webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

Hey! Happy new year!
I am still being plagued by ftp issues.

in webman default ftp timeout says 0 and you said that it represents default 20 seconds.
If i try to change that 0 number to anything else i cannot connect to ps3 any more at all.
and if i leave it by default i cant leave ps3 alone because ftp connection drops constantly and i cant finish copying files.

In first case only solution is to reboot entire ps3 to get it working again. But that is short lived and drops quickly later again.

P.S
i dont know whats the problem any more.
I was on rebug before. And i had no trouble leaving ftp transfer overnight. But now i am on evilnat and its either that or webman update being very evil toward me :(

Try disabling the FTP server in webMAN MOD. Reboot.
Then use FTP server in multiMAN or IRISMAN to check if you still have issues.
If it still happens, then the issue could be some network setting in CFW.
If it doesn't happen, then it's some wrong setting in webMAN's FTP server. You could try installing an older version.

Here a few articles related to FTP solutions (maybe some of them could help):

Ok, thanks. After testing multiman i came to conclusion that something in webman is causing problems for me.
Immediate difference that i have noticed is this
Code:
Status: Sending keep-alive command
And ftp connection is alive all the time. Its not dropping or closing from server side.
So far i didnt notice any issues with small files copy either.
Its bit annoying to use multiman ftp , because i have to start it to activate ftp, webman is more convenient
I will try with older version of webman. Since i definitely did not use multiman fot ftp before

Hi!
My installation of Webman MOD does not recognize the installed games through the package manager (PS Network content).
Under the main menu option "games" all show up.
The directories are created; the games and all other packages are installed in /dev_hdd0/game.
I cannot change this directory in either webman or package manager.

Here the ftp dir. tree :

webMAN MOD was created originally to mount only ISO and GAMES folders.

I later added the ability to list NPDRM games in webMAN Games folder menus.
It only list games that start with NP (e.g. NPUA12345, NPEB45678, etc.) and contain an EBOOT.BIN (most homebrews are excluded)

To enable this option go to /setup.ps3 and check the option /dev_hdd0/game under the section "Scan for content". then save the settings and re-scan the content using Refresh XML or press SELECT+L3 then reload XMB.

Note: /app_home/PS3_GAME or ★ PlayStation icon must be present on Game column to start the NPDRM games.

I tried FIFA 19 without webMAN_MOD_1.47.36 The game has become normal
I'm on an internal hard drive,Configuration in webMAN I just install it.

I have that feeling too in fifa 19 even in the gameplay with 1.47.35 and later versions

I can't tell if it's really heavy or just an impression though hhh

You're on 1.47.38. However some features may not work properly due you didn't replace the dependency files.

I recommend that use webMAN Setup > Update webMAN MOD > Install. It replaces all the files that you need.

Could wMM not detect & remedy that state of affair on load up ie updated binary but old dependencies?

Yes, but it would require extra code to check that every file is the latest. It is solved easily if the user updates with the tools provided, instead of replace the files manually with mixed versions.

webMAN_MOD_latest.pkg ensures that all the dependencies are the correct versions.

I will investigate if some of the other changes affected that feature. I haven't touch that directly in the recent builds.

Anyone can help me.
how to use remap function on boot_init.txt file?
I've tried like this

Code:
map /dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_remap/category_game.xml=/dev_flash/vsh/resource/explore/xml

it doesn't work even after xmb reload

It looks like you have the paths inverted. The path after "map" is the current path, and the path after "=" is the new path.

I've tried it. the result is that the file is not mapped.

Code:
map /dev_flash/vsh/resource/explore/xml/category_network.xml=/dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_remap/category_network.xml
map /dev_flash/vsh/resource/explore/xml/category_user.xml=/dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_remap/category_user.xml
map /dev_hdd0/another/hen/hen_xmb.xml=/dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_remap/hen_xmb.xml

Did i write it wrong?
