Hello, I want to report what happens, if on my ps3 is vsh menu loaded or the SenEnable plugin loaded and GOD of War ill, DESTINY, during the game I am taken to the screen as shown in the following images, happened in habib 4.78 and happens in rebug 4.80 CEX and DEX. PsnPatch plugin with no problems. Adding more information, happens randomly, possibility of 40%. Happens with games that require more of the ps3, games in iso format in NTFS drive.

I used to have a similar issue, which I fixed restoring the file system and rebuilding the database. I'm not saying that it is your case, but you could try that solution.

Also scan (chkdsk) and defragment your NTFS drive.

Hello @aldostools

I have try this update, but i get a error when i will go to options and all other options.
The error is a blank side with
The page can not be displayed. (8071053d)

I try to uninstall the webman mod before i install this new, but the old files
come back hole time.

I are on STARBUCKS_481_101 CFW

According to psdevwiki the error 0x8071053d is CELL_HTTP_ERROR_NET_CONNECT_ECONNREFUSED.

That page suggests the following:
Hard boot the PS3, turn off the PS3 to stand-by, flip off the back switch and completely remove the power cord. Shut off your modem/router, for approx. 5 minutes, then turn the modem back up first and let it sync. Then turn the router back on (if you're using one) and let it sync. Reconnect your power cable and flip the back switch up again. Then make a new network connection

Also check that the plugin is really running... check if SELECT+START shows the popup info.

Use http : //localhost/delete.ps3?uninstall to remove the files installed by webMAN, then you can install the previous version.

@aldostools
I found the error.
I have Rebug cfw before so i have chance the string in boot_plugins.txt to the webftp_server.sprx file.

But how can i do so the admin is ON hole time. Right now i have to hold L2+R2+Triangle everytime the PS3 is restart

hey guys ...if i remember...wasn't there a way to do a batch pkg install with webman via a button combo?

hah nevermind...i remember after i posted this...need to do FULL install and then it will show up :)

Go to /setup.ps3, uncheck ADMIN/USER MODE, click Save button, then restart.

After that, your system will be in Admin mode all the time... Remember that USER mode is safer.

I have try that, but is not work.
It works fine on my end...
I suggest you try to get "User Mode" to work. In Admin mode your console can easily be reached from the Internet, your ids could be stolen, your PSN account hacked..
Admin mode doesn't remove the threat completely but at least it provides enough protection from jokers...
I find it strange in a way that that we are not plagued with that kind of stuff already...

Does it happen when the plugins are not loaded?
Does it also happen when you mount the games with another backup manager?

Does anybody use webMAN with Minimum memory setting?

View attachment 7507

I noticed that ever since 1.45.02, Plugin Memory usage at Minimum causes random freezing, mostly while scrolling game lists on XMB up and down. The solution was to set the usage to Standard.

I have about 149 Games total including 5 of them hosted by netserv

Can anyone confirm this?
.
I have had some weird behaviour when playing with the memory usage setting as well on 1.45.02 but I recall no freezes.
Also I had an issue with the memory usage not actually doing what I set it to do but I never investigated...
I have about 100 games atm & I find the standard setting to work great however.

I have no idea why I keep getting freezing issues. here's what I did

1. Did FSM while on 3.55, installed Rogero 3.55 3.7A
2. Formatted HDD via system restoration
3. Updated to REX 4.80.1
4. Enabled COBRA/webMAN, replaced the webMAN sprx only which produces the bug with webMAN category not being displayed properly [written in the release note since 1.45.xx]
5. scanned games via prepNTFS 1.17
6. Scrolling up/down game lists from webMAN category
7. Immediately froze
8. force rebooted, updated wMM 1.45.04 [FULL] edition, which fixed the issue with webMAN category
9. Scanned the game via prepNTFS 1.17 again
10. Scrolling up/down game lists from webMAN category

Firstly I thought I made a mistake on either COBRA or the FW itself [4.81.1] but now I can reproduce the bug anytime I want with both 4.80.1 and 4.81.1 [CEX/DEX]

The current work around is 1.45.01 which works in any condition

I wonder if this is NAND specific bug, or wMM has an issue with certain games.

because @DeViL303 and @aldostools both have SLIM models and the issue doesn't seem to occur at least on 4.80.1

the only thing I noticed is that the freezing usually takes place while wMM is accessing cached files (ICON/PNG and SFO)

Tested on CECHE01, does anybody have the same issue like mine?

@Joonie
So you are having freeze problems even before changing memory settings...
Do you always install an older version before updating manually?
If you do, you might want to try deleting the wmconfig file before rebooting with the replaced sprx..

I have never had this issue myself on 4.80.1 & I have not yet read a single report of it either... However if you can reproduce it, I suppose I should try your steps...
It's a xmb freeze right? The ftp server for instance is still working in the background?

I deleted wmtmp and wmconfigs countless times, and I did it everytime I replace/update wMM builds

vsh panics and xmb completely freezes, no background ftp whatsoever.

@aldostools @DeViL303

ok....... I finally found the reason (95% convinced)

My system doesn't have webMAN LaunchPAD setup... and have tested various flags inside wMM source. and it turns out
Code:
#define LAUNCHPAD 1 // create /dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_lauchpad.xml

This caused the freezing after all. I wonder because I don't have webMAN LaunchPAD setup.

I haven't tested further, but so far. LAUNCHPAD does freeze my PS3 on REBUG 4.80.1

I think now it's time to move back to 4.81.1 and finish DEX part.

This only happens with the plugins SenEnable or VSH menu loaded. If I unload the plugins, all ok. If this happens with another Manager, I don't know, because for a long time I just use webman to assemble my games, I use the backup managers to manage files. This problem happens with psnpatch plugin. I've changed my internal hd, already did system restore files and rebuild the database and it didn't work. I realized the problem with habib cobra 4.78

You could also check "LaunchPad.xml" in webpage setup of webMAN. This option is at the right side of "Disable Content Scan on startup".

I haven't launchpad too, and this option is unchecked without freezes on ferrox cobra 4.81 for me. But the file " wm_launchpad.xml" is present in /dev_hdd0/tmp/, so this could be the reason why you have some freezes if this file couldn't be found on your system.

Thanks for replying, however that doesn't seem to be the case, I haven't seen any activity of that file being accessed, and disabling content scan on startup & launchpad didn't help.

I took a quick peep of the wMM src, looks like launchpad stuff were written in setup.h, games_xml.h and games_html.h

@aldostools I wonder if this helps you analyze the issue I have.

I also tested HABIB 4.81 CEX and PS3iTA 4.75 DEX +MAMBA 7.3,

Both didn't freeze but REX 4.80.1. firstly I thought it was because of DEX modules being used, but then PS3iTA didn't freeze at all.

I wonder if this is NAND&REX specific or simple xml issue caused by REBUG'ed XML..

@Joonie
I don't use the launchpad either, never have.

I just reinstalled Rebug 4.80.1 on both slims (a 210x & a 250x), followed the standard steps you described to try to reproduce the issue like you did.
I get not freezes. Except the model, what could be different?

I think the issue with multiple USB ports on backward compatible models / REBUG'ed rco/xml. I will try to reproduce the issue on habib 4.81 later
