/<folder>" and mount "<folder>", and this worked.

Oh I see... the option only was appearing if /app_home is found in category_game.xml
Try updating online to get the latest build when the /app_home will appear always and can be turned on.

It should appear here:

@aldostools, nevermind... I got it. Just clicked on "address bar" on sman and was able to mount it. About the "empty" disk, I think it was my fault: I didn't update/refresh game list. Thank you.

Edit: I don't know what's wrong. Sometimes the packages appears, sometimes the disc shows as empty. Even after reload/refresh games

It is not necessary to reboot. Only re-scan games and refresh XMB.

The app_home icon is added to fb.xml

Same thing bro [emoji30] didn't success to get /app_home/PS3_GAME on XMB , I re-scan games and refresh XMB and no thing happen and try to install webman mod last update again and HEN last update and reboot and still didn't have app_home icon on XMB

Edit:
i think there is a bug in some where in webman mod?

app_home is gamedebug iirc. it's in the category_game.xml in dev_blind/vsh/resource/explore/xmb

edit: I think instead of dev_blind it's dev_rewrite on hen, but I don't use hen, so I may be misremembering.
