Thanks again for feedback. Yes there is one more issue I forgot to mention, this is not compatible with Multiman Singstar at the moment as Singstar also uses the xil2 files, Actually the whole reason I thought of this mod was when singstar icon appeared on my XMB, and it got me thinking..

No it doesn't show up for me once I install XMBPD, but I think it could be added back to game category using the same method you used for the TV Category? I just havnt looked. I was going add the pkg to the $ony downloads section eventually incase anyone wants to install it.

if his multiMAN/SingStar app is showing up where it is for him so will SingStar in the same place, I had the same issue with Spotify when I tried to add it to Music category it showed up also on your Homebrew Downloads category after install

ok, people might have to choose between this and singstar multiman, whats the story with singstar multiman anyway? is it just a priority mod?

Was meant to replace the permanent Sing star icon that plagued many of consoles & I guess it could also be priority

As Rebug 4.78.2 is officially out now, Ive made a new XMBPD pkg using the new files, so this release of XMBPD includes Joonies fix for XMBM+ (The last release didn't), so XMBM+ will now show up on both Debug and Retail XMB's, and all icons are working properly on ingame XMB thanks to Joonie.

XMBPD v0.16.03

For anyone who has this installed already they can just download the latest XMBPD package from within the XMBPD , Run it and select option 1 again.

Just to explain these few things in a bit better detail:

Backup Managers => nothing appear = The reason the Backup Managers category was empty for you was just because it hadn't synced fully yet, when its syncing it takes a while for all the categories to show items. You might even need to wait 5/10 minutes (especially if you are starting with no xil2 files after clearing cache or deleting files in xil2 folder). Also it doesn't sync when you are in an app or game so you need to be on XMB if you want it to sync fully.

Categary Games: MultiMAN Singstar NPEA00374 not showing (goes in XMBPD)/Tools/Misc... => Showing MultiMAN Singstar NPEA00374 = This is normal when using XMBPD, This will not be compatible with Multiman Singstar, If the only reason you are using Multiman Singstar is to get rid of the Singstar icon, then XMBPD will do the same thing, then there is no problem using normal Multiman alongside XMBPD.

Official Sony download => Homebrews list alphabetic (inversed)
= At the moment the way its set up, all the categories are reading the homebrew items from the same list, and for some reason which I havnt looked into, 2 of those categories read stuff from bottom to top, Once they are all reading from separate lists everything will be alphabetically sorted in each category from A - Z as its just a matter of rearranging the list to suit.

bitsbubba I have a work around for the Spotify problem, What Ive done Is made 2 Spotify pkgs, one that installs to the Game category, and one that installs to the PSN category. Ive included these 2 packages in XMBPD for easy install.

This is just as a work around for now for Spotify users. You can use either of these packages to install (or move) Spotify to PSN or Game Categories.

Ive also updated the list of packages to show version numbers, These are all remote updates so all you need to do is clear cache on "Whats New" to see them :)

The link in "About" that shows the package versions will be changed to a HTML page soon to show content ID, upload date, Size etc. Might even have it keep track of amount of downloads.

Report on XMBPD_v0.16.03
Backup Managers => Homebrews list alphabetic
Emulators and Games => Homebrews list alphabetic (same as Backup Managers)
Tools/Misc... => Homebrews list alphabetic (inversed) + MultiMAN Singstar NPEA00374
Official Sony download => Homebrews list alphabetic (inversed)

For multiMAN Singstar, reasons are:
Don't know if really stealth but thinking is better to don't have Non official TitleID on XMB
Replace Singstar icon and permit to stay permanently just under disc
I'm happy to have my own version, could change value and add some options when possible (I made some addons)

Honesly I use your mod as beta tester, but will not use in futur permanently or will just to test new features, because I got my own XMB mod
But I'm really interesting in your work, because I think it's a major advance to permit download on HDD

Im not sure if using singstar content ID to run multman would add much stealth but maybe it would. I suppose it is handy as a priority mod.

Thanks for all the testing, Im sure this could be integrated into your own mod quite easily if you wanted to. The only reason all of the category xmls were modded in XMBPD is to remove 1 query to stop the downloads showing up there, after that you can use my 2 network.xmls ,the sprx and put the XMB_package_downloader.xml in xmb folder on dev_flash.

So if you wanted you or anyone could mod all of your own category xmls and remove the queries that mention "src="xil://localhost" (search for it) , then you can use my 4 files (network xmls and XMBPD xml and sprx), just letting you know incase you or anyone else wants to try integrate it into an existing XMB mod, its not that hard. you would need to relink the icons too due to the rcos, but that wouldn't be too big a deal (or can use the rcos from XMBPD if you havnt modded your icons).

EDIT: Someday I might try make up a lite version that changes as little as possible, and fetches icons from pngs instead of rcos.

Remote update (No version change): Icons added for All downloads, and Latest Webman Mod Updater also included. "Clear Cache" on "Whats New" and then reboot to see them (Might take a few minutes to sync).

Oh yeah, and I updated the list to 40 pkgs (Not counting the 2 Spotify pkgs which are still included).

Not sure if ill do this always for all downloads once the list gets big as it was a PITA to do, had to resize every icon, then add transparent borders, then upload, then add links. :banghead:

* I know some of these pkgs are obsolete now on the LATEST Rebug but Im keeping them in there for now as I still hope to make this compatible with more FW's.

I didn't do full backgrounds as I tried them and they made text hard to read, and made it slow to sync due to them having to download. So Ive done backgrounds that are big logos for each app off to the right hand side. The way ive done it now all backgrounds and icons are less than 3MB so its not much to sync.

I don't know if you are using photoshop for exemple but 3MB is too much heavy for PNG 1920x1080 there is an option "enregistrer pour le web" like "save for web" I think is possible to be near 1MB (not shoure have to test it)
If you don't have photoshop send me pictures I will try tomorrow to make them lighter. I think it's possible

Thanks, but I mean its now already at 3MB for ALL 40 icons and backgrounds (inc all xmls). Im trying to keep this as light as possible for quick syncing.

Next job is adding developer credits for each homebrew.

Remote Update: Ive now changed the way each homebrews version number is displayed to tidy the list up, you don't see it now unless you wait on the item for a few seconds, and Ive added credits to the developers of all the homebrew packages, sorry it took so long ,if I made a mistake with the credits let me know please as it can be hard to know who made what exactly with all the mods and variations, so if you think you should be in there and your not (or vice versa) let me know.
