Fix for screen corruption (part of the PlayStation 2 logo) displaying on the bottom of the screen.

@spellforce7 You may want this if you are still playing this game.

@olokos I can't do anything to the half-BC PS2 emulator (ps2_gxemu) as the configs are embedded into the emulator. The game freezes with graphical corruption on netemu, and there is nothing I can really do to help. Sorry. :(

I have to admit I don't quite understand, but if I got this right, you have a non BC PS3 and the non BC PS3 emulator crashes immediately upon starting a game?

Maybe that's because of the same bug as I am experiencing?

Could you give me some pointers how should I try to make my own patches?
I tried with managunz, but for some reason whether I select all patches or no patches it makes no difference ingame, I can't quite figure this one out, it seems like they aren't applied or something.

Yes, you are right.

I don't think so. The game will never pass this screen on netemu, and it is also graphically corrupted. It seems like from what you are saying that it sometimes works on your half-BC PS3, but that is never the case of netemu.

Well, ManaGunz will have absolutely no effect on gxemu since its config structure is different and also embedded into the emulator. ManaGunz is directed at netemu configs.

Mark Davis Pro Bass Challenge (SLUS-20646) [NET]

MX vs ATV Untamed (SLUS-21701) [NET]
Code:
3D 00 00 00 E5 43 00 00 0A 00 00 00 02 00 00 00

00 90 4E 48 FF D9 DB 4B 00 00 00 00 53 4C 55 53
2D 32 31 37 30 31
These are the rest of the NET configs from the available PS2 Classics in the US. The rest of the games are delisted and their configs (if any) may never be recovered.

Any games that have some graphical glitching/flickering during FMVs at the bottom of screen can be fixed by this method. Phantasy Star Universe could potentially be fixed with this as well.
Have you tryed it with beyond good & evil ?, in the compatibility list is mentioned "PS2 logo keeps flicking"

I looked into it before PSU, but the issue is a bit different. It seems like the problem is similar but the flickering is with the entire display, so this type of fix won't work. It definitely seems to be something going wrong with GS DISPLAY registers. It would need more research.

Justice League Heroes (SLUS-21304)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 01 00 00 00 20 55 17 00
13 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 6C 58 17 00 15 00 00 00
23 00 00 00 4A 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
E0 7E 14 00 27 26 62 28 27 16 62 28
Fixes the rest of the texture flickering. The game does switch between the 30 and 60 fps modes causing the screen flickering. This config does change the condition the game is checking before switching back to the 60 fps interlaced mode, favouring the 30 fps one.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness (SLUS-20467)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 1F 00 00 00 E8 03 00 00
0A 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 E0 90 1D 00 FF 29 C5 4B
00 90 48 48 E4 90 1D 00 00 90 48 48 FF 29 C5 4B
0C 52 20 00 C8 82 08 0C 01 00 02 24
This config should fix the crash on the first loading screen when the German, Italian, French or Spanish language is selected on the PS3. The game does retrieve the language from the BIOS and the NTSC version does not have the localised versions of movies on the disc. Because of that the game runs out of the IOP memory during the loading and it crashes. The config does force the English version to be enabled all the time.

All the dubbing and texts are in the game, it is just the movies are not present. There is a way to force the different languages with English movies. I wonder how it does work on the PS2, as I would like to reproduce its behaviour in the config.

This game does blend two output circuits and it looks like the second buffer is not filled correctly with the data. But it is not the biggest issue with this title. The game is affected by the cycle stealing and it does miss the vsync which causes the display flickering and flashing. At least that is how I understand it.

Wouldn't ignoring the second buffer cause the flickering to stop, or forcing the second buffer to display the first? This would be at the cost of display quality of course.

The cycle stealing in netemu seems to be dynamic depending on the game and what it is doing. This is why some games are affected heavily and some are not, and also why PCSX2 cycle skipping results are different depending on the game (some games on netemu act like cycle skipping is maxed out, some act like it is moderate, etc.). 0x21 helps with it by doing *something* to the EE emulation to maybe free up resources and reduce the overall cycle skipping, although still dynamic.

EDIT: Here's a basic patch that skips a buffer:
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 0A 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
24 73 12 00 1A 00 60 14 1A 00 00 10
Helps heavily, but still bad flashing most of the time. The other buffer is the one showing the PS2 logo.

Hi @mrjaredbeta , could you plase make a config file for The Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction to fix the purple textures? I'd make it myself but since I dont know anything about programing and I have a hard time understanding coding english because Im not english nor american...

I saw one guy in this same threat that posted this:

#emu used=jakx v2

--gs-kernel-cl="mipmap"
--gs-kernel-cl-up="mipmap2x2"
--gs-use-mipmap=1

Emu used=Jak X v2

which is the code to fix the problem, and I guess the emulator he used? But again, I dont know how to implement it inside a config file or even make one myself.

I would really appreciate it if you could do that for me and upload the config file so that I could donwload it.

Thanks in advance :)

Full fix for FMV/in-game cutscene stutter and slowdown issues starting from the Senate House area. Game plays flawlessly now. :)

@tt_ivi_99 Mipmapping is not implemented on netemu and there's no way to fix that game right now. I tried looking at that game a week or two ago and could not find a solution.

Oh ok, well thanks anyway for taking the time to respond :)

Since Growlanser VI (SLPM66716) got a fanmade English patch and the story translation is already 100% finished ( https://growlanser6english.blogspot.com/ ), I'm requesting the black/white vertical lines config fix affecting some characters avatar/portrait, if possible. This problem affects all Growlanser titles except Growlanser V, which already got fixed. Thanks in advance.

thank you @mrjaredbeta it makes more sense to me now.

so are all of those PS2CONFIGS designed for netemu, not gsxemu?

If so, how can I launch the iso using netemu instead of GSXemu using webman mod?

I just mount the iso using webmanmod and then press x on mounted disc.
This does lauch gsxemu by default if I'm not mistaken?

System), and i don't even know where to start with this one, welp gonna start from the beginning then (sorry for the wall of text).
Today i tried to play english patched FF XII and game was going great until i realised i fucked up some stuff in the first encounter with enemies where you can use your steal command, then i decided to restart the game from scratch cause i wasn't even out of the first major city at this point.
So i restarted the game and pressed a new game from the menu, there is a little tutorial in the start of the game and in the end of it there is your first save point. When i clicked it my console just shut off instantly, then i waited like 10 secs for power to go back into my PS3 (there was no active led indicators like there was no power or something like that).
After that i booted up FF again and tried to save from the same spot and my console didn't shut off, so i got a little further into the game and there was a second save point available. And you can guess what happened next, console shut down again like there was some power outage but it happens only when you try to save.
I tried several times and sometimes my PS3 shuts off on the first save or in the second one and i don't understand why.
Maybe you could try to look into it when you can? Thanks in advance.

Wow somehow i managed to F%$# up my formatting, and i can't edit my post for some reason. Im having a problem with a Final Fantasy XII International Zodiac Job System (english patched 0.23 version). Sorry for doubleposting (im kinda dumb).
