    Savegames conversion tutorial

    WARNING: This option will overwrite your current savedata in dev_usbXXX, use it with caution

    • Download someone else's savegame for your game of your choice
    • Put the savedata in your pendrive in "X:\PS3\SAVEDATA" (pendrive must be in FAT32)
    • Put in the pendrive in the PS3
    • Select Network Tab > [★ Custom Firmware Tools] > PSN Tools > Convert Savedata
    • Wait until the conversion finishes
    • Once finished, copy your converted savedata throught XMB "Saved Data Utility (PS3)"
    • Launch your game and load your new savedata

    Creation of act.dat tutorial

    WARNING: The accountID is linked to savedata and trophies, so, if your current user already have a valid accountID and you overwrite it, you will be unable to use your trophies and savedata on that account until you restore the original accountID in xRegistry.sys.

    I recommend to use an empty account without trophies and savedata or an account without accountID.

    To create a fake act.dat, Cobra 8.3 must be enabled, and your PS3 must have at least one account with a valid accountID and launch a game that requires a RIF/RAP license file.

    Cobra will search a valid accountID in all existing accounts and create act.dat while the game is launched through the XMB. If no accountID is found, act.dat will not be created.

    You can create a fake accountID (like reactPSN), to do this go to Network > ★ Custom Firmware Tools > PSN Tools and choose between "Create accountID" or "Overwrite accountID" (Be careful about the last option because if you already have a fake/real accountID it will be overwritten). It is recommended to use these options in an account that does not have an ID. The PS3 will restart if everything went well.

    The tutorial would be the following:
    • Download your purchased PSN game from PS Store
    • Put game RAP file in "X:\exdata" or "/dev_hdd0/exdata"
    • Launch your purchased PSN game
    • Cobra will check if any of your PS3 accounts have accountID
    • Faked act.dat will be created while the game is launching

    If none of your accounts have a valid accountID you will need to create it. To do this log into the local PS3 account where you want to create the accountID. You can see if your current local account has an accountID choosing Network Tab > [★ Custom Firmware Tools] > PSN Tools > Show accountID.

    To create a faked act.dat do the following:
    • Make sure Cobra 8.3 is enabled
    • Select Network Tab > [★ Custom Firmware Tools] > PSN Tools > Create accountID
    • Select Network Tab > [★ Custom Firmware Tools] > PSN Tools > Activate account
    • Launch your purchased PSN game
    • Faked act.dat will be created while the game is launching

    Now you have a faked act.dat and your local account is activated. The act.dat file works for every local account, you only need one file for all accounts.

    Block PSN log in

    This method is developed by @DeViL303, it will only work with Cobra enabled, Cobra will block log in on PSN/SEN while the CFW syscalls are enabled, to enable it again you need to disable CFW syscalls completely (you can do it with webMAN MOD, psnpatch, SEN Enabler, etc…).

    If you want to disable this feature, simply delete /dev_flash/vsh/resource/npsignin_plugin.lck

Hi,

i mounted it with multiman nur got only a black Screen, 2 beep and Red Light flashing.
I will try it with webman, may it works.

So you know where i can start at Debüt or Something Like that?

Br
am not sure try checking if the md5 matches with the one on redump.org as far as i know this only happened to me with bad rip ,bad transfer or wrong configuration.
also i don't understand "Debüt"?

Thanks, but this also not helped.
I create a new ISO with ImgBurn, copy it via FTP to PS3 and mount it with multiman.
When i try to start Game the PS3 turn off, beep 3 times and the power led is flashing.

Anyone know what that means or whetre can i find infos about that?

Thanks & BR

From your earlier post, you are trying to get NFS: Underground 2 working on a CECH-K04 fat model, correct? You can look it up on the PS2 Classics emulator (ps2_netemu) compatibility list. The PAL version apparently is playable, whereas the US and Japanese NTSC versions have major issues.

Nevertheless, have you tried mounting the ISO with another backup manager, e.g. webMAN MOD or ManaGunZ? ISO is your only option; the game disc will not work in a CECH-Kxx model as it is not a BC or semi-BC model PS3.

@Evilnat
will you share your testing tools and modified cobra source? I am really interested and sorry I cannot do valuable tests, since have the same model cechl (and now a real decr :D) like you

Sure, i will release it once i've finished it and it's bug-free, but I can send it to you as I have it right now. I'm thinking what i can add it too, if someone have any idea I would be grateful, whenever it is important to add.

These are not really important as they can be added optionally by whoever wants them, but you could consider adding my extended download plugin mod.

Or maybe my advanced power options mod if you wanted.

Or maybe the imagefont.bin upgrade: https://www.psx-place.com/threads/imagefont-bin-tool-for-ps3-and-vita.25150/page-10#post-229516

@Evilnat is it possible there is some patch missing from 4.87.2 related to downloading pkgs or checking pkgs.

On Rebug I can use a link like this to download and install any pkg I want via xmbml:
Code:
<View id="homebrew_game_003_item">
<Attributes>
<Table key="homebrew_game_link003">
<Pair key="info"><String>net_package_install</String></Pair>
<Pair key="pkg_src"><String>http://devil303.com/packages/games/BreakOutX_v0.2.pkg</String></Pair>
<Pair key="pkg_src_qa"><String>http://devil303.com/packages/games/BreakOutX_v0.2.pkg</String></Pair>
<Pair key="content_name"><String>pkg_install_pc</String></Pair>
<Pair key="content_id"><String>UP0001-JBEB55555_00-0000111122223333</String></Pair>
<Pair key="prod_pict_path"><String>/dev_hdd0/game/XMBMANPLS/USRDIR/TOOLBOX/icon/homebrew_game_icons/BreakOutX_v0.2.PNG</String></Pair>

</Attributes>
<Items>
<Item class="type:x-xmb/xmlnpsignup" key="homebrew_game_link003" attr="homebrew_game_link003"/>
</Items>
</View>

But on this CFW I am getting an error 80029567 unless I download an untouched retail pkg? I think @Joonie mentioned before there is some patch related to pkg signing checks that can overcome this.

Yeah, that patch was needed to allow both debug and retail pkgs. I use that patch for both CEX and DEX.

Cheers, Can you explain a little more where this patch is exactly so I can test it as its causing me some issues here.

Or maybe can I just take a file from Rebug 4.86.1.

EDIT: ok i just took download_plugin.sprx from 4.86.1 and its fine now. thanks.

Hi guys, installation went smoothly 4.87.2 noBD, Webman, Multiman SENEnabler all working as they should. One strange thing I noticed - Irisman was gone, after I installed it, ran it, and loaded a game through it. I didn't reinstall but that bugged me.

The problem I currently have is I am being unable to load any PS1, PS2, or PSP game, Multiman just restarts into XBM, Webman kinda loads but nothing is loaded in the end. Am I missing something?

PS3 games work as they should even though when the game is loaded in XBM it still says "app_home/PS3 game" and it takes about 2 seconds after I highlight it to show the cover and proper name which I don't remember experiencing earlier

Without BD Driver, does not support ISO games, including PS2, PS1, PSP, ROM games.

Even if you use CFW noBD, you still need a BD Driver for mounting the ISO.

Ok, so if I understand correctly, it is possible to use iso files on noBD edition if the BD is inside and connected to the ps3, no matter it's not working?

EDIT: Connected the BD, ps2 iso and psx iso working like a charm, psp not working still.

Should I worry that for a moment green turns to yellow while loading the ps1, ps2 game?

Try launching games via "app_home" with the latest webMAN MOD released by @aldostools

He added a new feature to mount ISO games to app_home, if you see game disc icon you should be able to load it if not then what @Louis Garry said earlier is still relevant.

How do I do that? It's interesting, if I install cfw with no bd it installs perfectly - it gives black screen on everything except webman, noBD edition loads ps2 and psx games if the drive is connected.

Just some info for others with similar problems

Well PS2 won't load, not sure about PSX, app_home only works for PS3 games.

if you have "app_home" on XMB you can try loading ISO file via webMAN MOD then try launching it from there.

thanks. i have another question.
can i extract Gta v bles .rar directly in ps3?
