Nintendo Pinky's Wii-U Tutorials

@Joonie , system config tool is supposed to have an option "import to target device" (I looked at the documentation if u want me to send u a link), but that option isn't available with the latest version. either it's another bug or it was done intentionally. installing apps works which seems odd which leads me to believe that it's another bug. it can read save data, even tell u the profile name that it belongs to, but it won't import. the option is just missing.

thanks. I wasn't aware of that. be careful playing the game early though. that's the main thing Nintendo bans people for on the 3ds.

This is why loadiine comes in handy, Nintendo wouldn't guess why people having too much fun with mii maker all of sudden

I'm having fun just getting the game:

not sure y the game is on their servers or accessible five days early. I'll probably get the US version once it's released. I still have loadiine installed along with a channel on my home menu for it. ;)

@Joonie , do u know if there's a way to use loadiine with games stored on the usb? I'm decrypting the game atm. there's well over 10,000 files which might stunt loadiine using an sd card. I didn't find any cpk files which I know u can decrease loading times by using those files to house more files than they're supposed to. it helped star fox zero and 3d world anyway. ;)

You gotta compile the latest mocha

I just compiled it:

Code:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/4hncjeh2408zsy5/mocha.elf

it's untested though since I'm about to go to bed.

I think this version of mocha.elf is incomplete. I've become obsessed with it! it shows the mocha logo twice on the gamepad, so I decided to look at the mocha.elf file. the image itself is upside down in hex. plus, the latest release of mocha - it was saved as 16 bit, but the latest compiled version was saved as 24-bit, and it's offset slightly. I think 16 bit is correct. I was going to fix it, but that would leave a blank space of about 400-500KBs which would be deleted. whether it would work or not is unknown. as u know, it's easier to add content to an image than it is to delete it. that's what I did with my Mario version of the icontex.qrc on the ps3. :-p

Have you got usb working? I haven't managed to. Plus is loadline the best way with games on wiiu?

I've not tried loadiine usb. the new loadiine can read through stealthed drives apparently though when I tested the above incomplete elf, which can help if u have a drive in fat32 format. u need to decrypt the content first though for the system to read it.

the best way to install games is wup y installer mod. press x to install to usb. u can also use system config tool, but u'll need wup to install that. I prefer system config tool personally since u can backup saves with it as well. however, u can do the same with wup y installer mod and saviine. u need signatures patched though which requires mocha, redNAND, or sign patcher.

@Joonie , the USA ticket is available now. I don't plan to play the game until tomorrow. I'm not going to bother with loadiine. I did decrypt the European game from Nintendo's servers using uWizard a few days ago, but I never played it. it's hilarious to be able to play the backup without cfw though. :-P

I've installed my first game to sysNAND. (Zelda) since the ticket is needed to decrypt game content, I had to install it to sysNAND in order to play it without redNAND. speaking of which, I installed it to redNAND as well. :-P I installed both using system config tool since wup installer can't seem to read the front usb ports which my drive (unpowered) is using.. something odd - system config tool on sysNAND refers to my usb as usb01, but system config tool in redNAND refers to it as usb02. wupclient in redNAND refers to my usb as usb02 as well. it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. the game works in both cfw and redNAND, so it's more a curiosity.

I think I may have figured out the usb name change thing. I need to check with ftpii everywhere though, but my theory is that the first usb that's captured by the system is assigned usb01, next usb02, and so on. the reason I think this is because mocha, which I used to install/use system config tool can read Ustealth'd drives. I'm basing this on compiling the latest version of mocha while the latest actual release was made in December of last year. I think the idea of mocha is to hide the drive from the normal wii u home menu while it's available with mocha if not using coldboot haxchi. anyway, I turned off the wii drive when using mocha which may be y the only drive available, my wii u drive, was assigned usb01. ;)

I've confirmed that the first usb drive that's captured is named usb01. I just checked with redNAND without the wii drive plugged in. :)

the external drive that I have which houses the installable files seems to have several bad sectors, because some files won't copy over. I have to rerip some games due to this. I actually stored my backups on an external drive after installing them on redNAND. now, I'm installing them on sysNAND. I just wish u could install just the tickets. I know the ticket and the common key is used to decrypt the content. the common key and a wud key (different for each game) is how discs r decrypted. I have no idea how the wud key is determined though. if u use uwizard, it will compare the sha-1 of the wud key to determine if it works. it will be decrypted into a loadiine version. same with the ticket and common key of downloadable games.

I discovered something new. if an installable folder has an accent mark, possibly a tilde as well, the install will fail. I tried both system config tool and wup installer gx 2. the two games with accent marks that I have failed in both apps. I removed the accent marks, and the install is working flawlessly now. maybe I should post this information on temp as well?

I think I found a weird bug, and I think it's with the wii u system software. if u overwrite a legit ticket with a fake signed ticket while installing a game, the fake ticket will be present even if the game is deleted. when u go to redownload the game from the eshop, the fake signed ticket will cause the installation to fail unless ur using cfw.

I was/am unable to figure out the fake signed ticket issue from above. either the ticket is being left over after deletion/uninstall or Nintendo's servers r releasing a ticket that's not signed. the game in question is lucadian chronicles. I tried installing and deleting various ways, but it always left me a ticket that was unsigned. this doesn't affect updates since u have to have a legit ticket for an update to be installed. it will download fine. the game seems to as well. it's just when it starts installing. when I was in cfw (mocha), I was able to download and install the game from the eshop, just not in ofw. I still think it's a software bug of some sort. what I'm doing isn't supposed to be possible anyway. I did take the time to make my sysNAND region free which seems to be needed with certain game discs. mocha is supposed to be region free, but I think some games have additional checks.

I just installed coldboot haxchi. :D I found a bug with the installer though. this doesn't affect the system menu (only mocha). if u select mocha as ur default autoboot, it will ask u again upon exiting a game for the autoboot selection. if u select mocha again, u'll get infinite loading. it could be the haxchi title I'm using or just a general bug. @Joonie , u should check if ur system does this. if it's the game, that could be an issue. u said u were using kirby, right?
