PS3 HAN [OBSOLETE] [Tutorial] The Great PS3Xploit 3.0 HAN All In One Guide

you didn't inject a correct LIC.EDAT
It's backup game . I've converted the game using cfw2ofw and made game pkg + patch + lic . After that i've installed the pkgs and im getting same error . This is the first time i got error like this one .

@Fin9ersMcGee PS2 Classics Placeholder it's not needed for HAN... it only causes confusion ;)

You can remove it from prerequisites in Part 3.B - PS2.
Also you can remove the complete Section B "Preparing PS2 Placeholder" and remove "PS2 Classics Placeholder" from step 7 of Section D.

PS2 Classics Placeholder R3 - Placeholder for PS2 classics isnt needed for ps2 games to run/work
You just need universal rap convertet to rif.installer.pkg and resigned converted pkg for ps2classic

I didnt know this!!! Fantastic as i hate the placeholder in my XMB menu, will update the guide to accomodate

Excellent, I'm just about to settle in and re-write some of my guide to reflect the new releases that came over the weekend.

PS2 Classics GUI v2.1
XMB Waves
Coldboot
RCO injector (not sure anything has come from this yet....)
PKG Linker v2
HAN Toolbox v0.4
Font injector

Am I missing anything else??

Maybe a reference to this thread too in the section 6:
http://www.psx-place.com/threads/emulators-for-han-ps3xploit.16921/

I think i referenced @NiHuShu post somewhere in the Homebrew section.... As I use his prebuilt zip packs for PGen and SNES Station in this guide.

I will cover Font replacer but i am unsure if the others are necessary at this point in time...
I've read that SELF-replacer has no real use at the moment.
SSL certificate injector... Im unsure what use this has for the average noob (my guide is aimed mainly at this demographic)
There's some stuff im reading about xml replacer that could be beneficial.
I havent looked into sprx files and what they do yet...

I'll crack on with what i do know about and will test what i dont know about.

Yes, some of these tools are for advanced users and noobs can semi-brick their consoles :)

BTW One use of SELF-replacer could be to swap emulators (e.g. ps1_emu <-> ps1_netemu). Compatibility could be improved in certain games... webMAN MOD has a feature like that, but the files are swapped in memory (not in /dev_flash).

Also you should consider the steps in this post to create PSX Classics.

And the creation of PSX Classics with CDDA audio too... specially this new tool by @ayassinsayed (I haven't tried it but looks interesting)

I got a .pkg of Silent Hill Downpour and installed it yesterday. The game is Cobra compatible, so I guessed it would work, and it didn't. I signed the package earlier before the install, but to no avail. The game just didn't appear anywhere. Any help would be apreciated.

I've hit my URL link limit for the thread again and rather than nitpick all the URLs out, I've saved a copy to paste the new changes in once the site admins get back to me about an extension of my link privileges

But I did add a HAN Toolbox section that covers the new features it brings.
I think managed to edit out a few parts that were unnecessary before I hit the link limit.

I've written up a new Part outlining some of the new XMB mods available and started work on PKG Linker 2.0 which will replace Part 6.

@Fin9ersMcGee Use my psx tool cdda to inject audio track (aa3) file to eboot file i test it for all psx game i converted and all audio track work perfect .

Is it possible that certain PS2 games just won't work?
yes, it is possible, altho some can be run with depending config, and some wont even run with it cause it depends on working version that is compatitibile, when trying a ps2 game which isnt on list, you need to try all version USA and PAL with configs (if they have so) to be 100% clear that it isnt working

Example, couple of days ago, i wanted to play crash twinsanity on my cech-3004a, on list its unplayable for any ps3 beside BC compatiinle, but i managed to get my hands on config file which ensured better compatibility, while usa 1.0 version was working, freezes could occur here and there, 2.0 version wasnt working at all, but PAL version worked like a charm, only loading save state would freeze a game, and since im an no expert, i cannot create a better config, im happy that after all these years, it even possible to boot it
but here is the deal, usa 1.0 version isnt fully tested with all configs, so i might still get my hope to get fully 100% playable game without freezing

I've looked over the PS2 compatibility list and my game (disk sadly unreadable) should work (according to the list) but after the install i just get the 80028F17 error.
