PS3 ps2_netemu.self with CELL/RSX temperature display by 3141card

Not so long time ago developer @zecoxao released @3141card modified version of ps2_netemu.self (PS2 emulator used for classics and for PS2 ISO on most PS3 consoles). What's new? Actually something very useful. With this emulator you can check your CELL/RSX temperatures while playing PS2 titles. I reencrypted elf to use with 4.81 CFW, but this was only tested by one person. So use with caution. Don't forget to check other improvements to ps2_netemu by 3141card here. ​

How to use:

• To do that just simply push button while you are in PS2 game.

How to install:

• Download and unrar ready to use self file
• Enable dev_blind
• Copy (with overwrite) ps2_netemu.self file to dev_blind/ps2emu folder using prefered method
• Restart PS3

Tested with Rebug 4.81.2 on Slim PS3, remember that you are messing with your dev_flash! Is dangerous!

Tested on my B-01 and it's working fine so far so good.

 

could be a good idea to give a MD5 of the rar folder or even file as mayby noob may have issues lol

If rar is corrupted it will not extract, if is ok there is a CRC of self when you look at it in winrar. That's why I didn't posted clean self file.

This is pretty good. Just wondering, how hard would this be to be ported to the ps2emu or ps2gxemu and could this eventually lead to webman's auto fan controller working in the ps2 mode.

 

Awesome! I'm always concerned playing PS2 games how hot my console gets since it runs the hardest on PS2 games. Great stuff!

 

Do we know what was actually done to achieve this I'm asking because I would like to try to do it too a full backwards compatible model.

Not enough knowledge about the menu stuff in this emu versions, its completely different from netemu. And I am focused on netemu.

After some effort. Technically it isn't a problem, but I am busy with other things.

No worries I know it does not run as hot when using a full BC model and majority of users are using what you are focused on. Was meerly a question but thanks for the speedy response.

Use the tag [netemu] in the file name or add ?emu=ps2_netemu when mounting a PS2ISO using webman mod 1.45.09 or newer to mount using software emulator.

That's correct.
It's only supported with wMM by aldostools, not with the original webman from deank.

The TEMPERATURE was cut out of the screen

i'm using 1080i and doesnt fit the screen
