PS3 Ps2 CONFIG Editor (for PS3 CFW user's) by Zar

Following developer Zar' s recent release of ManaGunz (a very useful ps3 homebrew/backup manager), the dev has a new release with PS2 CONFIG Editor that will write CONFIG files for your PS2 Games on PS3 CFW. These config flags can improve game compatibility on some titles as they have been proven to do so in the past, this tool is still in the early stages but this tool is a welcome sight for the community.

  For now, it only write CONFIG files perhaps later i'll add the possibility to read one.
  I think i'll integrate in MGZ only the comands without paramters, like it's done in the tab "simple" of the exe :p

sorry for the late response, I'll be sure to keep testing stuff out.
I just have to encrypt it and make sure it's named CONFIG only with no extensions, once placed in the PS2 Backup (SH2) folder, right?
Hopefully, I can find something to fix the issues present. Forgot to mention the widescreen patch isn't actually available on the USA version of SH2. D'oh!

wait, did you place the CONFIG inside the same folder as your iso.bin.enc? or inside the PS2CONFIG folder.. i read a similar post to you but he said he placed the CONFIG inside USRDIR.

 

It's a bug ! it will be fixed in next update sry about that.

Hi Zar, im looking for a fix of Scarface The World Is Yours! Or al least try by myself to fix it, the NTSC version SLUS-21111 is unplayable, but the PAL version SLES54182 is more playable, better fps till Tony starts driving by the City, anyway, can you help me?, maybe work on the SLES54182 will be the best option

I'm not sure if it's possible to get Scarface to work. I asked around here before and was told it's unlikely to get it running properly, the game is really demanding or something. Have heard it didn't run right on certain models of the ps2 as well, though I remember it working fine on mine. PC version is no good either unless you have an old computer or a fairly decent processor that can work fine with just a single thread. If someone with the know how could look into getting this to run stable on the ps3 though, that'd sure be awesome. Possibly my favorite GTA clone ever lol, wish I still had my ps2's sometimes but traded them ages ago for puter stuff lmao. Not a priority to obtain another one.

Anyone have a config for Bard's Tale or can instruct me to make one? I try to use the Config Editor and add 0x3D and 0x4A (you can't set a value for this) but the config file the Editor gives doesn't work. I've managed to get configs for other games (from Zarh's Github) working fine.

The bard's tale uses the same game engine than the baldur's gate games, and the actual configs we use with them are the same
So you can take the config from a baldur's gate game and rename it with the TITLE_ID of the bard's tale

 

Can someone make a config,to hulk ultimate destruction US(PS2)version,to fix that graphical glitches
