it might be a vsh problem. rebug has three vsh.self files. one is for cex and one is for dex, and I think the last is the middleman. iirc, the names will tell you which is which. I think the middleman's name ends with swp iirc. it probably stands for swap. I don't believe the sprx you mentioned is a dex version of the file. typically, the firmware will have both cex and dex version like the xmb_plugin.sprx. I'm not sure if renaming the vsh files will work. though, you won't really be on dex anymore if you do that. you may have to use IDA to find the correct offsets for dex mode.

I'm not modding the vsh files, the only sprx that i use is the game_ext_plugin.sprx so i'm thinking this is the cause.

It freezes the system when launching a game, the gameboot doent even show , that's why i'm wondering that is the fault

I dont know why all the ppl is converting their systems, even selling them with a higher price than CEX lol

its all because some GTA mods that only works in dex i dunno i dont use it.

i'm still in 4.81 but since the files are compatible i'm supporting both of them.

And the files that i use ARE from REBUG 4.81 CEX but it is freezing the REBUG 4.81 DEX too
 
Another thing that changes in DEX is the .sprx and .rco used by XMB "settings" category

And in rebug REX firmwares (hybrids of CEX + DEX) this files for XMB "settings" category are taken from the DEX firmware
 
Tested in DEX it works (So its not the Mod itself as i thought) but freezes with CCAPI 2.80 . what can be causing this issue? @pinky @bitsbubba @sandungas

and how can i remove CCAPI without a installer, because i cant launch apks no more LOL and don want to roll back to a 4.81 CFW --> 4.81.2 REBUG since i'm on DEX Now and the XMB cannot allow me to start CEX Firmwares.

Its okay to install a CEX firmware into recovery being in DEX MODE?

i never changed to DEX before lol

if you try to install cex on a system converted to dex via the recovery menu, it should say that the firmware is incompatible with this system or something to that effect. I once tried it back on 3.55, so I don't know if the same rules apply, but I think they do.

So how i'm supposed to reinstall the CFW or unistall CCAPI 2.80

Rebug D-REX mode will work? since rebug cannot be installed in recovery mode it will be Available in XMB?

I don't know anything about ccapi. rebug will still install in the recovery menu. iirc, the only thing rebug blocks software wise in the recovery menu is bluray and bdvd updates, so you should be safe. :)
 
So running cheats with Ccapi is the only reason people convert to DEX, I wonder what cheats only work for Ccapi that haven't been convert to CEX yet?

I saw many GTAV mod menus that only works in DEX mode

I tested rco by rco

My system_plugin.rco and sysconf_plugin.rco when installed with CCAPI on DEX mode prevends anything to be launched

and the other rco dunno which one, launch games but it kicks me back to CONNECT A USB AND PRESS PS button.

but only if using CCAPI (dont matter which version) ON DEX, CCAPI on CEX works o_O

I cant relate my mod in DEX with CCAPI DEX being incompatible
 
So while this looks great, thank you, it's still not complete English yet I wanted to remove the mod, but am unable to do so. I even went as far as removing cfw and re-installing ofw to try to uninstall... but installation still persists!? Unfortunately I did this all before I realized I could have reverted within the installer app.... but now, the original backup files are lost because it detected a change in cfw and installer deleted them....

Anyone know how to restore the default rebug xmb layout? Nothing i have tried works...

Edit: Figured it out ;)

Had to delete installer, remove cfw, reinstall ofw, reinstall cfw, delete XMB Manager Plus, reboot, re-install webman mod Full, re-install webman lite... (that was exhausting...)

It's not that complicated, u just need to run the installer and restore backup.

XMBM+ May sticks in Firmwares that support it, so just delete its folder

You just had to reinstall CFW once. installing CFW then OFW then CFW does nothing extra that installing CFW once would not have done :)

doning that removed most of the the guts of the mod but did not undo the layout and language changes made to the layout of xmb. Even after deleting the app, and re-flashing cfw, the changes persist.

probably not a problem you you keep your backup or origional files but again i accidentally deleted them
