PS3 [Exclusive] PSNpatch v2015.7/A has now been released by KW

PlayStation 3 Homebrew developer KW has informed us that he has released the latest version of PSNpatch released exclusively for PSX-Place user's and a reminder that this is KW's Official Support forum here at PSX-Place.com . PSNpatch has seen some changes with this update such as a new version numbering system, since a several updates ago the developer has made the application/plugin firmware independent [break]ss[/break], meaning a firmware update does not break compatibility as we seen when PSNpatch did not need an update for 4.75 CFW (so to save some confusion the new numbering system was adopted). Also in the update there has been added support for plugin Management for MAMBA plus various other changes and a fix that you can see in the latest changelog provided by the developer:

  • Installs RAPs and EDATs.
  • Unlocks PSN (c00) game demos.
  • Unlocks ps2classics launcher.

  • Fixed a bug in which PSNPatch may crash with with an empty bootplugins.txt file;

  • Confirmed support for 4.75 CFW - just a confirmation: no changes were made in the source code - psnpatch being full cfw independent

Sorry if this was mentioned before but webman still runs after running psnpatch. Wouldn't this be a huge problem?

Meaning the button combos still work...

When psnpatch disables cfw, mounting games will be disabled.

Other backup managers functions may still run depending on each configuration.
This is out of the scope of this thread, but In the case of webman, you can activate an option to unload it from memory by using the same combo as psnpatch.
For additional information, I suggest going into webman dedicated thread.

yea I used to have it where syscalls were disabled but webMAN was still active (I have since reverted back)

PSNPatch

I'd like to know whats the difference between using x or square in psnpatch, i know x disable cfw besides spoofing idps and psid (like square does), but does it make harder to get banned or something? I'm runnig Rebug 4.65.2 D-REX, spoofed 4.75 by Sen Enabler 5.8.3. Plz help!

Yes, but if you also want to run plugin then you need install Mamba Autoloader. But if you want use only app then you can right now.

psnpatch has a firmware independent plugin loader for non-cobra systems available in psnpatch toolbox ;)

(mamba will only be needed if you want to use webman to load ISOS)

From the first post of this topic:

And as detailed in the documentation,

Thanks... sorry for the noob question!

I used PsnPatch today and worked like other times... i'm on ferrox 4.76 so i can say that is working for this cfw!

So it's better that i though ;)

Yeah. You just need a new firmware version to be released, and use psnpatch toolbox to install the plugin handler - no cobra and no mamba is needed :) (of course there will be no ISO or PS2 support).

Please bring back version spoofing. We don't want to be forced by Sony to update the firmware all the time!

Thank you for your message.
You request is most welcome.
Unfortunately, the currently existing version spoofing processes/approaches available in the scene are all very dangerous.
Dangerous in a way that they are easily detected by the means of simple syscalls.

Version spoofing will only be back to PSNPatch when and if the following 2 points are met:
1. Not so easily detectable;
2. Version should be automatically spoofable according to the PSN requisits.

Any word on possibly adding support for pads 1-7 so we can use with the PS3 Media Remote please? Worked great with the new PS3Lock v0.9
