    UPDATE v1.01 & v1.01+

After considering the reports of some users, alexander updated version 1.01. Console on some fact was not syncing the controller to 'start, if you turn on the console via the Wireless Controller in the same mode. In fact, using the cable, or turning on with POWER button, the problem would not show up. Well, the problem was solved. This problem had previously seen on some firmware. The problem was in the TAR. On the advice of Developer Habib, and Evilnat collaboration, here we give the revision 1.01+

    CHANGELOG v1.01 +
    • Fixed the Controller to sync Boot via the Wireless Controller for PS button.
    • Fixed XMB InGame.

We thank the users and developer who helped Test. If you aiutassimo more often at each other in the PS3 scene, between Developer and Tester, it would be a different story. Special thanks to Atreyu and Kozárov by PSX-Place site, for testing on older FAT Console. A big thank you also to our @mizio90 for the 'Installer. It must be said that the new version of the CFW was ready already for a while, but I did make late because of the 'Installer
Thanks Habib and Evilnat for your cooperation to fixed the Controller's question.

  • This version does NOT have the Mod Graphics you saw in FERROX 4.80. However it will be added later, releasing a separate version, or a simple package.

No there is no Toggle. No special settings or changes to make.
Just an app called prepNTFS which scans the contents of ntfs drives & creates shortcuts to games it finds in the /dev_hdd0/tmp/wmtmp folder. Those shortcuts are then recognised by webMAN-MOD which will add them in its games list.
Those shortcuts will remain in the folder so you don't need to use prepNTFS again unless you add or remove games on the ntfs drive.

You should note that Irisman, Managunz or mmCM will not need prepNTFS which is only for webMAN-MOD. Those backup managers can already list & mount games based on ntfs.
Thanks for the info i much appreciate it & could you tell me how would i toggle webman on/off?

Toggle? In Rebug you mean?
Yes prepNTFS is only for webMAN-MOD so you need to enable it to use the shortcuts made by prepNTFS.
Other backup managers supporting ntfs like Irisman do not need prepNTFS.

Also no, the pkg on your hard drive would not show in package manager because package manager does not scan ntfs & prepNTFS does not help with that atm.
Scanning the 3 possible folders PKG, packages & Packages for pkg files is already coded in prepNTFS but for now, no further processing is done as far as I know..

oh damn im glad you told me this cause thats good information, so if i install prepNTFS i would have to go into my file manager into 1 of the package folders & my .pkg from my external harddrive will be there? Also where in webman do i toggle prepNTFS on/off? And i know that you can toggle webman off/on with Rebug toolbox, but if im on Ferrox Cobra how would i be able to? is there a way or do i just have to delete the app altogether if i want it disabled? Another thing i did not know irisman supported NTFS thanks for that info. Does multiman support NTFS too? i see an option on the far left of multiman's menu that says "Scan for NTFS", but it never picks up on my .pkg file thats NTFS formatted haha

Nearly all these questions have been answered already. Have you read thoroughly & understood post #155, #157, etc...? [emoji6]

For the pkg files on ntfs, I suggest you use Irisman file manager & click the file. It will copy it temporarily on internal drive & create a bubble on xmb for installation. It's the best way to do this imo. I told you that prepNTFS was ready for pkg handling but did not process them for now.

For the 3rd time, there is no Toggle as prepNTFS works independently! If you launch prepNTFS, the files will be added to the webMAN-MOD game list. That's all.
If you want to delete the added shortcuts for ntfs files from the wMM games list, go to the wMM setup page & use the "Delete wmtmp" folder link besides the home profile combo box or use a file manager or ftp to delete all the contents of the /dev_hdd0/tmp/wmtmp folder.

Multiman file manager supports some ntfs disks for browsing files but it's limited to very few hdd models & it most likely won't work.
However multiman supports ntfs based games fine on all ntfs hdd, it will list those games & mount them without problems.
Same thing for Managunz, no ntfs file browsing support but ntfs games are supported perfectly.

This will work just fine.
In fact I will edit my previous post because it should be
Code:
GET /browser.ps3$ingame_screenshot
with a forward slash.

OK so I have []+R2 taking XMB screen shots but X+[] isn't doing in game. When I go back via FTP both files are blank. No biggie seems it does have the in-game screenshot built into the CFW that should do the trick but a quick couple questions.

1- Why do they return as 0kb files after rebooting?

2- Where the hell are the XMB screenshots once it says captured? And where are they using built in in-game screenshot feature?

3- Why is the wmcustom combo file blank as well? I have fixed permissions as well as made read only.

4- Should I just use the video rec apex instead? Never use this but it may prove useful just so no one has any questions.

The XMB screenshots are at the root of /dev_hdd0.
I just tried it with the custom combo & GET /browser.ps3$screenshot_xmb as a command,
which iirc is a parameter equivalent to browser.ps3$screenshot and it works fine. You can try this notation instead.
Btw you can see the thumbnails of the screenshots if you open XMBM+ File manager on /dev_hdd0.

Which wmcustom combo file are you talking about? If it's the one located in the wmtmp folder, it's an old version. Now all custom combos are in the wm_combo folder.

videorec.ps3 will not help for screenshots. Also we have been testing for problems with it for a few hours now. Stopping the video recording seems to crash the XMB on every attempt.

Stepped away for a few but pretty sure it's

R2+[] = XMB Screen shot

R2+cross = In-game screen shot

Or vice-versa

If you use the wm_combo folder to create the customisations then of course those files cannot be empty...

Before testing the combos, have you first tried using the web commands from a phone or pc browser just to make sure the commands work.
If they do, then we can focus on the combo customisations....

Sorry i know you told me about prepNTFS, but i was asking how to disable/enable webman altogether on non-Rebug cfw's not prepNTFS since you already told me. And as far as prepNTFS just so we're clear on the steps to go about using it..
1st. install it
2nd. Once installed i go webman settings to enable it
3rd. i insert NTFS harddrive in PS3 & the .pkg file will be detected in the webman games
4th. mount the .pkg to Install it from webman games?

is all of that correct? i dont know if i understood correctly

On non Rebug, there is no webMAN-MOD toggle! You install webMAN-MOD & it works. The day you want to disable it, all you need to do is edit a file called /dev_hdd0/boot_plugins.txt & remove the line containing the path to the webMAN-MOD plugin file then save the file & reboot.
boot_plugins.txt is the file containing the path of the plugins that Cobra should load at boot. The webMAN-MOD updater pkg adds a line to this file on installation so on reboot webMAN-MOD loads automatically.
If you want to uninstall webMAN-MOD, all you need to do is use the web command from the ps3 browser hxxp://localhost/delete.ps3?uninstall.

When webMAN-MOD is installed you don't enable prepNTFS, I already said 4 times there is no toggler of any kind. prepNTFS 1.16 is a pkg you can download from the same page as webMAN-MOD 1.45.02. github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/releases/tag/1.45.02.
Install the pkg, plug in the ntfs drive in the ps3 with iso games in the PS3ISO folder (caps letters), launch prepNTFS from the XMB & the ntfs games should appear in the webMAN-MOD games list on xmb. Mount one to test then launch it...

Come on man, I also explained twice already that pkg will not work with prepNTFS.
You don't mount pkg anyway, they are not iso games, they must be installed via the package manager or as a xmb bubble.
If you use a ntfs drive to store a pkg, click on it with the Irisman File manager, it will create a bubble on xmb.
Otherwise copy the pkg on a fat32 USB key & use the package manager to install it.

Onya pinky. Hope things take a positive turn for you. :)

Back on topic I've been getting a lot of this on ferrox 1.01+ / webmanmod 1.45.02 (+20) / psnpatch. CECHL PAL system.

Just tried rebuilding database etc. But no luck.

First time I just loaded an ISO, scrolled across the XMB and she blacked out.

Next time I'd just quit retroarch after playing a NES game and got it again.

Pressing the PS button will reboot fine. Will try a reflash later and see if it clears up.

That actually happened to me last night using Overflow's CFW trying to play Thief (actually, it was trying to install trophies) in it's first run. and also when i booted up Dark Souls.

I had mmCM and it dissapeared (i had it installed it on the previous cfw rebug 4.80). I've tried to re-install it with no luck whatsoever (multiman displays an error message: "the program cannot be installed, please re-install the program" or something like that, i can't remember properly.

Im downloading Ferrox cobra to see if the error persists. This is the 1st time this error happens to me. Im using a CECH-2501A.

Edit: now that i remember, i've got the same error (just like yours @self_slaughter) when i tried to use Artemis with Castlevania and DmC on Rebug 4.80 :( :(

Problem has since come good for me after just pressing start + select to let it reload the same cfw on that screen. (Cobra 1.01+)

I think flashing via recovery is just a bit hit and miss depending on your setup. Reflashing a second time through xmb, or that error screen seems to sort it out.

I'll try that aswell (im redownloading all my stuff such as rebug 4.80 cfw and ferrox cfw, lost my 500gb backup drive :@)

I've read in other posts that rebug is quite a pain in the ass when installing from recovery.

Yeah rebug cex won't flash at all from recovery. Pretty sure Dex is ok if you've already converted though.

rebug has a recovery install patch implemented. they've either changed the directory or pup name for the patch. I think it's the latter. @Joonie will know what it's been named to. it's to prevent accidental installs of ofw. however, that may only be for bd. u'd need to change the update pup name to match what it's been changed to to install cex.

Thats alot of work for an app, but i guess it will have to be if i want to be on the safer side when playing online so i appreciate you for showing me the ropes to it. 1 more question if you dont mind is when i remove the line to disable webman will i be able to re add the line back to re enable it? And what exactly does the line say? Do you have the exact text?

Of course you can add the line again.
The line should be the path of the webMAN-MOD plugin called webftp_server.sprx. Usually the plugin is located on /dev_hdd0 at the root besides to boot_plugins.txt file.

It's not such a lot of work really. 15 mn?

if u want a lot of work, try installing a9lh on a 3ds with a system's otp. not required anymore on the new 3ds, but there r brick risks doing it otpless. I've heard the 2ds is fine as well. the old 3ds still requires it. it took me 6 hours to go through the entire process apiece for each of my 2 3ds systems. flashing the NAND multiple times and backing it up takes the most time.

Well its alot of work compared to what i had to do on Rebug which made it much easier. Im a noob so all these codes & files you have to find are so brand new to me, but on a further note ive updated to Ferrox Cobra 4.81 & everything you've said was spot on. Although i noticed instantly as soon as i updated my ps3 fan got louder while on Rebug it was as quiet as a mouse. Can you please tell me why this is happening and how to reduce the noise back to the way it was?!

Edit: Sorry as soon as i installed webMAN 1.45 Full Edition this started happening to my fan. Can you please tell me how to reduce this noise? I wont turn on my ps3 again until i know
