I compared the custom render plugin.rco MD5 from 4.84 (with the gameboot mod) with the 4.85 and it didn't match, gave a different numbering, maybe that was the cause.Well, it seems you did something wrong

I did it again step by step as you wrote in the text and once again gave black screen when restarting the console ... I am installing it all over again. I have no idea what is going on.You are comparing the custom_render_plugin.rco i made... with the official custom_render_plugin.rco used in firmware versions 4.70 up to 4.85
His MD5 are different, obviouslly... because the files are different
You said your rco doesnt matches with the "step by step guide" i made... so you should not even try to write it in your PS3I did it again step by step as you wrote in the text and once again gave black screen when restarting the console ... Here dudeYou said your rco doesnt matches with the "step by step guide" i made... so you should not even try to write it in your PS3
Upload the rco you made, this way i can take a look to try to figure what are you are doing
Are you enabling the "header compression = zlib" when you compile it ?Here dude
YeahAre you enabling the "header compression = zlib" when you compile it ?
Hmm, i dont think, the custom_render_plugin.rco you uploaded (with MD5: D93D17AF61A71569123E076C54805F14) doesnt have it enabledYeah
Yes you are right, I did not enable Zlib compression on this one I sent you, I just checked ... but the others I had enabled, but still did not hit the MD5 of the "fish" password.Hmm, i dont think, the custom_render_plugin.rco you uploaded (with MD5: D93D17AF61A71569123E076C54805F14) doesnt have it enabled
Yes, sorry, i made a mistake when calculating the MD5 for the the fish.zip passwordYes you are right, I did not enable Zlib compression on this one I sent you, I just checked ... but the others I had enabled, but still did not hit the MD5 of the "fish" password.

Yes, but unfortunately it's giving this problemI mean... you said you was able to see the animation, and is displayed very good... so... is working
Then why it fails at next reboot?

To make it clear, when I used this rco ... as soon as PS3 gave the first boot, he gave black screen and did not turn off unless I pressed the button until he turns off.Yes, sorry, i made a mistake when calculating the MD5 for the the fish.zip password
Right now i have a mess of files made by different ways, but you did right all the other steps of what i said
With zlib header compression enabled it should have MD5: 37C683C6C95CAB2EBC470AF4E3E211DA
And without zlib header comrpession enabled MD5. D93D17AF61A71569123E076C54805F14 (like the file you uploaded)
I always enable it, but as far i know both should work
Anyways... the problem you are reporting of a black screen in the next reboot... is something i dont understand
I mean... you said you was able to see the animation, and is displayed very good... so... is working

Well, when I was at 4.84 I tested the two that you made and were working normally .... But now that I updated to 4.85, I didn't use either of them in the new firmware.Ok, i think i got it @Danxx444 dont do anything yet
I think we had a misunderstanding some days ago, when you was asking how to restore the coldboot/gameboot animations from firmware 1:00
In my post #191 here i uploaded a version with both, coldboot and gameboot remapped in the rco
https://www.psx-place.com/threads/a...e-1-00-2-70-to-4-84.26076/page-10#post-204984
And in my post #194 i uploaded a newer version of it where i deleted 2 lines
https://www.psx-place.com/threads/a...e-1-00-2-70-to-4-84.26076/page-10#post-205000
I thought you reported that both was working (so the most newer version won, just because was smaller)
And... for this mod of the PS4 logo gameboot i been using the second version as the base
The 2 removed lines was related with coldboot2... i guess this is why it fails at the next reboot
Please confirm what im saying is right
Do you remember if you ever tryed the version of post #194 in that thread ?... right now im thinking the problem was in that version
And that we are adding to the PS logo is from the post # 194Ok, i think i got it @Danxx444 dont do anything yet

The different firmware versions doesnt matters, because the official custom_render_plugin.rco is the same identical file since 4.70 up to 4.85Well, when I was at 4.84 I tested the two that you made and were working normally .... But now that I updated to 4.85, I didn't use either of them in the new firmware.
Yes, but i think if you use the file from post #191 is going to work perfectAnd that we are adding to the PS logo is from the post # 194
Sorry for not answering immediately, I had a little problem yesterday. But do you remember if you rebooted the PS3 when you tryed the file from post #194 ?... incase it had this problem at reboot time maybe you did not realized (because you replaced it by a different one inmediatly before rebooting ?)
And what you did after that ?... i guess you was not using the file from post #194 afther that ?
Thanks...i'll do the test and then i'll report back.Well, we are having problems, so no more minigames or challengues, i made it for you
Is based in the custom_render_plugin.rco i uploaded in post #191 of the other thread
I included a readme with the changes and MD5's
At this point you know how i made it, is the same you was doing
