[ANSWERED] How should i hack my PS3 with Ps3Xploit v2.0 (w/ Flash Writer) or PS3xploit HAN (3.0) ?

Also redthetrainer.com is a good website to use for exploit too. that's what i used. If you look for mrmario2011 and skullator on youtube they have great video tutorials. I prefer to watch video tutorials, find it easier to grasp.
 
Dummy question... Can I grab any REBUG 4.82 CFW to install on my CECH-2004B or I need a specific version?
 
Trying to install CFW and i get it hit with data is corrupted(8002F957).Followed instructions and im at a loss.Gets to 77% and stops.

So many guides out I'm not sure what instructions you followed.
When you made the dump after running the exploit and checked it with the dump checker did it show that I was patched?
Have you tried a different flash drive? Have you tried a different cfw?

Hi guys, my process keeps freezing when i get to the patch NOR flash memory step.
I followed the steps to the letter until I got to that point, and it just froze. It says it may take a few minutes, but its been more than a few. The green "working" light is still flashing but it's not progressing at all, as far as I can tell.
I checked the SKU model number and the minversion to make sure I was compatible. I don't want to reboot the console as it's still trying because the warning explicitly warns against that. Any help would be great.Thanks

Save the exploit page you're on as homepage and clear cookies etc, then exit browser and go back into it as exploit (homepage) then try exploit again

Afaik a freeze with the Flash Writer 2.0 can only occur if the gadgets are wrong ie if vsh was swapped for instance. There are no random freezes.

Have you installed OFW 4.82 twice before using the Flash Memory Writer 2.0 as instructed? If not, reinstall the firmware & try the exploit again. Use the hdd version to ensure that usb is not interfering.
 
Hi I'm new here and am stuck with the ps3xploit 2.0 I've followed the tutorial and managed to dump and flash okay, I'm now stuck on the part of which cfw to download? I downloaded a 4.82.2 rebug one and it got to 75% and said data corrupted. I'm on official firmware 4.82 at the moment. Am I suppose to have 3.55 or something was just confused as it says it can be installed on ofw 4.82
? Or is there another firmware I can use thanks
 
Have you validated a Flash memory dump using pyps3checker before rebooting to install cfw?
Did it validate OK showing one of the ros regions as ps3xploit 4.82?
Did you actually reboot before attempting to install the cfw?

If you answered yes to all 3 questions then it seems that you didn't follow our instructions correctly. You omitted to install ofw 4.82 twice before starting the Flash memory patching procedure.

In this case, you now have 2 possible options.
1. Reinstall ofw 4.82 then redo the whole ps3xploit Flash Writer process.
2. Remove the internal hdd from the ps3. Plug it into PC & wipe the first few sectors with 00s. Reinsert the hdd, boot & start the cfw pup installation following on screen instructions.

Hi it still says I'm on ofw 4.82 so I've restarted the whole process, by first running the flash 482 exploit right clicking save target as etc. That went though okay. Do I need to dump next or can I just reboot pc and try installing cfw again
 
@bguerville some success I don't think I flashed the nand memory right before so I done everything from scratch and now it's gone past the data corruption on the cfw and I'm 40% into installing the cfw.
 
Ok, I am at step c) (using the pyps3checker. I got the program from git hub, I downloaded the latest version of Python (3.7.1) I renamed the dump.jpg to dump.hex. I drag it to the batch file and get this in the cmd box:

"System cannot find the path specified"
Do you want to open log file [Y,N]

So, I'm kinda stuck now...
Help please?
 
Nevermind, I found the Python 2.7 download, uninstalled 3.7, installed 2.7, got it working. Number of Dangers and Number of Warnings = 0. So, I guess that's it?

No errors, no warnings & one of the ros regions detected as ps3xploit 4.82?

If so, all is good, you can now reboot & then you will be able to install a 4.82 CFW from the XMB.

You didn't follow our instructions which is why you have a ros1 hash warning during the dump validation. You were supposed to install 4.82 OFW twice before patching the NOR! You can reboot safely but omitting the double 4.82 installation step may cause an error during CFW installation in certain circumstances.
If this happens, you will need to reinstall OFW 4.82 then reapply the jailbreak again by going through the same process you just did all over again before you can install a CFW without error.

And we never produced an undo hex file as we found the idea pointless for 2 reasons.
1. Users who brick their system do so because they don't validate a dump after flashing process & before rebooting. If they reboot without validation, why would they use an undo hex file at this stage? And once the system has closed down, it cannot boot again, an undo hex file can do no good.
2. Users who do the validation step as instructed & realise there are errors because they made a mistake & flashed the wrong file should simply patch the NOR again but with the right hex file this time.

Can I extract the Level 1 and 2 from the Nor Nand Image ?
I have no more Idea.

Is this right ?: lv1_dump and lv2_dump is not in Nor Nand.

to the Nand same Nand (Nor 16MB). with not Restart the System
and make a memdump, And copy the original dump.hex back.
With no Brick ?.

PS3 NORNAND Statistic V1, FlowRebuilder -> Extract Nand, But i find nothing
memdump_0.01-FINAL -> lv1_dump_35500.bin, lv2_dump_35500.bin
multiMAN can import Nand to Nand -> myCEX.EID0.NANDBIN
