PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

@Rafaelrios I'm back at my PS3 again for the weekend and managed to get Gitaroo Man ingame and working. Training level works well with minimal flickering of characters. However, freezes in a similar way as before but after skipping training level. I will post a working config when I fix this next freeze.

Here's a couple pics:

Idk...Gitaroo Man is being a pain right now. I am not sure if it is fixable.

Lots of psuedorandom freezes in first stage after training, and had to do some hacky stuff to get there in the first place. There is also very bad graphical glitching that is happening. I *think* the ingame freezes has something to do with HUD stuff? Cause disabling the HUD rendering will completely fix all graphical glitches...but obviously you cannot play like this since you cannot see the stuff you're trying to play.

Anyways, here is what can get you to boot into the game/training level/first stage:
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 0A 00 00 00 02 00 00 00
28 4E 23 00 72 00 43 50 72 00 00 10 A0 98 20 00
09 F8 20 03 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

First code glitches the opening start menu to let you get to main menu (logo is horizontal instead of vertical). You can do the training level or skip it, leading to a black screen. This is intentional as screen would normally freeze here. I disabled the rendering with the second code, so just press right on d-pad and X to go to the first stage or just X to retry training. The 1st stage is where the major graphical glitches are...and the main problem in general now.

This is just POC config for now. It's not much, but it gets ingame at least. I'll work on this game more after I take a look at Musashi Samurai Legend stair glitch and I also still need to try and fix SSX eventually. So much stuff to do...

@Rafaelrios GT3 config fixes FMV slowdown.

3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 1B 00 00 00 21 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Command 0x1B fixes black screen after PS2 logo (first non-Gust game??), 0x21 greatly improves FMV slowdown. Unfortunately, there are slight slowdown/audio hiccups, but it is not too bad with config. I doubt it can be improved any more than this...60fps FMVs seem difficult for netemu to handle.

EDIT: Heavily dependent on what is in the FMV. If lots of data/movement, then there will be some slowdown. If not too much is going on, full speed. :)

EDIT again: Nevermind, framerate goes down significantly when "ingame" with FMV and recorder overlay. Pretty unplayable. :(

the issue is also present on the oficial classic.
i had the oficial classic, sony don't bother to fix those minor issues
I don't know where you got this information about Grandia II or if your memory isn't right, but all of the flickering and shadow SPS issues are fixed in the Japanese PS2 Classic:

before mrjaredbta, who was the person that used to fix the ps2 games on ps3?
Go back to earlier in this thread. You will be able to see the "history" of netemu research by many people. They all did some awesome research about configs, decoding them, importing gx_emu configs, and so much more.

yeah,bbut that is the japanese version,pal version work flawless as well;

From wiki:

Official PS2 Classic. Issues with shadows overlaying in enemies and mc. They are not present in the PAL version.

ssx 3 ntcs-u works with config auto loaded by webman, played for a little bit without any problem.

no infinity loading,whatsoever.

I'm not 100% sure about that, but can you test Hot Wheels: World Race and/or Wallace Gromit: Project Zoo with 1B ?
