More things coming out of the oven.

Since people are used to delete the pkg after the installation and keep saying HOW I UNINSTALL IT

i created a direcly Uninstall entry

Also

As some of my testers always messes with the files deleting some or installing other things that breaks the xmb

I don't know but on hen if a folder or link is missing it kicks you back to recovery menu ( unlike cfw) i also had this problem,

I created a System restore option

So if you have the auto-login option disabled, it prevents you to be kicked to recovery menu, because the xmb is not fully loaded.

with a xml in the usb drive, it will enabled the following menu

eaC1jv6.png

OFC for hen users the hen must be enabled to recovery it

so instead of needing to reinstall the whole fw, you can use those options:

(Off-topic @sandungas @DeViL303 , this menu can be moved?)

Note: The restore options will only show after Hen being enabled, so there is no mistake =)

But to enable it we will need to create the USB Security Drive

Ofc you can download the xml that i will provide and place it in the usb drive anytime

Use two // after localhost on ALL dev_flash xml queries.
and yes the double // after localhost is on purpose, this stops the query softbricking if the xml does not exist. This is a way to add brick resistance in the xml. ;)

Adding // here in the xml is the same thing as adding the // into the sprx https://www.psx-place.com/threads/research-brick-resistant-xmb-patch.26606/

Thanks, but it's already done.

People used to download anything in the youtube that replaces things and get issues and blame other things that is not even related to anything that happened.

A beta user installed my mod, made a video installing and how to uninstall, after uninstalling it went good, but he installed a custom hen right before it on the top of that, and it kicked him to recovery and he made another video saying my mod totally bricked his ps3 --'

The other one replaced the game category from a "custom store" and the same thing happened and blamed me, so that's why if the user do sh!* again while my mod is installed they can fix it by using a usb plugged in.

Anyways do you know which folders deletes the cache, game launch history and etc? all the things that sony can track? i'm using webman command, but i'm not a fan of using a link for opening a web page for it, so i want to do it via xai

profile folder:
  • CI.TMP (console information): internal/external IPs, router information (brand, model), console firmware information;
  • MI.TMP (media information): latest title ID, timestamp, etc;
  • PTL.TMP (process information?): list of running processes and plugins, timestamps, etc.

Yeap, i found it thanks

i will make it delete at least from 00000001 to 000000020 i think it's enough

added image as I made a copy of my original ps3's internal hdd for 2 drives. that's what psn patch and wmm deletes. wmm deletes a few other files, but I can't remember which ones they are. those are the files listed on psdevwiki

This is freezing the console

I don't know for sure, but you may need to indicate a suffice of TMP. I know that's how it's set up with packages. if you look at the deletion portion of rebug's "unlink" command, that might help. it's been a very long time since I looked at one of the xmls.

EDIT:

Seems like it supports only up to 3 operations at the same time.

HMMM maybe i'll stick with webman command

didn't know that. nice find! I'd probably just stick with webman. I think those files are recreated after deletion otherwise giant red flag to sony. you may not even be able to sign in without the one regarding console information.

Hi

Very nice work with this mod, it has evolved well from the start!

I was wondering if it was possible to make the installer offer us the choice on certain elements of the mod to install and thus better match the user.

For example I use a different XMB wave, so I have to reinstall it with each new update of the mod. Likewise for some homebrew icons that I don't necessarily like.

Continue like this, I look forward to the V5!

unfortunately it is not possible

I really like what you did with the background on media player buttons. Like the flags its very official looking and useful. These are my favorite type of mods.

Yeap, the idea came from the ps vita system that has it, and makes it easier to see in bright photos/movies/music visualization

the ideia is always add something new but keep an official look.

Off-topic

I just resigned the 3.XX game_ext.sprx and it worked with HEN, now i got the gameboot2 to work on videos and gamegaboot sound too

This probably won't work without HEN enabled right? is it worthy?
