Is there any benefit for installing Mamba.pkg on Rebug CFW 4.86 with Cobra on?
I dont now why i use should Cobra Toogle off
Cobra and Mamba do the same things, for the majority of users, there's no specific advantage in using Mamba over Cobra (and vice versa), it's more a question of tastes, Mamba is a standalone solution loaded on demand whereas Cobra is integrated in the customised firmware itself. Generally Mamba is used with standard CEX CFWs (non Cobra CFWs), unfortunately nobody bothers releasing standard CEX CFWs anymore (which imho is a real shame).
Mamba and Cobra aren't meant to be loaded at the same time given the features redundancy therefore you should disable Cobra (stage2 not loaded) before enabling Mamba.

Thank you for this helpful Information.
Would you please explain the Usage of boot_fake_ofw.pkg too?
It's an experimental package that Aldo created to use in conjunction with stripped down CFW capabilities such as disabled custom syscalls.
Iirc there is a dedicated thread on that topic.
You should not need to use such things unless you have very specific needs.

Evilnat added to Cobra 8.3 most of these new features that I included in Mamba. So the advantages are mainly over Rebug with Cobra 8.2. Compared with 8.3 there is not much difference except that Mamba can be loaded on boot or later boot from a loader like IRISMAN or Mamba loader.

Cobra and Mamba are equivalent payloads. You should toggle Cobra to use one or the other.

That payload is used to simulate OFW on CFW.

It's intended for people that mainly use original discs, play movies or use PSN games and don't require any CFW features or don't want to disable CFW syscalls every time.

That payload starts with CFW syscalls disabled and you later can enable them.
Opposite to the other payloads that start with CFW syscalls enabled and the user have to disable them to login into PSN.

Does FPS Counter plugin support VshFpsCounter.yaml? If so where can I find it or place that file to edit it?
I have noticed that enabling it and while using it and exiting back to XMB, CPU percentage goes to 0 and then PS3 freezes with overheating warning. FPS and temperature reading stops reading and then that error shows and freezes. Is this known issue? When you added it, I encountered this issue then I updated Webman Mod today and same thing happened when I was in XMB.

wMM includes FPS counter 2.6. It supports the yaml config. It is found in /dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_res

Please use the online updater to make sure that you're using the latest build.

The FPS plugin is maintained by its author.
If you have issues, you should report it in https://github.com/TheRouletteBoi/RouLetteVshMenu/tree/standalone-fps-counter-v2

Thank you, Aldostools. So that was the location. I searched around and couldn't find it.

Recently in Webman Setup, PrepISO and Load Slaunch Menu are listed about PS3 Webman [Setup]. Is this an intended change or is Webman setup supposed to be at the top like before?

When you enter to webMAN Setup, the option "PS3 webMAN [Setup]" appears selected by default as usual.
prepISO and sLaunch Menu now appears above for easier access (just 1 or 2 clicks).
Before these 2 commonly used options were in the bottom where it was too difficult to access them.

About the latest update of webman mod (1.47.41) i installed the full version of it in my PS3, first of all, I can't install it over an old ver of webman mod, it always freeze in a black screen after launching the installer.

So i deleted webman mod and then tried to install the new latest update and everything is fine, but the BIG PROBLEM comes out, I can't launch any homebrew or any game (pkg or JB Folder) after i installed webman mod 1.47.41 in my PS3, i panicked bcs i was on DEX so if my BD is broken then i can't switch to CEX using Rebug Toolbox so i can install Evilnat NoBD (at least that's what i know), i tried Rebuilding database and repairing file system, didn't change anything, i deleted webman mod and problem solved and i can use any homebrew or game without any problems.

also after this, i changed my ps3 back to CEX (Evilnat 4.88.2 Cobra 8.3).

And i have the same problem, now I deleted webman mod and everything is working fine but i don't know what to do. Should i install an older ver of webman mod?

My PS3 is slim.

Is this bcs the new webman mod update itself or i have something wrong in my ps3 like something in my settings?

I suggest that re-download the installer again. I re-compiled the project and uploaded the pkg few minutes ago, just in case the last pkg was corrupted.

I re-installed the version currently online and I didn't get any black screen.

If that doesn't fix the issue, try installing an older version and check if it that fixes the bug.

There is a similar issue opened in https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/issues/712

EDIT: A moment ago I uploaded a new build with a sanity check to a feature recently added that could be related with your issue.

EDIT2: A new commit have been uploaded with the fix to the array overflow that caused the issue.

Hello @aldostools ...

I don't know how to use the Artemis which is installed by your webMAN-mod (current version). I know that it needs a configuration file (cheats) which must be named in a specific way but also installed in a particular directory.
Can you help me please ?

If anyone can and wants to make a vsh plugin to read, edit and execute /dev_hdd0/tmp/art.txt that would be great. Maybe someday.

First you need to go to /setup.ps3 and put a check mark in Artemis and save the webMAN settings.

There are various way to use it:
1- Download the latest Artemis 6.3.1, configure it to use webMAN for Artemis patch engine, select the game and the cheats. Artemis will create /dev_hdd0/tmp/art.txt with the selected patches. Mount your game with webMAN and launch the game. webMAN will start the engine automatically and you will see a popup message in-game saying that Artemis started.
  • Press PS button in-game and press START to apply the cheats/attach the game process.
  • Press PS button again to continue the game.
  • Press PS button in-game and press SELECT to pause/detach the engine.
  • Exit the game to stop the engine.
2- Another method is pre-configure your cheat and save it next to the ISO with the same name + .ncl
webMAN will copy that file to /dev_hdd0/tmp/art.txt and start the engine when you launch the game.
  • The cheats can be stored also in the same folder of NP games as artemis.ncl
  • Or in /dev_hdd0/tmp/artermis/<titleid>.ncl
3- A third method is editing the cheat file interactively from a PC or tablet using http://ip-of-ps3/artemis.ps3
webMAN will show an editor where you can attach/detach Artemis and see a log file with the patches applied.

Copy & paste the cheats to the editor from the database https://ps3.aldostools.org/codelist.html

4- An advanced method involves using PS3MAPI to apply the patches using /getmem.ps3mapi

good evening everyone from italy

i just want to report a bug/freeze with webman full 1.47.41 & irisman 4.88 both installed .

Refreshing XML&Games (L3+select) with a external hdd (in nfts) connected, i have a display freezing. (prepiso 1.30 also installed on ps3).

I tried a lot of attempts to understand the problem... checking file system, rebuilding database... nothing... i changed external hdd... nothing... i uninstalled and reinstalled multiman, webman, prepiso... nothing... freezing continued to happen...

at the end (my last attempt) i noted without irisman there was no freezing... So i try to install an Irisman old version... and i solved reinstalling irisman 4.86.3. No problem happened and everything works fine now....

Maybe Irisman 4.88 can really cause this issue? What do you think??? any ideas???

ps3 model is slim 2504B hfw 4.88 cex hen 3.0.3

(sorry for bad english)

@aldostools Is it possible (at all) to auto enable external data on boot? Either in the boot_init.txt or the autoexec.bat :confused3:
As I've tried with the following commands (in both files), but neither of them worked:

Code:
http://localhost/extgd.ps3?enable

Code:
http://localhost/extgd.ps3

Though if I check it in the browser (on my laptop, with the PS3's ip address) it shows: extgd: OK
though its clearly not as it installs everything on the internal HDD.:apologetic::apologetic:

Edit: I know that it can be enabled with the SELECT + SQUARE, but still...

Try /extgd.ps3?enable or map /dev_hdd0/game=/dev_usb000/GAMEI to /dev_hdd0/autoexec.bat

The scripts execute the web commands without the prefix http://localhost

Thanks @aldostools ,

the /extgd.ps3?enable did not make any difference, but the map /dev_hdd0/game=/dev_usb00x/GAMEI did work fine:cheerful:

Does it matter (i mean as in function wise) if I map the GAMEI folder through the /extgd.ps3?enable or through the map command? Will this mapping last until restarting the console or just till exiting a game back to xmb?
Should I make a mirror now of all the content in the original game folder into the mapped GAMEI if I want to have access to them? (ex. Retroarch, Multiman, Ultimate toolbox etc.) or will these still read from the original game folder (/dev_hdd0/game)?

Edit: I've noticed that executing now the /extgd.ps3?status command will give me 'Disabled' as status, even though the mapping is still alive.:confused3:
