PS3 4.76.1 REBUG LITE w/ COBRA v7.1

A new CFW release comes from Team REBUG as they officially release 4.76 REBUG LITE that comes equipped with Cobra v7.1 features. This release differs from many rebug releases as it will not contain any DEX features and will not have access to some REBUG features, but with Cobra v7.1 you get many great CEX based features so if you are not looking at all those features but want a reliable CFW then this latest REBUG CFW could be that fit. View all the[break]ss[/break] details provided and also be sure to read all the documentation over at rebug.me

So I guess I have a PATA, fan is full blast if I don't power off using webmans shutdown button. I believe I'm free tomorrow so I can run some tests for you and hopefully this will get sorted out.

Guess I will build some custom ones with mixed with rebug stuff in habib cfw or the other way around. Thanks for your support and it would be nice if you could specify your cfw currently using.

I am currently on habib cobra 4.75 v4. And I don't have a flasher, is that gonna be a problem?

No all my pups are tested before going out to testers. Not a problem :) i only brick myself if needed lol

Btw, you said "since 4.70" does that mean rebug 4.65.2 worked fine?

Alright if everything will run fine I'll be glad to help. As for my statement saying since 4.70. I take that back. It was on another system that ran nicely with 4.65 rebug. I got it replaced I forgot.

Hmm ok, there is one thing you could do to save our time..

If you could test REBUG 4.65.2 w/ Cobra and without, that will save time a lot.. Thanks again :)

I'd like to get some thoughts from you guys, I know you guys have had HL at least once or currently still have one.

i have 2 different cechl04 eur models, and both run same and fine. i am running several hdds on them and there never have been any problem with lags or whatsoever.
even i run 4.21, i don't think it is a matter of firmware version.

i can only think of a dying hdd or wrong settings in xmb and i can only tell about dex setup though, cause cex i never use. tbh, i never have experienced any slowdowns or sth like that and i know, that for example system software mode with retail xmb will run out of ram very fast and many things do not work. you should never use this mode with retail xmb. other than that, i dunno

is the hdd capacity nearly end? that can also affect speed access on hdd. maybe erasing system cache in debug settings could help?

or maybe there is problem with network? but this should only affect debug stage2 from what i know

Ok, do both have SATA drive? Thanks for your report.

'04 eur models all should have sata ports afaik? wasn't it you who told me this? i remember something about cechl01 only have pata

I don't think I ever told you that. Even Korea has PATA model. I noticed the issue with fan controller on HL05/HL01. I don't know
kozarovv also had HL04 once I think?

i see. i cannot tell myself about the sata pata thing.

ahh, if you are talking about this fancontrol issue on regular shutdown, that also affects mine, but this does have no impact on gaming or performance.
i think this is an issue of syscon

Puffdragon just told me that non-rebug doesn't seem to have this problem.. it makes me wonder if this is caused by lv1 or appldr..

ok, that is absolutely new to me. though, i am only running rebug. i want to install a cex 4.46 cobra next time to test some other things and then i will take definately a look at this.
Joonie
i can confirm now it is not a rebug problem with fancontrol and regular shutdown, so i guess my assumption about syscon problem is more realistic

For now i have only cechc, haxxxen to determine which drive you have you need to check daughterboard model.

BDM-021 mean PATA drive. BDM-031 is SATA. BDM-021 is a wierd board used only in early CECHL (working also on M,P,Q) is only one PATA to SATA daughterboard that using 24pin connector to motherboard. Changes to firmware are probably done between 2.30 - 2.45. I suppose that bdm-031 support was added in 2.45 as minimal downgrade fw for M,P,Q is 2.45 but for L models is (early models) 2.30, and (later models) 2.45

I think this is also way (minver check) to determine which drive you have, but is not confirmed. I just suppose that, also there you can probably find changes that was done in fw for that models.

Yep is possible, ver-001 using two different syscons SW-301 and SW-302 . Both seen in CECHL, probably 301 lack bdm-031 support.

pata, sata, data, lol. just confusing and i have no clues about this hardware stuff nor i am interested about ps3 hardware. so i have a pata thing getting it from devwiki? my minimal is 2.45 on both and on my old two broken it was the same

2.45 is probably ( ifbmy theory is correct) sata.

Or 302 is lack support for bdm-021

Seams this issue is only on VER-001 boards (CECHL04, CECHM04, CECHP04). And do not depend of the firmware. I have not this issue on DIA-00X boards (CECHH, J, K)

I see, but I still have no clue about epicboy's weird issue with performance drop on rebug only... He said habib cfw fixes his issue..
