PS3 PS3 PRO MOD Release/Information Thread

hi guys. please help i install this and my games are not loading after. the multiman seems to work well but after loading a games i cant see it on xmb menu
 
Seemed Kool.. the boot is kool actually looks better then normal. Then I realized it's mucked up my game xmb...
So I go to revert back from the back ups it's made... And low and behold this POS mod gets stuck trying to launch the app. Mad yes pissed hell yes. More concerned about the fact my PS3 sounds like a fucking helicopter or an old PC about to blow up...

So wtf should I do... I want to get it back to normal and not have my fan sound like a trailer park air-conditioner :(

It's the webman, i included it because ppl in brazilian forums, don know webman, as they keep asking i included in the installer.

and by default webman uses dynamic fan control, so that's why the cooler is running faster.

maybe i should include the config file using syscon

So reinstall my rebug because the app will not launch it freezes the PS3 up and I've tried all day to get it to launch.
 
The PS3 4k mod v1.91 application will not start.
It launch's from XMB and then the PS3 freezes, sticks, locks up. To the point I have to hard restart it.
I just want my original xmb back.
I'm on rebug 4.81.2

personally, this sounds like an hdd issue.
 
did the app even launch or work? you mention wanting your old xmb back, so I'm assuming that it did at some point.
 
It worked to the degree of changing everything then not wanting to work on working again. LOL
I'm passed being frustrated with it. MM sticks movian sticks. Media server playing movies and a few games work that's about it.
 
I think he may be on a older 20/60/80gb model as it will look like it stick or locked up, but it working fine. It just going on for like 1-2hr.

Looking to see what's new in the 2.0 var.

1-2 hours? I know that the phat NAND models are more prone to bricks with this sort of thing, but that shouldn't happen.

edit: that's for untested files.

This installer is notoriously slow on writing to NAND consoles, has been since we (Team XMBM+) developed it. I wason an A01 back then so I was the main NAND tester. The more files being installed to dev_flash (NAND) the slower it is. I'm thinking it has alot to do wish dev_flash being entirely on the NAND and not split between NOR & HDD
 
I was not aware. I know that files can be truncated with NOR models (probably not NAND unless they're large in size). you only have about 3.5MBs to work with when it comes to NOR consoles. ;)
 
I reinstalled the rebug 4.81.2 everything but the MM & retroarch icons went back to normal..
Reapplied the MM theme icon changed back. Backed up then reinstalled RA icon went back. Deleted the PS3 pro mod cuz yaaa no not again.
Webman is still installed just had to disable it from RBtoolbox for the fan/helicopter/acUnit to go back to normal.
Sorry for the hassle app wasn't overall bad it just wasn't for me.
