    UPDATE v1.01 & v1.01+

After considering the reports of some users, alexander updated version 1.01. Console on some fact was not syncing the controller to 'start, if you turn on the console via the Wireless Controller in the same mode. In fact, using the cable, or turning on with POWER button, the problem would not show up. Well, the problem was solved. This problem had previously seen on some firmware. The problem was in the TAR. On the advice of Developer Habib, and Evilnat collaboration, here we give the revision 1.01+

    CHANGELOG v1.01 +
    • Fixed the Controller to sync Boot via the Wireless Controller for PS button.
    • Fixed XMB InGame.

We thank the users and developer who helped Test. If you aiutassimo more often at each other in the PS3 scene, between Developer and Tester, it would be a different story. Special thanks to Atreyu and Kozárov by PSX-Place site, for testing on older FAT Console. A big thank you also to our @mizio90 for the 'Installer. It must be said that the new version of the CFW was ready already for a while, but I did make late because of the 'Installer
Thanks Habib and Evilnat for your cooperation to fixed the Controller's question.

  • This version does NOT have the Mod Graphics you saw in FERROX 4.80. However it will be added later, releasing a separate version, or a simple package.

So far so good on cobra 1.01+ :)

Just need to work out how to enable PAL output again since I somehow forced NTSC using rebugs debug menu (fake region setting, I think), but now PAL F.E.A.R won't work on a PAL console, lol.

Might just downgrade again and try fix it up before upgrading again.

I thought the XMB was unusually smooth, didn't realise I'd blocked PAL completely and was locked at 60Hz. Normally swaps between 560i and 480i depending what region game I'm playing.

I never felt the love for sen enabler as it didn't support cobra (no offense to the developer) I just stuck with psnpatch & with the plugin to disable syscalls, etc. That sealed the deal for me :)
Sorry but you are mistaken. SEN Enabler supports Cobra!
The plugin uses Cobra (or Mamba) for loading.
SEN even offers a Fix Cobra Hash feature that cannot be found in any other brew AFAIK.
In terms of cfw preparation for PSN, the SEN plugin does essentially the same thing as psnpatch.
IMO the only difference comes from the app's numerous features, psnpatch is more simple in comparison which is why I recommend it to noobs.

If you modified the region settings with Rebug DEX menu, the easiest way to fix the issue is to downgrade back to Rebug 4.80.1 (from system update on xmb not from recovery) to change it back to whatever you need. Choose the appropriate region & toggle fake region off.

Yeah that did the trick. Switched from NA region to Oceania in debug settings and it Auto swaps between PAL / NTSC video output as needed again.

Was semi reluctant to swap cfw after ferrox 1.01 blitzed my hdd trying to update. That backup restore process is brutally slow on a full 1tb drive. :)

FERROX COBRA 1.01 Released :) Click HERE

@Alexander as well. Like this mod but anyway to make either

A - One or a few but one also red in color where the blue is. Really messes up the "flow" of my all red and black with white accents. Even a all black and what Ferrox logo would be cool.

B - Anyway to remove just that part? I want to keep it as I like the "tag" but OCD drives me insane. But some like it as close to OFW as possible.

Again not my style but know a few not using it die to this logo being seen as an eye sore or an ego thing. IMO I proudly display my Lexus logo on the car I drive, why not the firmware I use? I did the same with Rebug coldboot and gameboot.

I even used the XMB mod for 4.65 to add a same style logo for Rebug. Could never port it above 4.65 like the rest of my mods. So always been found of this type of logo on the XMB

C- Release a guide/tool that tells us or shows us how to change the color ourselves. I would love to port it when a new FW cones out or finally figure out how to implemented porting to newer firmwares or maybe finally figuring a way to port that logo from extreme's 4.65 Rebug XMB logo.

Anyway just some wants or suggestions for this sweet mod. Would even go great in the customization section I love the Cyber-Modding category on the XMB. Either way love the add one especially the colors for the in game options. And since my custom "theme" or solid red black with white stripes the red looks amazing with my fonts.

if u mean what I think u do, the clock mod is done by editing system_plugin.rco. busy_icon is the clock face, busy_short is the hour hand, and busy_long is the minute hand. u need to replace the busy_icon with another, then change the x, y values to get it to the place u wish on the xmb. I've never done it, but I know how it's done. @eXtreme , found the clock icons after I told him about changing the color of the digital portion. I couldn't find the clock icons 'til he told me. they're in two totally separate rco files. that's y the image flutters whenever u install a pkg or do just about anything.

@atreyu187 they are mods made by modifying some rco files. Mizio90 has made these mods, he can tell you better than me. BTW there is a nice guide here at Psx-Place, i don't remember where and from who.. The title of the guide maybe is Pinky's Tutorials..? There you can find guides also to make these kind of mods :)

I often wonder what all these "emoji"s are, maybe a secret form of smileys! Im going to start my own [smiley263]
Lol yeah it's funny as I can't see some of the smiley you guys post from PC so I'm constantly opening the browser (on my phone) to see them

You're better off using PSNpatch for cobra. I've been using this for a few years & all is good.
Thanx for the advice But I have changed cfw flavor (for now) and well PSNpatch does work great in most cases but I also run mod menu and PSNpatch disables this so THANK YOU FOR ADVICE and THANK YOU 2 ALL THE DEVELOPERS WHO MAKE ALL THIS POSSIBLE

@Alexander how does one use in game screen shot in this CFW? Isn't it just pull up the XMB via PS Button and it's in photo correct? I need a few for guides I am doing and they look much better then crappy cell pics.

What don't you use a webMAN-MOD combo to take your screenshots? R2+O
Or use the web command from your pc, phone or whatever device's browser on your lan:

I looked in webMAN settings I must have missed that. Also do you have the link for the commands that is available for the custom combo again? My Google-Fu searching sucks today as I know I made a topic about this before if I recall.
