the installer that he uses for his mod (XMBM+) has always been slow to install on NAND model PS3s, I discovered this when I was back on the team. Just be patient it will get there.
Hmm.. Am not so sure..Yes its slow, it worked fine but was a little scary as it was very slow.. I gone to bed, then it was done once I got up. Test it on a other NAND model and sames to be like 2hr for NAND models, maybe a non-pkg var for people who know what they are doing will be a good thing.
3000+ makes it really slow lol, granted I think most of those are to HDD the NAND part has always been slowHmm.. Am not so sure..
On NOR it's no issue but when it comes to nand flash writing, it's better to have a slow but proven solution than risk copying files manually imho...
Iirc the xmbm+ installer uses standard C library file io functions & they are notoriously slow on the ps3. Some modifications in the installer source to use cellFs functions instead would most likely improve the situation...
Those fs library mods are changes a beginner in C/C++ could actually make.3000+ makes it really slow lol, granted I think most of those are to HDD the NAND part has always been slow
