Welcome Back !!! (New Xenforo Software Change)

Lol the big switch was just xenforoXD should have contacted me for help. Would have set this entire thing up in a day, no offense but we have been using it the whole time elite-electronics.org has been around. Cant really imagine what could have kept you guys down for 2+ weeks. Hope the big change is everything you guys want it to be.

Well not quite a simple install of the forum software. There was an established site and content we had to convert and then after make sure old links work (as links then change) the old site was a mix of VB and Grimm own custom CMS.. Those were time consuming parts. Also we had a skin we bought for xenforo, but there is nothing unique about a bought skin :) . So we mod those colors and different aspects also. Then a few days of considering new software and then learning a bit about the new software to see what is best for your needs, back and forth decision making. Which CMS add-ons and then what addons we want to buy. .. All takes time especially when you really only have a few hours a day with work and other life events.

We thought it would be a few days max as well, but life and just different circumstances delayed. Also we wanted things to be a bit polished before we opened. (still have some work there yet, mostly just some color edits. which are simple but annoying to track at times). Also can;t a guy just get a couple days away from the scene :) .. I think we deserved that as well... :)

I completely understand:) Our site just doesn't have as much content:P Or users, so i can see how that could have taken awhile. Good to see you guys back^_^ Communication between two or three people seems tedious at times, cant imagine anymore people being involvedXD But Xenforo was a good decision:) Very secure, and LOTS of plugin and other cool stuff.

Looks gorgeous guys, I'm very appreciative for all your hard work. You don't realize how important something in your life can be until it's gone. Here's to many more years at psx place, way to go guys!

I love the look too. it says a lot about the admins' protection/care of their users that they'd abandon the previous site type due to a hack in order to protect its users. ...but it figures, I only knew about vb, so I can't help here unless I read a lot. :p

We are still tweaking some areas of the layout. Also expermenting a few things here and there.

Also some old threads need some adjusting to major adjustments (usually table related). Those will be attended to as well.

It is somewhat a relief to have this place up & running again. I was getting worried...
Transitions like this can be tricky to perform & you guys have done very well in relatively little time.
Very nice results anyway!
Many thanks to the team. [emoji16]
