PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Fix: "flickering problems in some cuircuits or parts of cuicuits, generaly zone with dense buildings, etc."
Side effect: The side effect the fps tends to slowdown game a bit (but nothing to worry about)


Actually even cobra use different patch for DATA1 CD (link), so maybe is related somehow.. Or maybe not :p

I created a public folder on google drive and added these 4 new config file (TreasurePlanet, RumbleRacing,GranTourismo3 and Gran Tourismo4) to this folder.

Currently we have 83 config so far.
I will update this folder in the future when someone make a new config file for us :)
 
Thanks for the response, would have the link, so I take a look? I sincerely still have not seen advantage, in abandoning my beloved ps2, and playing ps2 through ps3, I have ps2 with the OPL Loader and SMB network, it is undoubtedly a great tranquility. A hug.

looks like they're hard coded which I figured as much. the redirect syscall, syscall 35, doesn't work in this instance. I think that's the syscall responsible for game data tool which doesn't have this problem.

I been wondering time ago about how many versions of the ps2_netemu.self exists inside PS3 firmwares
The only people i imagine that could even try to make "the complete collection" of the ps2_netemu are the ones that has been researching and reversing it, but this is like archeology because there are a lot of firmwares, see here http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/System_Firmware
And is needed to decrypt all the ps2_netemu.self files (with scetool to .elf format) before comparing them
Because it seems are encrypted every time a firmware is released, even if the .elf is the same version than the previous firmware
This results in a different ps2_netemu.self for every firmware (but after decrypted to .elf could be the same)

After decrypted you can open it in a hexeditor and see the version, this is ps2_netemu.elf (decrypted) from firmware 4.81:

I been making some wiki tests to reduce and simplify that table the most as posible, im not sure how accurate it was the info in that table, i dont have the files, but the result is this:

So... from there i can see there are 13 versions of it
So the question is, there is someone that tryed to make "the complete collection" that could verify this version info is accurate and completed ?
 
Are you using compatible firmware? Your game is SLES-53539? Booting using ManaGunZ or by mounting ISO in other app?

I never tried.

My older firmware researches are oriented only to ps2_emu ps2_gxemu, because $ony fixed some issues that are currently affecting netemu here. Vide Yakuza chapter 3 freeze that was fixed in firmware 2.30 for ps2_emu and/or ps2_gxemu. They did something to fix it.

the code seems to be custom, i have it scripted.

Hi. You can delete game video by using ustil and it will work.

Probably game is not compatible.

ye can do bin diff on 2.20/2.30 or if you see some different hashes/sums there i can get the title id for it.

Im using the PAL version but I think I have a save before the freeze. I need to check it.
Due to randomness of that freeze this gonna be hard :( I though that I have good config as I get past the eftf screen 3 times in a row.. But nope, 4th time it freeze.

Edit: Hmm I think I got it. But I need to do many more tests to be sure. Sadly time to work for me.

What you mean "due to randomness"? For me the Yakuza 1 game always freeze:
- at the funeral scene in chapter 3 (when Kazuma try to jump out the window)
- in the chapter 7 (before fight with the mysterious gang at stardust)
 
For me it freeze 50% of time at chapter 3. But sometime it just allow me to play after that jump from window. Didn't tested chapter 7.

I post config and some "playing pattern" that seems to help little bit when i back home from work.
