@tthousand ,I told a friend about the gamer card. he opted for amazon instead. of the above amiibos, all arrived damaged aside from the kirby one. to anyone, do not use amazon for amiibos. he said he wished he had taken my/ur advice. :) I've had many amiibos arrive damaged from amazon before I went with best buy. all amiibos from best buy = perfect condition.

I do not know why people think it's a good idea to ship amiibo in envelopes. Give the track record of how packages get handled, they should know better. I know I bought a Rosalina off of eBay and the person sent it in an envelope instead of a box and it got damaged.

BestBuy has always shipped them in nice sturdy boxes.

Plus, BestBuy is 20% off all games, while it seems the Prime think just picks and choses which games it will give you 20% off of.

I've yet to receive a damaged amiibo from best buy. I've had multiple amiibos get damaged through amazon. one time, they actually folded the top portion of the amiibo packaging forward just to cram it into a smaller box.

I know I'm missing the skylanders dk and bowser. I don't know about the main set though. it's the animal crossing ones that r confusing. there r so many of them, and I'm unfamiliar with the characters. btw, there's a way to store amiibo data on a small chip for mere pennies instead of opening ur amiibos. there's a tutorial on how to do it actually. the chip itself is very cheap. I'm not sure how much the data transfer adapter costs though. there r like three of four different chips that look like very small discs, but only one of them is needed. u can differentiate by the number on the chip. they're like thirty cents apiece or so. the tutorial has the chip embedded into an image of the character. u'd probably need something thick instead of using paper itself.

i dont open mine ..
i have an Amiiqo or as its called now n2elite. can hold 200 Tags. as a time..

there are 2 Skylanders DK and bowser light and dark .. Im only missing the Dark since they come with the Dark version of the game and i never bought the game im hoping that they will release the darks soon

there's a device to hold multiple amiibo .bin files? the tutorial I saw was on gbatemp. they embedded the disc into an image of the character. I'm not sure if it could hold more than one character. that's not mentioned from what I remember.

too many amiibos. I hate the ones where u have to buy a game, but @tthousand 's idea of using the gamer card works out well. it's already paid for itself with 20% off of amiibos and games. and, it's only thirty dollars over the span of two years. :)

thanks. I'll check it out. I read that it comes with some amiibo.bin files already installed, but it might be troublesome to find the rest. I'd have to download them, since there's no way I'm opening my amiibo boxes. one question - how do u know which amiibo has been selected? is there a display of some sort. if not, is it confusing to sort through 200 amiibo.bin files to find the right one?

that was the only downside to the Item is there is no real way to tell what one your on.. outside of testing it on an amiibo game.

you just click the button and it switches the amiibo..
since its only powered by the connection in the RIFD they have no displays on it

it would not have been a bad idea to put a watch battery inside and a small display since they can pull the name from the File :p but it works for what its needed for us INBOX collectors

that's a major screw up. with 200 amiibo.bin files, it might take forever to find the one u want. can u go forwards and backwards or just forwards when u press the selector? the first 20 or so r probably the most widely used, so it would suck to cycle through all of them again if u skip over the one u want.

u can always use your phone or PC to tall were you are ..
also you dont have to load 200 on at a time . u can store them on your phone/PC and only load the ones you want to use at that time. its read and write not just write :P

ur able to load them to the device off your phone or PC

where do u find the amiibo.bin files? I know u can find some on the iso site, but I'd rather somehow get all in one swoop.

that might work. we have a policy of non-piracy, but considering I have the amiibos and there's no way to get the images aside from download, unless I open the boxes of course which is the reason for buying such a device, I don't see any issue with it. thanks, @Skiller. u and @tthousand r my bffs with amiibos. :p
